I made a post days ago about my struggle and what I went through...

But I think I found out what happened. I think I lost my salvation, my walk, my relationship with God. It's such a scary process I'm going through. I seem to no longer have any conviction of sin as I did, I seem to feel so deeply empty morning after morning, night after night. My prayers are dull. I have committed immoral sins that I have had a problem with for years, and its like God just gave up on me. Now I'm trying to repent as much as I can from all sins, even the immoral ones because I'm nearly scared to death if I really lost it all. I have prayed day and night for the security of my salvation, I'm still fearful. Now you might say since I fear I didn't lost the Holy Spirit. Can that be true? Feelings can be human, but I feel like a Saul who disobeyed God to the point of losing it all, and he was fearful was he not? I truly don't know if I lost it, but even if I did, I wish I could have another chance. I use to always pray that God would keep me no matter what, because I feared this exact thing. Praying that pray for years.

What do I do? I been repenting for days, I seem so dead, yet afraid.

ok - the question is not - can I lose my salvation - the question is do I have salvation

Repenting, but are you forsaking?

Are you bearing fruit of repentance - going to people you hurt, and asking for forgiveness, repaying what you owe, giving back, whatever you have done

If you are saved, and you repent and forsake the things the Holy Spirit convicts you about - then He should be witnessing to your spirit that you are His

Your alive today - today is the day of Salvation, drive a stake in the ground today if you have to - As for me - i am going to follow the Lord

We all fall short sometimes but we can boldly go to God and ask for forgiveness. The prodigal son (Luke 15:11-32) and King David (2 Samuel 11:2-17, 12:1-7) are some examples of people that committed sin against God, but asked for forgiveness and God welcomed them back. Everyone that is in sin is lost but we can repent and accept Jesus as our savior. The Holy Spirit is speaking to you, that is why you are asking these questions and wanting to have God back in your life. Don't give up, pray and read the Word. God Bless you.

This happens to every beleiver and many do not recover. I suggest a heavy dose of Romans and Galatians. What we do and do so easily is this. We take our faith off of the cross and place it in what we are doing and God will not accept that, He will only accept faith in the cross and nothing else. If your faith is properly placed in the cross then deliverance will come, it may not be overnight, but hang on, because it will come. Not in our time, but in His time. Stay focused on the work of the cross.

I was a firm believer for years. Gave my life to Christ, gave so much into it. But there was this one sin I had the most dealings with. I knew works couldn't take my salvation, but it is written that if you persist you are in danger of spiritually dying. Who hasn't had a time when they have transgressed in such a way that you feel guilty for days? Even an little persistence before repentance? Well I feel like I did quite enough to really upset God it seems. I have prayed for a reset, nothing...I have prayed for a new beginning, nothing...

Maybe I'm just going through a moment. But I have been through really hard times in my life, and they were nothing compared to this emptiness.

I wish I felt forgiven. I have been praying for forgiveness, I even tried to put faith in it. It's so dark and empty my friend I wish I knew what God is doing...

and what amount of time are you spending in prayer - thanking God, worshiping God - a fruit of salvation is sacrificial praise

though He slay me, yet I will praise Him

Dude....I really don't think it's possible. Love God with all your mind, with all your soul, with all your heart. After that, love everyone as yourself. This doesn't stop at friends/people who are nice. The biggest manifestation of your hate, you must LOVE them too. You must FORGIVE them. Feeling lost is a crazy tactic that Satan uses A LOT. He's tried it on me off and on for years. Especially when I'm sinning pretty badly. Kind of like going "hey you might as well keep sinning, God's already disgusted with you and let you go".

Here's the thing man. It's not about you anymore. It's about Him. Not about what you've done, but what has been done for you. Get hard into the Bible. Especially the words of Jesus. Work on your sins. Try to obey the laws. But remember that doing so will not EARN God's Love and Grace. Because if you had to earn Grace, it would cease to be Grace

Trust me the cause is my above post. Somewhere along the lines your faith shifted from the cross and was placed on self. Trust me. I know what I'm talking about. It happens to us all, something in us wants to rely on self and God will not accept it.

I try to spend every night in prayer, maybe 10-15 minutes. I try to read my devotional every morning to strengthen me throughout the day. I am currently reading through the entire bible, I'm at Esther, and Luke.

You repent and receive more grace. Peter flat out DENIED Jesus 3 times and Jesus simply asked Peter if he loved Him 3 times. You will not achieve perfection. But what is important is that you try your best, and try it out of LOVE. You could follow every law in the Bible and fail if you did so without Love as motivation.

True, but I have been through the peter thing dozens of times. There has been times I felt that God might have left me, or that I lost it all. But this time it doesn't even compare with the deep emptiness...my prayers seem so void...I'm starting to think to myself why am I praying I don't feel like I'm heard. I try to live in love, laws just bear a person down like a paper weight. I do feel a bit better that I am discussing it with other believers.

My friend you can't RUN from God's love. Doesn't matter where you run to or how deep into hell you think you have fallen. Even Jeffrey Dahmer experienced repentance and (in my opinion) God's Grace.

another eye eye eye post. You know what? It's not YOUR salvation, and if it is it would be best to lose that one and find the Lord's Salvation, for salvation is of the Lord. (Hope that helps).

Psalms 27:1 The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

Psalms 68:20 He that is our God is the God of salvation; and unto GOD the Lord belong the issues from death.

Psalms 98:2 The LORD hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen.

Lamentations 3:26 It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.

Even the name Jesus means 'the Lord saves'.

So how does a person get it? If it's the Lord's I mean? How does a person lose it, either, if it's the Lord's?
