No. He is nowhere near popular enough. Besides, the antichrist's plans will work out. Obama does not seem to have that going for him...at all.

No................THE Antichrist is different than "antichrist" though.............anyone who does not accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour is antichrist............don't know about Obama, he claims to be a believer, but his "works" seem to argue against that profession...........still, as with anyone else, God will judge his spiritual standing in due time.

No, I do not think Obama is the anti-Christ. I do not because:

Scripture does not define this word in a future, or in a one man context. Scripture does identify the anti-Christ:

1. In present tense.
2. As a plurality.
3. In a theological context.

This is easily verified by checking 1 John 2:18, 22; 4:3 & 2 John v. 7. These verses contain the only application of "anti-Christ" in scripture. They will tell you that "anti-Christ" identifies someone (then and now) who denies that Jesus is the Messiah, and/or someone who denies that Jesus is Messiah "come in the flesh." There are numerous millions of people who fit this description better than Barrack Obama. When Jesus walked in Palestine he told those of this mindset that "...ye are of your father the devil...ye are not of God" (John 8:44; 47). It, obviously, is they who are the prime beneficiary when evangelicals are duped into focusing on "anti-Christ" in a one man context.

Lol doesn't say it will be Nero. The signs that precede the Beast did not pass before or during Nero. Though no doubt Nero was pretty messed up according to the ancient roman historians.

You are right. However the term THE antichrist has become an easy way to speak of the one spoken of in Revelation and Daniel. It is short form. And he certainly will be against Christ, so...

No. The antichrist is to be attended by signs and wonders. All we have now is one-duh.

2 Thessalonians 2:8-9 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

I think the question should be, why is every new American president suspected to be the antichrist?

God is about to judge the daughter of Babylon
I'll take that bet that we elect a new one in 2016 despite your prediction

No. Obama is not the anti-Christ.

seems likely, I have seen variations in the way this is translated and viewed, (personally I have never done a in depth study on the original language on this verse and im weakest in Aramaic anyway so all I can do is go off the translations here)
I have an opinion on this. From the information that you just shared, and with the knowledge that if this is not the end, it's the beginning of the end, I have a question. Considering the whole world follows after him, what great religious leader that lives now does not have sex, replaces themselves as God, and tells the whole world what to do? Answer: The Pope, or the Papacy as a whole. Wait wait! Before you start calling me crazy (which is beside the point, by the way,) hold him up to the scriptures/prophesies and see what you see. If I'm wrong, show me.

In fact, I don't want to take credit for anyone else's ideas. I became curious about by reading this book: Bible Prophecy - Ellis Skolfield I cannot remember which of the books he covers it in, but it's an interesting idea.

Let the flaming begin. <puts on fire retardant suit>

nor the desire of women................... for he shall magnify himself above all."
At first glance it looks to be speaking of his lack of relations with women, but if you look at how the verse ends it says "for he shall magnify himself above all" which suggests the context of the verse is speaking of power not sexual preference. He sees all as being below him and unimportant, including women.

Maybe someone can look this up in the greek to see which way this verse leans.
