Psalm 127:1 reads 'Except The Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it: except The Lord keep the city, the keeper watcheth in vain'.

I submit that most of what is done in the name of The Lord is done by the arm of flesh.

I have done tons of things for the Lord out of pure exuberance and excitement. God didn't beat me up for it for I was but a child and thought as a child. He gets it. But He would that we come to full maturity and cultivate the 'hearing ear' that would discern His still small voice in an instant.

He's not looking for a 'body' that will do things for Him. No! He wants to do things through us by the power and leading of the Spirit of God.

This is a hard thing for many. To learn and know the difference. To dissect between our own desires and His desires. To know between a burst of self enthusiasm, creativeness and Gods actual voice speaking a thing in our spirit. There is a great difference.

Unless one experiences this holy inspiration, its impossible to totally get it.

My submission is that the majority of what is planted in His name was not inspired or even sanctioned by Christ. You have heard of the 2 wills of God, permissive and perfect. I don't hold to this. He allows foolishness, for we are not robots, but hardly labels it His will.

I believe that the lion's share of what He must put up with is highly damaging to the family of God, His precious ones. This is to draw us nearer to find out why. Not many will ever enquire.

Him in full throttle control of His body wil result in much devastation of Satans strangle hold. Except God do the work by His power, the church doing their own thing absent His direction and leading, labor in futility with small results.

I heard an evangelist years ago when I first got saved say 'God is saving souls in spite of the church'. I had already felt that in my spirit...that something was lacking, out of joint.

I hope this would spark something in everyone. Something to pray about. Something to be honest about.

This is true, but even at that God can take our bungling efforts, even if partially done in our own strength and wisdom, and turn them for His good.

Agreed. That same evangelist also pointed out 'God does bless to a degree but how much more would He bless if we ever did things His way?'

Demons know all of scripture, better than we do. They are masters at turning the word of God into a lie. Demons can influence anyone not fully armed with all of scripture and use them to fight the Lord, sometimes without the person being fully aware of how demons are using him because there are parts of scripture he lacks. We find an example of this by studying the 40 days of temptation of Jesus in the wilderness.

One scripture truth comes to mind, "we are not under law". Demons use this over and over to keep us from using written law to guide our Holy Spirit's knowledge of law. If Christians knew all of God's words and God's principles, they would be able to see the spiritual way this is truth, along side with Christ's call to obedience, telling us the way He changed law, and that all the law must be fulfilled. People would know that filling out something is not destroying it. Demons are busy and smart.

God is in charge, and gives men choices!

exactly we havd the choices to do or not do and we have to be one in him with him unted by spirti of God
so the prayer is to ask a heart that wants to serve and search him
prayer to have his love and give his love
prayer to be submitted and he controls 100 %
prayer that when we pray he gives us his desires not ours
prayer that we die to ourself so he can live in us
prayer that he uses us so we can act for his glory
he said love in truth and acts

These are so very true and good. When we were given prayer instructions it mentioned that everything must be within His Kingdom. We are told how our doing must be in spirit and truth, also.

I have noticed that there is a real problem with people mistaking their interpretation of scripture as being correct when that interpretation disagrees with other scripture so it can't be correct. These people say they can absolutely trust themselves and their reason as being from God, but they haven't checked it with all of God's words. They have let their freshly desires decide and are fully convinced they are God's desires.

So I would say that along with prayer and giving ourselves to God, along with submission, must come the word and discipline.
