For those of you who are blessed by celebrating Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread, Passover starts the night of Monday, April 14th (depending on the calendar you use).

It might not be a bad time to start looking through the house to see what you need to get rid of.

More importantly, it's a great time to start looking through your life to see what you need to get rid of.
And maybe more importantly, its a great time to start looking for ways to add the "unleavened bread" of Messiah into your life.

Looking forward to another awesome season of God's special days!

I'm looking forward to observing Passover this year. It will be the first time for me, because I didn't understand before. I'm learning that the Word of God is not a spectator sport, it's not to be read about only, but it's what we do.

Growing up, always we had "Spring cleaning". It was a time to do rigorous deep cleaning, move everything, and whatever could be put out in the sunlight, moved outside. At that time I didn't know where that custom came from. It came from the Hebrews, observing Passover!!

I hope any who observe it will post their experiences.

We have our seder coming up on the 14th and are trying to change the format around a bit so that's it more personal and provides the opportunity for more questions and dialogue.

And while Passover is truly a monumental and powerful picture of God's merciful salvation, I've grown to love the Feast of Unleavened Bread more and more each year. The act of going through our house looking for yeast is a picture of us going through our lives looking to get rid of any of the "yeast of the Pharisees." Every year, I find more places in our physical house to look at and to clean. Every year I find new areas of my life to clean out as well. Our church has been cleaning out our cabinets for yeast the last couple of weeks, and we'll do the final cleaning just before Passover. Our family will do ours the weekend before I imagine.

I've been learning about the history of our church, and the progress toward getting rid of the feast and why they did it. I've gone through several histories of the Jewish people and it is all a history of how our church has treated them through the years. The church was out to get rid of them for years, and all they stood for while they quietly exhibited reverence for God even with their blindness to Christ. The history of our world seems to revolve around the Jews, and how we react to God is part of it.

I have learned that this post would never have been done, even if the internet was here then, before 1970. It was the scholars who worked with the deep sea scrolls who opened our eyes to the importance of what the OT told us.

We are so blessed to live in a time when we know to celebrate Passover and not the pagan Easter! I was born in 1925, we had no idea of all of this, then. Scripture told us, yet we didn't listen before.

Now, the reaction to us who know is so much like the reaction to the idea of Luther's that each person is responsible for their own salvation. The church is clinging tightly to their traditions instead of scripture, and it is almost funny to watch them scramble to make scripture back their position. They can not even know Sun Day was named to worship the sun.

Now if the world changed back to Passover instead of Easter, it would be major. Stores base their merchandise on Easter, taking rabbits and eggs out of Easter would be major. Many people only go to church on that day. Whatever would our ministers do if Passover replaced Easter? If it was a purely spiritual time, instead.

Cool Palm Sunday as so many call it the 10th= Lamb taken=Jesus enters Jerusalem
Preparation day Jesus crucified the 14th=lamb slaughtered
Saved by the blood Jesus buried the 15th=God Passed over the night that followed the 14th to see (beginning of unleavened bread)
Jesus raised from the grave day 18th=water is made fit to drink (proof in the following Scripture)

Exodus 15:22-26 (KJV)
[SUP]22 [/SUP]So Moses brought Israel from the Red sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water.
[SUP]23 [/SUP]And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah.
[SUP]24 [/SUP]And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?
[SUP]25 [/SUP]And he cried unto the LORD; and the LORD shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them,
[SUP]26 [/SUP]And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God,and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.

Actually royal, that's not the case. The Feast was never meant to be about being "Jewish". If that's what people make the feast about, then they miss out on 99% of the blessing and revelation of it. For those of us who's salvation lies solely in Jesus, Passover and Unleavened Bread serve as a reminder and a celebration of Jesus' atonement and salvation, as well as the sanctifying work He does in us everyday. As I mentioned before, it's can be an exercise of getting the sin and junk out our lives, to get rid of the "yeast of the Pharisees". I've been doing it for 10 years now, and I fall more in love with God every year because of it.

Hope this helps a bit,
Matt

Good scripture when comparing spiritual with spiritual. Carnal thoughts do not apply.

1 Corinthians 2:13 (KJV)
[SUP]13 [/SUP]Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

Deuteronomy 10:16 (KJV)
[SUP]16 [/SUP]Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked.

Deuteronomy 30:6 (KJV)
[SUP]6 [/SUP]And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.

Jeremiah 4:4 (KJV)
[SUP]4 [/SUP]Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.

Mark 9:41-48 (KJV)
[SUP]41 [/SUP]For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.
[SUP]42 [/SUP]And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.
[SUP]43 [/SUP]And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
[SUP]44 [/SUP]Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
[SUP]45 [/SUP]And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
[SUP]46 [/SUP]Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
[SUP]47 [/SUP]And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:
[SUP]48 [/SUP]Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

Shadow the the spiritual my friend. That applies for today. The physical temple doesn't exist anymore either, but it still exists spiritually.

1 Corinthians 3:16-17 (KJV)
[SUP]16 [/SUP]Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
[SUP]17 [/SUP]If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

As you will see the circumcising of the heart is actually in the law, for Deuteronomy is the 5th book of the Pentateuch. It's classified as the Torah/law. Moses was still alive during that time in history.

I added post 13 to clarify that circumcision still applies spiritually according to the Word. GBU

John 1:1 (KJV)
[SUP]1 [/SUP]In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Matthew 4:4 (KJV)
[SUP]4 [/SUP]But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Deuteronomy 8:3 (KJV)
[SUP]3 [/SUP]And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.

Unleavened Bread. Christ, and Christ alone.

Passover. One of the events and celebrations fulfilled by the Lord Jesus Christ.

Its very good to remember what Christ has done for us. Its not the celebration that blesses us, but it is Christ who blesses us. That is the difference between the shadow and the Light.

God Bless you guys...

and there is a differce, by sending an angel of death, or jesus to die for our sins. history is marked for a reason, Passover restriction were spoken to a jewish people. and to them Passover is a big thing. however Christ came some years later.
47 for the lord said to moses and aaron these are the restriction for the Passover.
the word never stopped speaking after creation. but spoke many time to a jewish people, summed up with history of the jewish people. this Passover celebrates the angel of death, passing over a jewish people. for the lord himself, said there is a restriction to this Passover.

Same days different years. Salvation was planned before the creation. Jesus entered Jerusalem the same day the Passover lamb was secured, and He was put to death the same day the lamb was slaughtered. There is cleanly a relationship from the first Passover to Jesus Christ. There is a whole lot more in relationships. This is just for starters.

John 17:4-5 (KJV)
[SUP]4 [/SUP]I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

the jewish people were led by moses and aaron, clearly you mix you history time charts, again moses story and the story of jesus are mixed spiritual. however they still speak of a time in history.
