James 5:14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: 15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.


Anointing works many times better than prayer alone for many reasons, The power isn't in the oil but the oil is a point of contact and if is scented according to the Bible oil the scent is a constant reminder of the promise that stays with you for hours. Prayer cloths and anointing with oil work big time.

I could share more on this but I'm sure many of you have much to say about this as well. And how it can be done.

Jesus said according to your faith be it unto you. Mat 9.29 Right now I am having urinary problems passing a little blood every once in a while not bad. To top it off satan is messing with my lower extreemities as well. I need prayer. I keep thinking what will I say to my dr. If I go see Him monday about the pain. Their is a little normal once in awhile but satan is putting some pain there as well for whem I pray in the spirit with my hands there I can feel him moving sometimes leaving all together. I know his ways; I have been mightily attacked by him quite a bit in the past twenty years. Have no church at this time to go to . any way I am sure God will help and heal me thanks for the prays. I see you have faith Since you have no one to anoint you with oil, a small dab of regular vegetable or olive oil on the head and stomach will work, I'm praying for you. I am also asking God for the right people to have a fellowship with. Tell your doctor everything and work on getting completely well, I'm believing this will happen.

sounds like you have a urinary tract infection.

Go to a clinic and get antibiotics.

God gave us Drs and antibiotics for a reason.

Here's a few things that anointing oil prayers have accomplished in my life as well as others close to me.

We had wild things going around our house for months it was a crazy time One day it hit a peak and my brother comes running up stairs He was white like he saw a ghost saying to me" I saw a face in the mirror" and so later I took my oil and prayed over the house and dabbed a smudge of oil on top of the doorways commanding anything to get out in the name of Jesus. instantly there was great improvement and the house was exercised.

I've had so many hurtles in my mind many things are attributed to freeing me from things that held me. Being prayed over and anointed with oil was very helpful as was everything else and every other prayer.

You get the church to pray over a cloth take it to the sick person and they recover, or for a loved one who is not a believer tormented by the devil or influence by the devil and put it under his pillow without him knowing it and watch it work. These work really good too. I've seen it work many times.

If we don't exercise our faith how will we raise the dead?

They anointed my mom with oil, she had the worst kind of cancer and now she's cancer free that almost never happens. ( I'll post a more complete entry on her healing in the testimony forum)

This is found in the midst of a series of instructions on dealing with elders. It is most probably refering to the laying on of hand for the giving of gifts or offices. On the other hand, James instructs that when anyone is sick among you, let him call upon the elders of the church for the laying on of hands. I am sorry you are reluctant to participate in this ministry.

I agree more than you know and I will always careful who I let pray over me. People who claim to be Christian do exceeding damage and theft when allowed to lay hands on the people who don't have discernment. I also know that you can't get anything from someone who has nothing They prey with an "E" on the new believer more effectively because they can more easily fake being a loud Christian to them. Then theres the reverse that can be true, something in the person being prayed for gets onto the people praying like a sexual sin. (not as big a danger as the first thing though) This subject should take another thread but I doubt it can be learned without direct experiences.

Even some of the churches that know some of what is going on welcome this flakiness. I once went to a good church they let it in knowing what they let in and the church destroyer who planed to take over destroyed the church, she destroyed five so far likely more "But you don't understand she reads the Bible and sings praises to God louder than the rest!" Mom and I left when she came knocking at the front door of the church saying "Let me in." and one said I'll open it!!!" and we were gone before the service started. This person Cursed our pastor and wife in there front yard, she was manipulative, My brother overheard her and some friends in a restaurant in town she was saying "we need to get rid of the pastor SO WE CAN TAKE OVER THE CHURCH" They succeeded in doing that because some of her followers made it impossible for our pastor to lead and he had to protect his wife. It’s a very long story but even after all this her bamboozled followers clung to her like a fly clings to poop.

She destroyed my friend Hispanic pastor's church as well. He taught me much and is now a youth pastor in Texas. I even tried to warn him but he didn't listen I think he learned.

I saw this evil going on with her over a year before she did anything too blatent otherwise shes a very likeable person. I don't have unforgiveness for her God is going to deal with her I wouldn't want to be in her shoes or aria when it happens I expect a big hole will swallow her up. She's evil and to be avoided.

I want to thank you all for your concern over the children of God. May The Lord bless you all abundantly and meet all your needs.
God does answer prayers. I feel by your prayers and faith in Jesus that I am healed. Jesus said according to your faith so be it done unto you.
I have not been able to see a doctor of as yet, but will tues. I drank about 6 0z. of aloevera juice and chunks, one in the morn
and one in the evening, for three days and the bloodd issue stopped totally.
I read on the web about it and already had some that i had bought some days priior to the issue. Either it healed me or Jesus did by your prayers.
Either way I give glory to the Father.

Hello Bobby Joe:

Concerning Prayer Cloths and Oil, I am in 100 % agreement on their use. This is because our Lord and Savior gave those who believe and follow Him, to use this Gift. I am not ashamed to say that I have used it myself on many occasions with God intervening with healing.Many Christians have these Gifts but God is not going to verbally tell you that you have them. Our prayers are with you. God Bless.

I wouldn't think It would matter in fact if you only had a paper napkin it would work.

Lol, The first thing I thought was "so you looked in the mirror and you saw a face? The second thing I thought was his face is white like a sheet, then I knew what it was.
