When I ask the Lord for anything, I put it to the smell test first, and by that I mean, am I asking for something I really need, or just want and by having it will profit me nothing.
That "test" is James 4:2,3....."Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not........................Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts."
Now with that being said, let me testify. God will answer even the smallest prayer if you ask it in the guidelines that He lays out for us.
I had borrowed a friends sawzall to cut some sapling roots in my yard. I had literally dozens of them to eradicate, as my yard was unattended for the year I was in convalescent care, and the first year I got back home, (physically unable to perform even mundane chores).
I had to put a new blade in this saw, and when I did I didn't get the screw that hold the blade guard in place, tightened properly. Not a big deal, but you don't want to borrow something from someone and give it back to them needing repair.
Now I have to use glasses when I get real close to something as my sight is faltering in my latter years. The area I lost this screw was like a tilled garden. Black dirt, holes, clumps, roots, uneven, and just generally someplace you don't want to lose something black and no bigger than the end of your little finger.
Sat for a minute and then went to look for it. Took an extendable magnet on the chance that maybe I could drag it thru the dirt and find it that way, 'cause I knew with my eyes and the terrain the way it is, I was not going to see it. After all, I lost it somewhere in an area of about 20 by 30 feet.

As I walked toward the area, I said "Lord find this screw for me please. I won't be able to."
Got there, bent over and slowly scanned to the right. Looked for all of ten seconds, and there it was!
Not a big deal at all, but one that bouyed my spirits.

My dear friends, live as closely to the bible as you can, don't ask for something to play with, and God will answer your prayers! Praise the Lord!

In my life I have had numerous prayers answered specifically and to the extent that there is no way it was anything other than God.....I have also had quite a few (no's) as well when I wasn't exactly walking upright at the time I asked.....

I needed $200 once to finish a project and didn't have the cash so I prayed on a Saturday night on the way home and told God that I needed it and didn't have anyway to get it...the next day at church a man who had attended twice walked up to me and told me that he felt a desire to give me some money and thought I could use it.....Strange thing is...

1. I hadn't told anybody
2. It was exactly $200

I have had stuff like this happen more times than I can count on both hands and both feet HAHA Serious!

Monday morning my pickup quit on me on the way into town. It was about 20 degrees and windy. I ran it low on gas, as is my wont, but after putting in a few gallons it still didn't start. Felt kind of like ignition when it quit. That made me wonder, as I had put a new distributor in it last year, and the only part of the ignition system on that vehicle that isn't in the distributor is the coil and spark plugs. Coils rarely fail on this thing.

Had it towed home and checked it yesterday after it warmed a bit. I am not going to work outside in that cold. A friend is keeping some cars in my shop so I can't do it inside. Put the scanner on it, and sure enough, it came up with a primary ignition failure. Called the parts store and had them check on which distributor I had used. Reman or new was available, and being tight, I usually put reman on my car, which means it would have less warranty. Low and behold I happened to have put in a new one.

O'Reilly's sent me a replacement, put it in and it fired right up. Total cost was $50 for wrecker service.

So why am I testifying for the Lord you might ask? He didn't make the distributor, so it wasn't His fault. Yet it failed a few blocks from my house. I drive to OKC frequently and it could easily have quit 60 miles from home. That was a blessing. And the cost was minimal. I put it in yesterday. We had a couple of hours of unexpected sun (today was supposed to be the nice day) so I didn't piddle around and fixed it. The sun disappeared and it cooled off just a few minutes after I finished. Started misting and it has misted most of the day.

My back bothers me the most when I bend over. Doing dishes and laundry, for instance, really puts me in a bind. The distributor is on the back of the motor on this car, which means bending over and really stretching to get to it. Back held up better than it has since I came home. I would not have even tried to replace it this time last year.

So thank you Dear Lord, for the weather, my health, and most of all, Your boundless grace and generosity!
Can I get an amen from the congregation?:)

I believe Yahweh is constantly showing us:

Matt 10:29-31, "Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them falls to the ground without your Father's will. Even the very hairs upon your head are all numbered; Therefore, do not be afraid: for you are worth more than many sparrows."

When in the Bible they called on witnesses, is that they wanted someones to witness their testimony because back then, because most people didn't know how to read and write in order to make a contract (Covenant) in writing with someone, so they called on someones to be a witness (Which it has to be two or more). Scribes were normally the witnesses that had dictated testimonies for others in those times. Moses had scribes to write down his testimonies, the five books; and then when he had died, the witness had started to write down Joshua testimonies. They must write down word from word eventhough Moses had spoken at times using Egyptian's loan-words at time, they must write them words down as well. Luke was the scribe for Paul as well.

Ruth 4:10 I have also acquired Ruth the Moabite, Mahlon’s widow, as my wife, in order to maintain the name of the dead with his property, so that his name will not disappear from among his family or from his hometown. Today you are witnesses!”

Not everyone learned to read and write in ancient Egypt. Only one group of people called scribes was allowed to have this knowledge.

God will provide, no doubt...
I prayed for something last night.. While being out in my back yard... After I said amen, the wildest thing happened.Something I've never seen before, over on top of a fifty foot tree, I seen a bright light, " like a camera flash " but big and it was soft to the eyes, " I could look at it ", then it moved south and vanished... All in about three seconds..miracles, amazing I tell ya!!

Jesus also said to ask and receive that our joy may be full. John 14:24. Sometimes I have asked for something that would just bring me joy.

He has answered - and just for my joy! Nothing earth-shattering. Nothing I really needed. But just because that is Jesus.

That makes me think of how and what I ask for from God. I w ould like to be further along, from the standpoint of my health, but I rarely ask for anything along those lines. I am in my poor health, for the most part, because of how I have worked (not using enough assistance), and things I have done sinful (drinking). He has, without me asking, completely healed my body of all ailments associated with drinking. Doctors said I would have serious problems as a result of that for the rest of my life. However, my back and knees are just worn out. I have lumbar spinal stenosis and it is acute. That distresses me greatly at times.

Haven't asked, and won't for Him to touch my back. I am simply embarrassed to ask for anything more. God has been so good to me, and I have failed Him time and again. I am ecstatic that He has been longsuffering to me and given me one more chance at salvation. I am not about to find out if I have any chances left.

The reason for my hesitancy, other than feeling completely undeserving? I am so far in debt to Christ now it terrifies me.
For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.
All I want to do is give my all to God and pray He accepts that, which He said He would.

I know it sounds silly, but I really feel that way. I always liked to do for myself, and benefiting from His graciousness without hope of giving anything back is humbling and embarrassing. As foolish as it sounds, I feel like I'm on spiritual welfare and it makes me feel useless. That is the root for my zealousness for Him. I can never tell enough people about Him, and it is paramount for me to try to convince people of His love and mercy.

Had a crooked garage. All my efforts to fix it in vain. A storm came through and neighbors tree fell on it. It straightened it up. I tacked a four by eight to the inside. Garage fixed. I needed 1200.oo to finish siding on house. A small hole was in roof by the same tree. Insurance wrote me a check for....you guessed it, 1200.00. I fixed hole myself and bought the siding I needed. Somebody praise Him!

Went to Goldsby Oklahoma this morning for some Blazer parts. Coming home and had to use the restroom. Stopped at one convenience store and it was occupied. I usually wait, but this time I decided to go on. Went a few miles down the road and stopped again. Pulled up next to a little ford suv and a gal comes around with jumper cables. I got out, asked if she needed a jump. She said yes, and I said let me use the restroom and I will oblige.
Came back, hooked up the cables and told her how much God must love her. After all, I sez, He sent me here instead of letting me wait on the last one.

I just so hope that she mulls that over and that seed finds fertile ground.
God is great.
Just had an old friend pull up with a flat. He is struggling, but he is a man of God. I pulled his old tire off ( I say tire, it was nothing but a rim and bead) and told him to call me in the morning. I'll go to the tire store in the morn and put a good one on and he'll be good to go.

Thank you Lord, for a couple of things right now - sending me someone I can help, and allowing me to bend their ear in your favor.

This happens so often in my wife's life and mine, that asking God's help is the first thing we think of anymore. We don't even begin to look if it's not right in front of us. We simply say, "Ok, God, we need your help again."

It is amazing how God works....A few years back I had been witnessing to a Russian girl in my communtiy (her mom owned a small store near me) and I had been working with her for a few months and she was asking a lot of questions.....well that summer we had a week or two of 105-107 temps and her and her boy friend had broken down about 30 miles from the nearest town....at the very moment she was praying to God and saying that if he was real that he would send someone to pick them up......as she prayed this very thing I pulled up and asked her if they needed a ride.....she started crying.....got mad and never again asked me another question about God.........tragic..she asked for proof, got it and rejected it! Hopefully the seed sowed will be watered and come to fruition!

I'm glad I'm in good company. As soon as I have to search for something I pray, "Lord, YOU know where it is but I don't. Please show me." :)

Dcon, we know God's word does not return void. All we can do is what we do. It ain't about us, it is about salvation. He loves us as much as He loves them.

Know what? I want everything and everyone that God loves in eternity with me. :)

i have always gotten from God what i ask for in prayer, How?

1Jn 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
1Jn 3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
1Jn 3:24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

Want all your prayers answered, then you MUST follow these Biblical guidelines. Answered Prayers

Back in 2009 my truck wasn't running very good. Sounded like it was running on 7 cylinders. So I took it to a shop and they said $1700 for new injectors. Well I couldn't afford that at the time. So I took the truck home and took it apart. I asked the Lord "Please help me fix this truck, Lord, in Jesus Name".

After I got everything apart I immediately saw one of the injectors was missing a small nut on one end of a bolt. The nut was much smaller than Phil's sawzall screw. So I removed that injector and took it in for a remanufactured injector. (You can't buy brand new injectors...) I put the reman injector in and voila! Thank you Jesus! Its been running great ever since.

In the big scheme of things I suppose a bad injector is not that big of a deal. But it was a big deal to me...
