"If anyone injures his neighbor, as he has done it shall be done to him, fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth; whatever injury he has given a person shall be given to him." Levit 24:19-20

"You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.' But I Say to you, do not resist one the one who is evil." Matt 5:38

And when Jesus finished these sayings, the crowds were ASTONISHED at his teaching, as he was teaching them as one who had authority, and not as their scribes. Matt 7:28-29

Seems to me Jesus was making some major changes.

And HOW! Too bad more people don't see the POSITIVENESS these changes would bring.

You have the Levitical Priesthood and the Priesthood after the Order of Melchizedek. Hebrews 7 talks about this in detail.

Wonder why Jesus never talked of Melchizedek?

"But be on guard, I have told you ALL THINGS beforehand." Mark 13:23
