That we have forgotten what our purpose is:

And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.
Mark 1:17

36Seeing the people, He felt compassion for them, because they were distressed and dispirited like sheep without a shepherd. 37Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. 38"Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest." Matt 9:37

Nah, I do not know anyone who this would pertain to.

Some people just understand the law and its purpose.

And if you think you can keep the law. Well you do not understand it, period

Jesus was and still is focused on that one lost sheep..........want you help him or her ?
God forbid anyone would want to help save someone already condemned by the law. We have to focus to much on keeping the law ourselves to help someone else.

Ms. damonbomb:

For example: Here is what Ephesians 2.8 & 9 says about lawkeeping:

.......................................................................

(It's by grace, through faith, not of works.)

hmm, i suppose we can offer a form of law and call it the 'Gospel',..

I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
(Gal 1:6-9)

Jesus said to follow Him, how is one to know how without knowing how? Jesus never said to "ask Him to come into your heart" and you're good to go, He said "Learn of Him, His yoke is easy, His burden light." Accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior is just the first step. If that is all we have to say, that would be like a seed planted among thorns and it cannot grow without daily renewing our minds by trusting Him and learning what our Lord wants and obey what He says.

God said to guard His Word, not abandon it when we accept Christ as Lord. Jesus only did what Father wanted, to bring glory to God and to Himself for having done the job He was sent to do.

men and women have been doing this since the law was first given. Sadly to many men and women buy into it. So it will always be with us.

the problem with this is the must first be born into his family. If we tell them what they should do after, (something they can not even comprehend, or have the ability to do) first. we may lose them before we gain them (which I have seen FAR to often )

There is no better time to show some instructions than when at first a soul believes. Not doing so is leaving them with wolves who plant doubt and a different gospel than Jesus taught.

As far as keeping the law Paul said we do not void out the law but we establish the law.

Paul said that they law is spiritual, good, and holy,so everybody has to keep the law which is the only way to be right with God.

But no man can completely do good all the time with out the Spirit which f led by the Spirit you will act like Christ and will not fulfill the desires of the flesh.

Paul is speaking the we cannot keep the law or be good all the time,or do not go by the law to be right with God while in the flesh for the flesh will fail at keeping all of God's holy commandments which is goodness.

But Paul said if we are in the Spirit then we can keep the law for the Spirit is leading us and not the flesh which we have to establish the law.

The truth is everybody has to live up to the law and establish the law like the man Christ Jesus to be right with God which we cannot do in the flesh but we can do in the Spirit.

The truth is,

everyone HAS failed to do this

Everyone IS failing to do this

Everyone WILL fail to do this.

(which is what scripture says)

So I guess according to you. No one can be right with God?

Actually, the first most important thing is to secure them in their position in Christ, And knowledge that God will never leave nor forsake them. That as Paul says in Christ has perfected those who are being made holy.

A person who does not understand this, should never be taken to the law. For all he could feel is condemnation.

Where does the Word contain that? Aren't we to encourage each other to good works?

Encouraging someone to do good works. And teaching them a law we can not keep in a way God demands are two totally different things are they not?

True, we are to point them to Jesus, who died for them. Have we all forgotten how and when the Lord pulled us from the pits of hell.

Luke 5:32…31And Jesus answered and said to them, "It is not those who are well who need a physician, but those who are sick. 32"I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance."
