The Remedy!

As you know, in some stage of our life we all ask BIG questions. Perhaps some of us still do. And sometimes we all go to extremes length’s to find answers to our BIG questions.

Here are just a few questions that come to mind:

1. Where do we come from?
2. What’s wrong with the world?
3. Does anyone care about me?
4. Is there hope for the future?
5. What does love really mean?
6. How will this all end?

These are just a few questions many will ask, and will go great lengths to search for the answers to these questions.

In the Bible, God offers us the answers to all these questions. But more than that…
He offers us hope. Like that saying: there is hope in hopeless.

The Beginning!

God created the world and everything in it. Even Scientists, after many years of trying to disprove that God created the world, they are accepting the fact That God is the creator.
God made the universe and the stars, planets and galaxies. He created all the animals, birds and the sea creatures. The list goes on. But he saved the best till last – he made us.
There are 2 big differences between humans and the rest of God’s creation.

1. God made us in his own image (Genesis 1: 27) YOU are made in his image, so that makes us special.
2. He breathed his life into us (Genesis 2: 7) making us spiritual beings with the ability to respond to him. You were created to know God and to love him. Though given us the free will of course, God did not make us like robots.

The Rebellion!

In the beginning God gave us the freedom of the whole world with just one command. “ you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die” (Genesis 2: 17) God didn’t make us to be like robots. He gave us a free will and gave us the ability to make our own decisions.
Hence why many believers will say that God planted that tree as a test.

Even though they were living in paradise, the people God had created chose to rebel against him. They disobeyed his command and ate from the tree. This is were sin came into the world.

The Consequence

The world today is a twisted version of the perfect world God created. All the suffering, struggles, tragedies, and tears. They are not of God’s fault, they are the consequences of sin.
I’m sure you heard many people blaming God for all the bad things that happen, but he is not to blame at all. It’s the consequences of sin that was brought in by man in the first place.

The bad news is that we are all part of the problem – “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3: 23) As you may not like to hear this, but we are all guilty of sin (lying, Stealing, hatred, jealousy, lust, rejecting God) and the list goes on. So we are to blame for the bad consequences in our lives. And as a consequence we deserve God’s punishment. The punishment for sin is death – we are all going to die. The ultimate tragedy of sin means that we will be separated from God for ever.

The Remedy!

The good news is that God doesn’t want us to be separated from him – so he did something about it! God loves YOU so much that he gave his only son, Jesus Christ. He took our punishment for our sin, and he paid the price of our death and separation from God. Jesus was nailed to a cross, cut and whipped, speared plunged in his body, beaten to death, and was made to carry a very heavy wooden cross, because he loved us that much, and wanted to give us that remedy and way out of death. God provided a way out, and put his own son in place of you. We should be on that cross, but God wanted us to have a place in heaven. And he shown us so much love, his son took our place on the cross.

Amazingly Jesus rose from the dead 3 days later – proving that he has power over sin and all its consequences, even death. He is still alive today and he will never turn his eye to those who turn to him, he can save you. (John 3: 16) “For God so loved the world he gave his only begotten son, that who so ever believes in him shall not perish, but have ever lasting life.”

The U-turn and response.

Jesus offers you and all forgiveness and eternal life as a free gift. Don’t wait until you’re good enough, Many religions today, has been created by man to confuse, and offer ways to get to God and get eternal life. God Don’t like that at all. As He and he only can offer eternal life and forgiveness. If you go by or live by religions, you will never ever be good enough to go to heaven. But Jesus is the only way.

Jesus promises that anyone who trusts in him will be saved. He wants you to trust him with your heart and life and to receive his true real love, that Religions, and all the confused belief’s and faiths out in the world can’t offer. You can only receive true forgiveness from Jesus. All you have to do is accept! The question is, WILL YOU?

If you want to accept Jesus offer, you need to pray.

1. Tell him you’re sorry for all the sin, and that you are turning to him for forgiveness, and that you want him to be King of your life from now on.
2. Thank him for dying on the cross for you in your place, and for rising from the dead to give you a new life.
3. Ask him to come into your life, and to help you live for him.

So what happens next? If you have accepted Jesus in your heart and life, you will begin an amazing journey as God will show you a path you must follow.

So most of your BIG questions will now be answered. The more you read your Bible (God’s true Words) So walk with God, and remember what God wants you to do, think of that small 3 letter word BIG! Because thats what God will be in your new life with God.

So there you go, even a small word can mean big.
