Is it better to be the 'rich man' or be Lazarus to enter Heaven?
yea,its a troublesome question......

The question really meant is are we Spiritually deprived enough to hunger for more of God's Presence, when world is celebrating, enjoying and living in all kind of pleasures..

In short what is deep inside the deepest part of our heart and where is our Hope?
Is it the yearning for God and Heaven; or whatever world brings to sway from God..?
yea,i made this thread because i felt questioned, and i am wondering how many feel like this...

Its so Good that through Jesus and in Jesus the way was provided, that we can neglect the world and move in God,the Sacrifice on the Cross is without an excuse a call for us to be Lazarus than rich man...
No,question or polls here ;)
Let's all examine ourselves...

Our God Lord Jesus is Our Light :)

Perhaps Abraham is a good balance of being in the world but not of it.

As a younger person I would pray Lord please don't come until I am married and have had kids. I guess I thought I'd be missing out on something this life has to offer. I see now just how trivial those kinds of prayers were.

Jesus gave His ALL for me and the rest of us so that we would have the BEST LIFE not just some shell of an existence that we have on this earth. Back then I was too young and ignorant to realize this.

Having lived life for 59 years now and made my share of mistakes I wish my prayers had been please come now Lord Jesus and save us the hardships we live everyday. Being older has made me want to be with God and live with Him and I'd like to think I have matured a little from what I thought would be a great life. What I know now that I didn't know then was that the Greatest Life would be to live with God for eternity and learn more of His everlasting love that He has for us all.

Why do we still want the things this world has to offer? I pray we all wake up to the fact that God is waiting for us to unite and get ready to live with Him forever. We need to sound the battle cry and help tell the world that He is almost here. Repent and get ready We are Just This Side of Heaven and our Heavenly Father is waiting with open arms.

“Two things I ask of you, O LORD; do not refuse me before I die: Keep falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread. Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you and say, ‘Who is the LORD ?’ Or I may become poor and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God. . .” Proverbs 30: 7-9, NIV

"Going to Heaven" is a supreme goal, though that isn't where the Righteous will spend eternity. Since the Children of God will always be where Jesus is, we'll be spending time on this old earth ruling with him, and enjoy the new earth replacement. Heaven will be our Rest & Relaxation abode where corporate worship goes on continually. We'll all have jobs to do down here when we return with the Lord after the great tribulation. Jesus will easily be found on earth, in the old city Jerusalem, sitting on the now hidden throne of King David, as eternal King and Lord of all. Look forward to your role under his command. Once anyone arrives there in glorified body, none will appreciate having only been willing to settle for toilet bowl cleaner for eternity.

Life in this mortal flesh is about as short as the flash from a firecracker compared to eternity. What a waste to devote that little flash of mortal life to the flesh and selfishness, while a few put off the unrighteousness for the great prize intended for each of us.
