Okay, I've been on CC since about '12 but only starting participating early this year or late last year. I have been incredibly affected by many of the things I've read on the forums and heard in the chat rooms. I know some people who would like to let off a rant but haven't done it yet. I'm going to do mine.

Here are some of the things that have grated (like really grated) on my nerves here:

1. Presumption. People don't ask questions anymore; they don't get to know you or where you're coming from. It's like Democrats vs. Republicans; if someone disagrees with you, you're automatically on the other side. Instead of starting a conversation and getting to know what you're saying, they just say you're wrong. How can people not fight and be defensive when told they're wrong or when you're approached as if you're wrong.

2. Fake Intelligence. This sort of fits with the above. People learn a few things and then think it's everything. The most embarrassing thing for me is to see someone who thinks they have it all right (pastor, prophet, angel from Heaven, Bible student, professor, it doesn't matter to me) but who has it all wrong or someone who thinks they're intelligent but have only gathered knowledge that's entirely and totally useless. I've never been impressed by one thing on earth or beyond except a person or people who GENUINELY want to live for God. It's aggravating to watch some people trying to appear smart; who is impressed by dead religion and bone dry knowledge? Really. Get real. Find something fun to do with your time. Please.

3. Lack of Teachability. We're supposed to learn from each other; no one can have all the knowledge and experience everyone needs. Some people don't want to learn; they can't change and won't change. They feel less than if they don't know more than.

4. Lack of Brain Sense. Let's face it; our satan-led media and our Christianity have made many of us as dull as butter knives. Yes, christianity has been used to subjugate (deceive, dumb down) entire cultures and people groups; some satanists right now specifically use it to dumb down Christians; and some homeless shelters still are purposely using it like brainwashing to dumb down and make stupid the homeless in order to, among other things, keep them homeless. Some people cannot grasp basic or self-explanatory things. (Before we think none of this is true, Paul addresses this same issue of immaturity several times.) Sometimes I feel like I'm talking to myself; then someone responds and it's the person who doesn't get one bit what I'm trying to convey.

5. Lack of Unity. There seems to be, when discussing the Bible in the rooms or forums, a floating lack of unity. People want to compare and contrast beliefs instead of working to get along. We're such an isolated society that people are afraid to be open and be known, therefore (and don't forget pride), people often do more to push people away than to befriend and walk beside them. Seems to have its pros... but how's it working.

Anyone ever get tired of talking and fighting and striving? Pride comes free, and moronism is its topping. What about doing something different. Where are the REAL interesting people in this world.

I like this post.

One of the things that come to mind for me is Romans 12:17-18
Do not repay evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. If it is possible and as far as it depends on you, be at peace with everyone
It is saying that we shouldn't play fair....we should treat others better than they treat you.

We are an argumentative society who does not know how to listen and is filled with pride and want to be right, smart handsome and beautiful in the eyes of men.

We also live in a society where things 'eternal' are pretty much discouraged and in it's place the talk is fashion, sports, houses, vacations, business etc. etc., so of course forums like this will attract those who are itching to speak things eternal because others are here for that same purpose.
Hopefully, we can learn to do it respectfully and in truth.

I don't mean to brag, but I think I'd be dull as a butter knife without any media at all.

Good thread Allin. Actually, I did want to know more about the the practices of those you said in another thread you broke away from. The reason is, although I've been a Christian most of my life, and all my family are, I just recently found out that some of the traditional Christian things are wrong as wrong can be! It was quite a shock actually, but I am praying more than ever to be on guard and to beware of lies of satan. The more I study the Word, the more aware I am of that adversary, and how he has deceived the world in so many ways.

I saw a testimony of a man who said he had broken away from satan worshipers and gave a summery of what their goals were.

1-destroy the Bible without burning it
2-endoctrinate as many as possible with the theory of evolution
3-make people think the devil isn't real
4-thru education, teach young ones there is no absolute truth

To my knowledge I've never personally known anyone of the occult, and wondered if you'd care to shed more light. Though I don't believe we need to obsess about the devil, we need to be wise to his tricks.

As a person who rarely watches tv, whenever I do it is striking how fast it is evolving into total smutt, and it's weird to me that so many people can't even see it. They act like it's normal. I guess it's because as regular tv viewers they are like the "frogs in the pot" and it's been gradually getting worse. It's obvious to me who owns the media.

I know where you are coming from. I see everything you list. I do have one issue with you. I will be happy if you can tell me who your God is.

First satan has no spirit. satan can only try to convince a spirit to become evil. Thus the origin of an evil spirit. However, the Holy Spirit is far superior to anything satan can do since satan is confined to this world. Now it is up to man with the Holy Spirit within him to go to battle each day and allow Heaven to be the influence and not the world to influence the person's Life. But even then, once the person is free from the world, each person will finally see clearly and hear correctly the Word of God and then a person can finally see Christ for who He is, the forgiver of those who would do Him any harm.

What might be helpful here is remembering that before anything, you are on a stage before the almighty. Just remember who it is that you accuse. We know when things become profane. Imagine saying these complaints we have about each other in front of their Father. Would you call them a liar then? Mindless?

Who plead your case before God? Did he not say, "please Father, forgive them"?

We all get angry, but I've learned that when I can't add to the glory of God, I don't take away from it either. I am silent.

Just sayin

I see that look in the green one's eye as you do...that is the look of confidence, I ask you about that man facing away...the one with two fingers hanging from his mouth. I say who is diagnosing your perception the green one.

Flesh cannot exist in Heaven. Satan is not flesh, he never was, never will be. Satan was created full pattern, God left nothing out. He was not created evil, he became that way. Satan is confined in Heaven until the Archangel Michael casts him out. Satan then comes to earth as anti-Christ. While satan is a supernatural being, (supernatural in the sense that it is in the most natural state of existence and that remains unchanged), he is, of course, not as powerful as our Father. But while we are in these flesh bodies, Satan does not have any difficulty in deception.

Where is it written he is confined in heaven? In Job it reads that he walks to and fro on the earth and has access to heaven. Also, he is the prince of this world, and his chains are "reserved", not that he is chained at present. This is my understanding. Oh, and that he deceives the whole world.

What do you know about it? I am sincerely wanting to know more. also, I am seeing how deep his deception goes, and it is startling. Many are deceived, I do not want to be deceived!

Deception lies in the heart of man. Get it Lies in the heart! It is deep and this is a great post. Lies in the heart proceed out of the mouth and into the ears affecting and infecting and having a effect on all who are vulnerable.

Satan did go back and forth from Heaven and Earth, that is true. We see this when he was in the Garden, in Job and later when he tempted Christ. It is at that time I believe, that Christ sent him back and it is Michael who restrains him. Which is why Satan has great wrath when he is cast out, for he knows he has but a short time. If Satan was on earth the whole time, 1, He would not have that short time, but rather lots of time. 2, If Satan was confined to the earth, how is it then that he is cast out of Heaven, if he was not there to begin with? Yes, Satan deceives the whole world now through his children and later in person disguised as Christ. We also know that Satan will confined in a pit. This paints a picture of a supernatural being who cannot get out of a hole in the ground. This has to be symbolic. We are not told what or where the "pit" is, nor how it restrains Satan.

I've been wanting to write you about it because I see that you are very concerned. I appreciate how you have brought this subject to light.
