I There are some things that I don't understand about Christianity..I am having some trouble believeing that God is really with me in my time of need...Can anyone help me understand that God will be there for me?...I am trying to be a person who spread the Gospel and reaches out to others...When I ask God for help..it just seems like I am alone in everything..
I begin to wonder:
Is God really there for me?...
Even though I praise God for what I have..He seems not to answer my prayers...
Thanks for the help

Sometimes God's answer to our prayers are no, or not yet. Ask your partition and then say "God, your will be done."

Psalms 139:1-18 NASB

O Lord, You have searched me and known me.
You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
You understand my thought from afar.
You scrutinize my path and my lying down,
And are intimately acquainted with all my ways.

Even before there is a word on my tongue,
Behold, O Lord, You know it all.
You have enclosed me behind and before,
And laid Your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
It is too high, I cannot attain to it.

Where can I go from Your Spirit?
Or where can I flee from Your presence?
If I ascend to heaven, You are there;
If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there.
If I take the wings of the dawn,
If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea,
Even there Your hand will lead me,
And Your right hand will lay hold of me.

If I say, "Surely the darkness will overwhelm me,
And the light around me will be night,"
Even the darkness is not dark to You,
And the night is as bright as the day.
Darkness and light are alike to You.

For You formed my inward parts;
You wove me in my mother's womb.
I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works,
And my soul knows it very well.

My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth;
Your eyes have seen my unformed substance;
And in Your book were all written
The days that were ordained for me,
When as yet there was not one of them.

How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!
If I should count them, they would outnumber the sand.
When I awake, I am still with You.

Hi, Tiny. :) One thing I want to mention, which may or may not apply to you, is this: Don't get so caught up looking for God to work in a huge, obvious way, that you miss what He has done in smaller ways. The bible says that every good and perfect thing comes from God, and so if you focus more on the little good things, the smaller victories that have helped you when you were down, then you will see how God has worked in your life.

I know you have said that you praise God for what you do have, and that's awesome! Sometimes if it seems like He's not helping us, we find that we really do have absolutely everything we need. Maybe not everything we want, but everything we need. :)

"And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." ~ Jesus

God answers our prayers in ways we cannot imagine. His goal is to shape our character, not that he is our magic genie in the sky. I have had God say NO to many prayers, but he has opened amazing doors to transformation with the no!

God never promised us a perfect life, just that he would never leave or forsake us. God's ways are not our ways.

Consider yourself blessed that God has not answered your prayers. It means he loves you and wants the best for you, not just three wishes granted, and then it is over. Throw the genie away.

Praying you will come to understand the greatness of God, and that he does love us with an everlasting love.

Are you well versed with the Holy Bible?
The reason I asked this is because you are only 13. I applaud your desire to witness and reach out, but if you are not well versed with God's word, then you maybe trying to witness and reach out on your power. Jesus quoted Scripture, and was able to defeat the arrows of the devil. If you don't put on the full armor of God and depend on God to give the right words through the Holy Spirit then perhaps you are not ready yet.

Ephesians 6
The Whole Armor of God

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age,[c] against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, (the Bible) having put on the breastplate of righteousness,(how's your Christian walk, is it Christ like? Are you in Christ?) 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; (have you studied yourself approved to God? 2 Timothy 2:15) 16 above all, taking the shield of faith (do you have complete faith that He will finish what He has started in you? and that in your weakness He is made strong) with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; (His Word, the bible and the Spirit, the knowledge of salvation through Christ, the Gospel) 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—19 and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

2 Timothy 2:15

New King James Version (NKJV)

15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Just trying to help, I don't personally know you so if you feel none of this applies then just keep searching.

After I changed my third poopy diaper that day, I turned to my husband and said, “I’ll always change diapers. I will never NOT change diapers.” Our oldest son David has a disability and will likely be diapered his entire life. At the end of a long day, I felt defeated. I felt done. I felt empty.
Then my husband asked me, “What if changing diapers is the most important thing you do all day?”
“What do you mean?” I asked. How could changing a diaper be important? I create jewelry, I write a blog, I speak at conferences. How could something so menial and mundane, like changing a diaper, make even the smallest difference?
My husband explained, “Think of heaven. David’s body will be whole. He won’t have a disability. And imagine him saying,
‘Thank you, Mom. You gave me dignity when I couldn’t care for myself.”

It was such a small, simple statement. But it completely changed my perspective. It matters. Changing a diaper matters. All the little things we do, day after day, matter. Serving with love matters. And God will use it. As you tie shoes, wipe up spills, prepare dinner, and pick popcorn kernels out of couch cushions, remember that it matters. You matter.

God created us to love Him, that is the whole reason for our creation. Jesus gave us two commandments love the Lord God with all your heart, mind, and spirit, and love your neighbor. If we love God and truly go after his heart, like king David, sing him a new song every day, doors will start to open everywhere. The beginning of everything is loving God.
