I was praying this very prayer a while back, wondering why are we even here, why does God even deal with the mess that goes on every day. God answered me and told me the meaning of life. Before God created everything that we know he was still God on his throne. With the blink of an eye he could create a thousand angels to sing praises to him, and he did. Everything that he desired was at his grasp. Everything but one thing. God created us in his own image and after hi own likeness so just like us God desired to be Loved. You see out of everything, love is the one thing that God couldnt make, because making someone love you is not really love, not true love anyway, not the love God desired. So God made man, he made man with total free will so that they had the choice to love him or not. See its the fact that you have to truly choose to love God, that was and still is his desire. Sin separated us from God and God loved us so much and desired to be loved back by us that he gave his Son as the perfect sacrifice for all sin, the sin that seperated us from God. Sin was the reason that it took blood to cover it.

Nice post. :) And He loves you that you can be a sort of first fruits among all His creation.

Life is about God. We are here because God loves us and wants us to join Him in heaven.

We are like a little girl a father takes care of, raises, cares for, buys everything, gives her toys, teaches her songs goes on walks treats in sickness
and then when she turns 16 she elopes with an abusive pimp and gets beaten every night and gets forced to do tricks with perverts.

that is what we are like.

He did? Just like that?
many years ago as a teenager I was having difficulty finding a job. I went into a vacant room and I dropped to my knees facing a wall. I prayed to God- "Lord I love you, thank you for being with me. I need a job and I don't know what to do. Tell me what to do Lord." I waited patiently and then I added with a smile "I'll wait here as long as it takes." Then a thought jumped into my mind. It said "help the Yoders." now that's an interesting thing. I had known for a while now that my neighbors bought the 10 acres next to us and had been doing stuff out there. I even knew their names but I had never met them and had no reason for the thought. I smiled and said. " okay, tomorrow." It was already getting late. I walked out of the room and down the hallway and I yelled to my mother. "tomorrow after home depot remind me to help the Yoders." She looked amused and said "okay." The next day after Home Depot we returned and I saw two men with shovels in the next door driveway. I grabbed gloves and a shovel and I walked over. The mans bright blue eyes shown with amusement as I approached and I just began digging with them. Turns out he is a menonnite pastor. About an hour into it a black Grand Prix shows up. A blonde in his twenties approached us and also looked amused that I was there digging. His father said I was a hard worker and the younger man said "I can see that. I was just about to put an ad in the paper, but I need a construction assistant if you're interested 10$ an hour, cash weekly and you can start tomorrow. I accepted the job and worked with him for a long time. I learned a lot. Sorry for the long response but in short. Yes He can answer... Just like that..

By the sounds of the OP, we don't need a bible. He tells us everything in prayer. Is that your experience?

I didn't catch the part where we don't need a bible. I've had different experiences. The bible is the unerring Word of God. Any mistakes are man-made through translational (and sadly sometimes transcriptional) errs. However the bible makes it clear that God can communicate with us in other means- like a direct response to a prayer. I've had that experience and I was not holding a bible at the time.

Praise God!

I have had those experiences too where God speaks to us directly about something pertaining to our lives. Thank you Jesus so much for the gift of the Holy Spirit!

Amen to that, this should be normal amongst the saints.
