“Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?” - Epicurus, 341-270 BCE

If God rid the world of evil, you wouldn't exist and neither would humanity.

All answered in the Crucifixion of His Son...which of course occurred in history after Epicurus.

By the title of this thread - Why is it that you hate God? Is it because He gave humans free will and we messed up by sinning? Have you been unjustly treated by someone - Christian or not? You hate seeing what is going on in the world?

I am sorry you feel this way and even though you do God loves you anyway and if there is anything I can help you with please personal message me and maybe we can chat it out. Welcome to CC.

If your "god" got rid of evil the world would be flawless

God does restrain evil at some extent, otherwise the world would be a much much worser place. We have the ability to choose right and wrong, those decisions have consequences. If man was as you would say, 'programmed", then we would have no choice making. But since we make decisions, everyone abused it in disobedience and the world became corrupt. God will one day wipe out both sin and death in the future, and us the righteous (in Christ) will one day be with Him eternally in His glorious kingdom filled with righteousness.

I don't hate god I hate people using god as an explanation to something they can't explains/ don't know the scientific answer too.

Man is not programmed. We all have free will but not by the grace of a "god"

So you are suggesting, everything in existence is held together 'magically'? What a weak conclusion! Wouldn't you say so?

Evolution doesn't offer free will either as every thing is caused by physical reactions and chemical processes including your thoughts

Odio, give us a fair playing field and tell us your basic belief of existence.

If you bothered to read the first three chapters of Genesis, you wouldn't have to ask this question.

I used to think, If God love me why I am poor. My childhood in the poor country as a poor family I used to think that rich mean happy. With my limitation I analyzed my circumstance and conclude that God doesn't love me.

Now I know that it is not the case. Let say Mr x is rise from the rich family in the rich country like america. All his life he never worry about how to have money for food or nice clothing. His social status as rich people cause him feels doesn't need God,eventually cause him go to hell and suffer forever.

So my conclusion as being rich is a blessing and prove that God love him, was wrong. being rich can be a cursing.

In the same manner, Brother Odiodues logical deduction is base on the limitation of human knowledge. A lot of factor we don't know.

An ant standing in front of the 10 cubic feed cube.

Then you asked the ants what is standing in front of you.

He would say that it is the walls

Because ants are too small to see 10 cubic cube in three dimensions.

Brother, compare to the Lord, we are smallest than ant, not to fast to make conclusion with our limitation.

Make sure you blame everything in your life on him, most people do. Make sure you take no responsibility for yourself.
Make sure you have never took time out to know or search for him like his word say's, just do it your way and it will stay the same. Mabe you should look at your self and say gee i am tired of doing it my way, Lord i surrender, can't do it on my own.
Lord take the wheel. But that would be too hard i spose. Glad JESUS did not listen to everybody else.

this is the creation AFTER the curse brought on by sin. Find yourself on the right side of this situation and the new world WILL be flawless.
