A man by the name of Ted Roberts who has a PhD in psychiatry compared the brains of a meth addict, a porn addict and a normal person. He found that the tops of the brain of the addicts look like a mouse has eaten the tops of their brains. I suspect that most if not all sinful behavior has the same effect to varying degrees on the brain. The good news that in 3 short years of "putting on the mind of Christ" the addicts brains were virtually repaired.

Gods word knew so many things such as this before the science was available and as I type this I worship Him for he is all powerful, all knowing and He is ALIVE.

The faith based programs for recovery are the most successful. I'm pretty skeptical about AA because many addicts don't truly surrender to Jesus Christ - as he is the only answer to our problems.

It has also been recently discovered that a person can literally, thru the study and application of Gods word, change their DNA in regards to generational sin before having children. God is the true DNA manipulator.....from death to life.

I Heard not long ago from a guy at church that this neurologist had discovered that when a mind thinks about sinful things it releases toxins from the brain or something. .ive been meaning to look it up...good thread.
