wow, powerful! i thought it was a blog well worth reading.

my favorite passage?

I honestly do not think our greatest call from God is found on Pinterest, or in decorating our homes. Those things are fine, there is nothing wrong with a cute home.

But remember, Jael isn’t remembered for how pretty her tent was . . . but for the fact that she refused to let evil sleep in it.

thanks for sharing!

Wow monica. Wow. That was well said. I never thought of it that way: "But remember, Jael isn't remembered for how pretty her tent was...but for the fact that she refused to let evil sleep in it."

You are so right. If it were not for the strong women in my life, I would have never known Christ. Today, one of the most difficult tasks of most churches is to find Christian men to fill the leadership positions. I am encouraged because for the first time in almost 20 years, I see young couples bring their children to church, volunteering to participate in the ministries of the church, and most of all taking the Gospel of Christ into their communities. And the numbers are growing. Back to your point, only a couple of years age, it was a mother and the children, or the children on the bus. Yes, we need to encourage our young women to be strong and faithful. And, yes, we do need to hear pastors address this much more often.

I take that back Monicat. I just realized it was Misty who said it. I didn't know her link was clickable, but when I did click it, it helped me see a passage that I've read several times more clearly. You're a proflic writer, Misty. I love your sentence structure and cadence, especially when you said it this way:

1 and 4.
In the church too.
In homes we love.
Kids we know.
living in fear.
Are we willing to stand up for our people?

You definitely live up to Proverbs, and I'm not talking about the cliche Proverbs 31, but this one instead: NKJV | ‎Pr 27:17 As iron sharpens iron, So a man [or woman] sharpens the countenance of his [her] friend. I felt challenged, inspired, and improved. You definitely aren't a woman who usurps authority but calls men to task to use their authority to fight the spiritual war, just as Deborah called Berak to task.

I especially liked the way you said, "Are we willing to stand up for our people?" It isn't just men standing up, it's men and women standing strong together.

There's so much to say about what you said, but overall, it was well written and totally inspired, and again, I was inspired. :)

Thank You.

My wife prayed me into the Kingdom of God, If weren't for constant praying, Id probably be dead from alcohol by now. She held on to God's word and stuck by me through the most difficult of times. When she vowed for better or worse, she meant what she said.

Now, I often find in churches, that the women are more godly than the men. It's usually the women that are praising god and teaching Sunday school. The churches that have prayer on Friday or Saturday, the women out number the men.

Just a great article! Since women comprise over 52% of the Christian church, in North America, anyway, God needs ALL of us to do the work he has called the church to do.

With women sitting on the back benches, being suppressed or lightly dismissed, the message of the gospel will never ring out to the lost in so many nations that have never heard it.

Of course, there is so much work to do here, as the article mentions, and women can be in the forefront in the church and society, in leading the fight against so much injustice.

Brilliant article, thanks for posting!
