John.2

[16] Jesus said to the Jews who sold doves:
Take these things hence.
Do not make my Father's house,
a house of merchandise (a market).
[
17] and his disciples (Apostles) remembered that it was written:

The zeal of your house has eaten me up.
[
18] Then the Jews said to him: (their God who came as Christ)

What sign do you show us,
seeing that you do these things (like cleansing the Temple?)
[
19] Jesus said to them:

Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
[
20] Then the Jews said,:

Forty- six years his temple was in building,
and will you rear it up in three days?
+++
+++
+++
Why didn’t Jesus tell them?
+++
[21] But he spoke about the Temple of his body.
+++
+++
[
22] When Jesus rose from the dead, (a FEW YEARS LATER),

his disciples (Apostles) remembered what he had said this to the Jews;
and they (strongly) believed the Scripture, (of the Prophets)
and (confidentlybelieved) the Word (from GOD), that Jesus had said.

Jesus spoke enigmatically about many things because he had not yet gone to the cross
and they would not be able to understand an explanation otherwise.

The prophets spoke of the messiah,the people wanted to relate to GOD in a carnal way and GOD is a SPIRIT and must be worshipped in spirit and in truth.

It takes faith to please GOD.
they knew JESUS was the messiah and he told them also.

Matthew 13:13 Therefore I speak to them in parables; because while seeing they do not see, and while hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.

John 12:40
“He has blinded their eyes and He hardened their heart, so that they would not see with their eyes and perceive with their heart, and be converted and I heal them.”

Romans 11:11-12
[SUP]11 [/SUP]I say then, they did not stumble so as to fall, did they? May it never be! But by their transgression salvation has come to the Gentiles, to make them jealous. [SUP]12 [/SUP]Now if their transgression is riches for the world and their failure is riches for the Gentiles, how much more will their fulfillment be!

Much like Pharaoh, God hardened Judah's hearts (blinded their eyes, deafened their ears) so that grace would be extended to the Gentiles. Jesus spoke the truth, but did not explain it. God intended the Jews to become angry enough to kill Jesus on the cross, but only when He was ready.

Do you reckon that He did not wish to cast pearls before swine? I'm not convinced that the issue was telling the Jews, but those Jews who sold doves in the court of the gentiles.

Yes after their rejection in Mt. 12 he began teaching the crowds in parables and not plainly as He did as on the Sermon on the Mount.

In other words they were already condemned with no chance of forgiveness.

I am inclined to accept that.
GOD had pre-decided the destiny of each Jew.
It is good that Christ is good like his Father...

Godspeed,

On a national level that generation was but not on a personal level as even Saul/Paul a leader later was converted.

Hi questioner 1
I will just say it takes faith to please GOD and a person can't approach GOD in the flesh.

Thank you much brother.
There is OBEDIENCE also.

John.7
[16] Jesus answered them, and said,
My doctrine is not mine, but GOD's who has sent me.
[17] If any man will do (OBEY) GOD's will,
then he shall know about the doctrine,
whether it is from GOD,
or whether I speak from myself.

Keep well,,,

Grace to you and yours...

When I read your thread what speaks to me is that flesh and spirit can not dwell in the same body, that because of their known unbelief of who He was or the denial thereof... there would be no point in telling them. God never intended for us to debate with one another about who He is...but to believe in the birth(implantation of the spirit of God, fruit of the Spirit), life (teachings, judgement and persecution), death (crucifixion, death of sins, victory over death, and all illnesses), burial (preparation), and resurrection (keys to the kingdom). To believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and to share that Gospel(be living epistles). Even those that only believe in the old testament should know that God is who He is.. (I Am, that I Am) He need not explain Himself. He is God and God alone. He is the Living Word.

In my short years I have learned that the haughty spirit of pride condemns ALL who posses it. It is the devils best minion! So in conclusion to my thoughts....This is not written, but it is my belief that at the moment, Jesus prayed for the souls of those that were condemning Him. Jesus needed not to prove whom He was as God the father shall (and did) do that. We question the unspoken because we are yet still flesh. We dig deep because we think it's deeper than what it is when the answer is written on the surface... "In the beginning was the Word, and Word was WITH God, and the Word IS God."

I'm so sorry. The context in which i was using the word flesh is not physical flesh but flesh of your mind. Flesh = thoughts, dreams, reasonings, solutions, or anything else that is conjured up by ourselves. Our temple is our temple and no we do not receive a new one. What we have is what we are given.

I don't know how much help I was but you are welcome. I pray you find the answer you were looking for. Meditation (Clear mind with no thoughts or pretenses on anything) always works for me. Have an awesomely blessed day.
