Matt 13:23

23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

I find this post necessary because of the abuse of scripture that the false teachers are so guilty of. Now the Hearing that involves Salvation, or some may say, Saving Faith, it cannot be hearing of the natural man, since he lacks that ability, the reason being is that such hearing involves understanding as a condition, and such a one the natural man does not have. The word in our text "heareth the word, and understandeth its the greek word syniēmi and means:

I.to set or bring together,A.to set or join together in the mind

is used metaphorically of "perceiving, understanding, uniting" (sun), so to speak, the perception with what is perceived

put together, i.e. join facts (ideas) into a comprehensive (inter-locking) whole; synthesize.

Accordingly, 4920 (syníēmi) is closely connected with discerning and doing "the preferred-will of God" (2307 /thélēma).

to put (as it were) the perception with the thing perceived; to set or join together in the mind, i. e. to understand

Its also the very same exact word used here by the inspired Apostle Rom 3:11

11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

That means none hears God ! Rom 3:11 is describing all mankind in the flesh, naturally, without being born again.

Thats why Jesus says in Jn 8:43,47

43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.

Again Hearing and Understanding adjoined

47 He that is of God heareth[with understanding] God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

So whenever scripture speaks of hearing or is illustrating hearing in the realm of salvation, the one hearing is born of God, or they could not be able to Hear and Understand to bring forth the fruit of Faith as Per Matt 13:23, or it would contradict Rom 3:11 and Jn 8:43,47 !

Hence if we believe or teach that the natural man, not born of God, heard and believed the Gospel to the saving of the soul, such believe and lie against the Truth, its as simple as that !

It looks like you believe that no one can hear the gospel and be saved unless God gives then the understanding and the faith to be saved.
If that's the case, What about all those who don't get saved, Are you saying it's because God didn't give them the understanding and the faith?.

If that is what you believe, Then you believe God is a respecter of people, And that makes Him a sinner with evil thoughts.
The Bible says God isn't a respecter of people, at least nine times.

Anyone and everyone has the God given capacity to hear, understand, believe and accept the gospel message.
We all have a free choice to either accept it or reject it.

You quote scriptures, then our your own thoughts to them.
That's bordering in a false teacher.

Also you believe that God is a respcter of people with evil thoughts.
And that is false teaching.

[h=2]The God of Plotinus is the God of Calvinism, who needs the Bible anyway?[/h]To render the world of Ideas more acceptable to Christians, the Patristic Platonists from Justin Martyr to St. Augustine maintained that the world exists in the mind of God[1] The Catholic Encyclopedia

Most evangelical theologians work in the general Augustine tradition of Christian thought: the fourth- and fifth-century North African bishop and church father Augustine provides the general framework for their life and worldview insofar as that builds on and goes beyond what is explicitly state in Scripture. Augustine was influenced by the Neoplatonic tradition of Greek philosophy…[2] The Westminster Handbook to Evangelical Theology

As seen above, Catholics and Protestants agree Augustine was a Platonist who had a major influence of the theological traditions of Western Christianity.

You believe God is a sinner with evil thoughts.
Remember, you will stand before God one day, and He will ask you why you called Him a sinner with evil thoughts.

We know that the natural man cannot believe the Gospel, for being darkness itself Eph 5:8 he is not compatible to the Light, for the Gospel is Light as Per 2 Cor 4:4

4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Paul here calls it "the light of the glorious gospel of Christ"

And Jesus tells us that men by nature this Jn 3:19-20

19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

And thats all men by nature, we by nature doeth evil Gen 6:5

And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

Gen 8:21

And the Lord smelled a sweet savour; and the Lord said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.

Ecc 9:3

This is an evil among all things that are done under the sun, that there is one event unto all: yea, also the heart of the sons of men is full of evil, and madness is in their heart while they live, and after that they go to the dead.

All of us by nature doeth evil Rom 3:10-12 and so all of us by nature hate the Light of the Glorious Gospel !
