(Col 3:11 KJV) Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

(Col 3:12 KJV) Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge,” says the Eternal, in Hosea 4:6.

For Satan is now the "god of this age" (2 Corinthians 4:4)
For this purpose the Son of God was manifested,
that he might destroy the works of the devil.(1 john 3:8)
Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well:
the devils also believe, and tremble.(James 2:19)

Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture
is of any private interpretation.(2 peter 1:20)
for “Surely the Lord will do nothing, but he revealeth
his secret unto his servants the prophets”: Amos 3:7
and As he spake by the mouth of his Holy prophets,
which have been since the world began (luke 1:70)

[A]nd none of the wicked shall understand;
but the wise shall understand”(Daniel 12:10).

“The fear of the[Eternal] is the beginning of wisdom: a good
understanding have all they that do his commandments (Psalm 111:10).

Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that
keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.(Revelation 14:12)

And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are
closed up and sealed till the time of the end.(daniel 12:9)
shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end:
many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.(daniel 12:4)
supersonic jets and space travel, internet , vast knowledge of man
daniel is unlocked so we can understand his prophecy and words

The elect are Christians who accept that the death of Jesus Christ has abolished the law absolutely. Therefore there is nothing in nature that is forbidden for man to use/do because the law which forbids them is gone. It was the law(I tell you a mystery: the law was originally the tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil) that defined uncleanliness/sin in things that God himself created and declared Good for man to use.

The Elects are Christians who hold on to the gospel of NO SIN. You are not a sinner by disregarding the law, rather you are a sinner by subjecting yourself to the law, because the power of sin is the law. So, a christian(elect) CANNOT SIN, as long as he keeps faith with this doctrine, no matter what he does. Nothing can take away his righteousness: not food, drink, music, tattoos, clothes, sex, etc. Absolutely nothing, because he has the same spirit/mindset and liberty as God the Most High.

For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders,
to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed,
rightly dividing the word of truth

Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth;
I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.

But there were false prophets
lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
having a form of godliness but denying its power (2 Timothy 3:1-5).

For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before
of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men,
turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, (lawlessness)

My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments are righteousness.

And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet,
and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds,
from one end of heaven to the other.

What Bible are you reading? That's not in my copies or any others I've seen. Sounds to me like something you made up or have been taught. Either way, it's false teachings.

You mean you don't have the letters of Paul in your bibles? :D:D, Cause it appears that's all Paul ever talks about: Liberty from the law and walking in grace. That we have infinite right to go as we please as long as it is according to the doctrine that abolished the law, and as we continue to renew our minds from that of the law to that of grace, then the passions/negative emotions that the law built-up in us will be removed as a result of the new mindset of the spirit(of liberty).

What parts of my assertions do you say are false??

The elect (from the base "electric" - Strong's # P3819) are those that offer no resistance and are inducted with a high capacitance for the truth.

How does this sound, okeyxyz:

"I find myself doing exactly what I want to do, but that is also exactly what the Lord wants me to do." I can't think of a happier state.

(Acts 7:51 KJV) Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.

Like I said resistance is futile..

Ah yes, Ye Olde Hanging Chad. What a farce; what a chapter in American History. Someone should make a comedy movie of it, if they haven't. Call it "Chad." I could see this fictionalized version in which the President of the Senate (AlGore) addresses the senate at the time when the solemn electoral votes are presented:

AlGore: "Gentlemen; I have received 2 sets of electoral votes from Florida. Having studied the claims for each, I am accepting this envelope, and not the other. Here are the electoral votes from Florida, all for Al Gore." Is there a challenge to the rule of the chair?

Republicans issue a challenge.

The lame duck House that acts on this is democrat majority, and guess how they vote? They vote to sustain the chair!

For some reason he lacked the guts, or so it seems to me.

pardon me for digressing from this thread.

I guess I haven't joined in on this one because I figure it will be a futile subject to argue about.

With no hope of finding a consensus here on the Bible doctrine of election (which is truly in the Bible), I direct those interested into reading Ephesians 1 to know who are the elect.

I must say I don't think that could have been stated any better. Absolutely amazing explanation. I hope everyone appreciates your explanation as I did

That smells like strange incense, okeyxyz. I note that there are no Bible verses cited to prove anything. Indeed a Christian wants to have the same spirit/mindset and liberty as God the Most High, apart from divine prerogatives. But God's mindset does include commandments, aside from the Law of Moses, which ended at the cross.

Gal 5:

For ye, brethren, were called for freedom; only use not your freedom for an occasion to the flesh, but through love be servants one to another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.

But I say, Walk by the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are contrary the one to the other; that ye may not do the things that ye would. But if ye are led by the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these: fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousies, wraths, factions, divisions, parties, envyings, drunkenness, revellings, and such like; of which I forewarn you, even as I did forewarn you, that they who practise such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, meekness, self-control; against such there is no law. And they that are of Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with the passions and the lusts thereof.

If we live by the Spirit, by the Spirit let us also walk. Let us not become vainglorious, provoking one another, envying one another.

The question of election is not something that everybody/majority in today's christianity will agree with. In fact very few will find it, because this is a wisdom that, though very obvious/simple, is very hidden from the majority. The elect are exempt from the law while other rest of the majority and rest of humanity are still subject to it.

One illustration used is this:

There is this doorway called salvation (wicker gate?).

On the outside of the door it says, "Whosoever will."
But after the sinner walks through the door and is transformed, he looks back at the inside of the door where it is posted: "You have been elected and are part of the Elect.
