Marijuana?

Alright, I realize that this topic is very controversial. I would like to know everyone's opinions on if marijuana is good verses bad. Now I am not promoting marijuana in anyway, I am just wondering about opinions. Now I am already prepared that people will pop out verses talking about how we are not supposed to to harm the templ of God, so I would like to make a comment in the future on that. Marijuana has actually been proven that in small amounts not taken often is not bad for your health, and is infact no worse than small amount of alcohol EX. a glass of wine. I understand that smoking marijuana can turn into a habit, and in this way is bad for you. So I also understand this side of the fight, but keep in mind that there are lots of things that are legal that are bad for you when they turn into a habit. So, I would like to know what everyone on CC think of Marijuana. Remember to keep this civilised, and I am sure that I will see lots of people against it. God Bless you guys.

I would say, "Do not smoke marijuana." When I was college age, I did and messed my life up very, very, badly.

I vote bad. Family members and the men I have worked with show that there is no good non-medicinal use. Also, A son of one of my best friend is slowly sinking his life with pot.

my sf is taking marijuana... as in everynight... and he thinks its ok and want it to be legalized.. but i don't think it is good, the fact that it is illegal.

i think it's wrong if it's an addiction, and something about it making us in a different state of mind seems wrong.. but i did it in high school but not since being a christian. i would like to try it sometime, but i'm too scared of getting caught, haha. i'll just wait till it's legalized. but if i saw a christian smoking pot, i wouldn't be like, "hey.... um... yeah.. cut that out.."

I have seen alot of its abuse and feel for recriational use it is to much of a temptation.
But as a medicine, for many it has been helpful with much less dangerous side affects.

Everytime I've used marijuana it was to "forget" or take the edge off. It's horrible stuff. Had a bad, bad, bad trip in my rebel days and im sure it was laced with a hallucinogen. I'll tell you I never felt right, comfortable, or emotionally straight the next day i used it too. It's like the fear sinks in and lingers. As a Christian dont use it.

People always say marijuana is "natural" and God wouldn't have put it on the Earth if we weren't supposed to have it.

I'll say a few things with this: Every "drug" is originally natural. So are poisonous plants. We live on a fallen Earth, and not just man was corrupted by sin.

Overall, it is your choice, but to continue to do it if you know it is wrong is a sin.

Also, if you need background, I used to be a huge pothead in high school. Actually, I've experimented with a lot of different drugs. Either way, it does nothing but harm, but those that smoke it can't see that til they quit. It's up to you, but I wouldn't recommend trying to prove it is biblically acceptable on any level.

If alcohol truely is worse, either that should be banned or marijuana should be lagalized

and also: sugar is claimed to be more addictive than heroin and cokaine !!!! (and we all know the dangers og diabetes and obesity...)

One really does not need a scientist to tell us this....just look around and see the destruction that alcohol brings. Why don't they ban it?...it's a money thing!!
why is maryjane not legal in most countries?....government can't make money out of it!!
