I have a sister who prays to God every night. She even knows the Lord's prayer. But she told me she not only doesn't believe in the risen Jesus, she does not even believe there was an historical Jesus.

Now please tell me how Jesus is going to hear the prayers of someone who doesn't believe in his existence? It is form and ritual. And she is far from oppressed, she is a rich woman, living the rich life. I think her main prayer is that my mother would die sooner, rather than later, so she could have even more money.

As for me, God did answer my prayer when I was a unbeliever. I asked him to reveal himself to me, if he was real, and he did in an amazing way! I believed, repented and was baptized as a result of that first encounter, and I have been following Christ for 34 years.

So I guess this comes back to the question of what are you praying for? If you are praying to know Christ, I believe he will answer your prayer. If you are praying for riches or other ungodly things, probably not.

I know that when you ask Jesus Christ into your life He hears your prayers but does He hear any prayers made before that point and time. For example I have a friend that is not willing to give her life to Christ but prays to Him all the time are her prayers heard?
God hear every prayer, but it doesn't mean He grand every request.

Your friend pray to Him all the time, mean she believe Jesus has a power and ability to grand her request.

If God is omniscient, then he by definition hears everyone's prayers. If he didn't, he wouldn't be omniscient. So strictly speaking, the answer to the OP must be "Yes".

Of course, that's a different question to whether God responds favourably to their prayers. But then, he doesn't respond 'favourably' to the prayers of Christians all the time either. But then prayer at bottom isn't ultimately about asking God for stuff, anyway. Indeed, there are plenty of times in Scripture where people pray out of response to God's action, rather than to cause it.

Wow do we make God a lier or what? God hears the prayers of unbelievers, and of sinners and will only grant SOME prayers to the righteous... This is what you people teach, but this is what God teach...

John 9:31... Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.
Angela for me all sinners are unbelievers, even the ones that say they are believers are still sinners. And I know true believers are NO MORE SINNERS, THEY DO GOD'S WILL AND CANNOT SIN!

God hears only the prayers of the righteous and He says yes TO ALL THEIR PRAYERS ... YES! and NEVER NO!
Here is how John confirms it.... 1 john 3:22...And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
If you notice.... these people do things (all their things) that is pleasing in His sight, just ONE SIN will have them NOT DOING HIS WILL. None of GOd' commandments are... GO SIN!.. NONE!

Look what Jesus said.... John 14:13... And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. Joh 14:14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. Joh 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
Do you notice GOd says YES all the time so HE may be glorified in the SON? And the glorificaiton is CHRIST IN ALL HIS MEN.

Here is a challenge to all who reckon they have the Holy Spirit (Christ) in them.
Do you sin with Christ in you? How can sin glorify God? Whose command do you keep when you sin? The answer: satan!
What happens if you keep God's commandment? Ye lve Him anf He will love you and make His abide with you... Only THEN is Christ in you. When God made His abide in you. Then all prayers will be abswered that second with a YES! Like God teach.

Sinners? REPENT! God does not know you and you do not know Him. All who read this will be clled but only few will be chosen to be VESSELS for GOD unto HONOR and His Glory. Truth! His Truth!

Mat 22:14.. many are called few are chosen.... and this people on CC... Luke 13:24...
Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
Not one sinner will be able to enter, NOT ONE. only repented sinners will enter, those that repented from ALL sin. 100% pure s He is pure, those will enter. Not half washed or non washed, 100% pure or NO ENTER.... No one will sneak no sin into the gate. It is sinless on the other side, and only sinless will enter. As easy as that. AND THEIR PRAYERS ARE HEARD AND ANSWERED, ALWAYS WITH A YES! Only theirs.

it seems an unbeliever wouldn't be asking in faith, and when we pray we must believe. God is not like an ATM machine like some try to use Him as, not wanting any thing to do with Him until they need something. When we pray it shouldn't only us asking for something, but thanking Him as well, even when we don't get what we want. Father knows best for us and will always make sure we have what we need even if we don't ask. Praise God.
