[h=2]Further Benefits of Wisdom[/h]Proverbs 3:
1 My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, 2 for they will prolong your life many years and bring you prosperity. 3 Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. 4 Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. 5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. 7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil. 8 This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones. 9 Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; 10 then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine. 11 My son, do not despise the LORD's discipline and do not resent his rebuke, 12 because the LORD disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in. 13 Blessed is the man who finds wisdom, the man who gains understanding, 14 for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold. 15 She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. 16 Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. 17 Her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace. 18 She is a tree of life to those who embrace her; those who lay hold of her will be blessed. 19 By wisdom the LORD laid the earth's foundations, by understanding he set the heavens in place; 20 by his knowledge the deeps were divided, and the clouds let drop the dew. 21 My son, preserve sound judgment and discernment, do not let them out of your sight; 22 they will be life for you, an ornament to grace your neck. 23 Then you will go on your way in safety, and your foot will not stumble; 24 when you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet. 25 Have no fear of sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked, 26 for the LORD will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being snared. 27 Do not withhold good from those who deserve it, when it is in your power to act. 28 Do not say to your neighbor, "Come back later; I'll give it tomorrow"-- when you now have it with you. 29 Do not plot harm against your neighbor, who lives trustfully near you. 30 Do not accuse a man for no reason-- when he has done you no harm. 31 Do not envy a violent man or choose any of his ways, 32 for the LORD detests a perverse man but takes the upright into his confidence. 33 The LORD's curse is on the house of the wicked, but he blesses the home of the righteous. 34 He mocks proud mockers but gives grace to the humble. 35 The wise inherit honor, but fools he holds up to shame.

Galatians 5:19-21 ESV Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

aw, snap........it's not in there either.............sigh......back to studies.......

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 ESV
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away.

...uh, no, wait..........knowledge and wisdom aren't necessarily the same are they.............SIGH........

Find out here...

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Why is Wisdom of Solomon shown with the King James Bible?
[SUP]1[/SUP] Love righteousness, ye that be judges of the earth: think of the Lord with a good (heart,) and in simplicity of heart seek him.
[SUP]2[/SUP] For he will be found of them that tempt him not; and sheweth himself unto such as do not distrust him.
[SUP]3[/SUP] For froward thoughts separate from God: and his power, when it is tried, reproveth the unwise.
[SUP]4[/SUP] For into a malicious soul wisdom shall not enter; nor dwell in the body that is subject unto sin.
[SUP]5[/SUP] For the holy spirit of discipline will flee deceit, and remove from thoughts that are without understanding, and will not abide when unrighteousness cometh in.
[SUP]6[/SUP] For wisdom is a loving spirit; and will not acquit a blasphemer of his words: for God is witness of his reins, and a true beholder of his heart, and a hearer of his tongue.
[SUP]7[/SUP] For the Spirit of the Lord filleth the world: and that which containeth all things hath knowledge of the voice.
[SUP]8[/SUP] Therefore he that speaketh unrighteous things cannot be hid: neither shall vengeance, when it punisheth, pass by him.
[SUP]9[/SUP] For inquisition shall be made into the counsels of the ungodly: and the sound of his words shall come unto the Lord for the manifestation of his wicked deeds.
[SUP]10[/SUP] For the ear of jealousy heareth all things: and the noise of murmurings is not hid.
[SUP]11[/SUP] Therefore beware of murmuring, which is unprofitable; and refrain your tongue from backbiting: for there is no word so secret, that shall go for nought: and the mouth that belieth slayeth the soul.
[SUP]12[/SUP] Seek not death in the error of your life: and pull not upon yourselves destruction with the works of your hands.
[SUP]13[/SUP] For God made not death: neither hath he pleasure in the destruction of the living.
[SUP]14[/SUP] For he created all things, that they might have their being: and the generations of the world were healthful; and there is no poison of destruction in them, nor the kingdom of death upon the earth:
[SUP]15[/SUP] (For righteousness is immortal:)
[SUP]16[/SUP] But ungodly men with their works and words called it to them: for when they thought to have it their friend, they consumed to nought, and made a covenant with it, because they are worthy to take part with it.

OH.........................NO!

I may be back sliding here..............................eekkks!

1st Corinthians 1:18) For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
19 .) For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
20 .) Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
21 .) For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
22 .) For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
23 .) But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
24 .) But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
25 .) Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
26 .) For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
27 .) But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
28 .) And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
29 .) That no flesh should glory in his presence.
30 .) But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
31 .) That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

(I willingly become "foolish" so that His Wisdom may shine!)

That's because wisdom is the proper application of the knowledge that is found within the scriptures that you have quoted so far :)

Outstanding thread! Now this is edification, people that which was mentioned in this entire thread is wisdom. Wow, we all just by accident stepped right into the middle of it, neat we didn't even make a mess. Wonderful people, thanks for the blessing and I will rejoice in the small things, such as, this wisdom. The very essence of wisdom, this the Spirit is calling, be still and know that "He is God", just repeating Him.

If there is anything the Bible teaches us about God, it is that He is all-wise.
13 “With Him are wisdom and might; To Him belong counsel and understanding” (Job 12:13).
28 Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth does not become weary or tired. His understanding is inscrutable (Isaiah 40:28).
33 Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways! (Romans 11:33; see also Job 9:1-4; 36:5; Isaiah 31:1-2).

1st Corinthians 13:1) Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
2 .) And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
3 .) And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.............................

11) When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
12 .) For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
13 .) And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

Proverbs 3 is such a great chapter instructing the believer in the ways of wisdom. J-Kay don't you love verse 8, especially in terms when we are aging and leaving the prime of our life (naturally speaking)...

8 This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones.
