I feel that various 'moves of God' come around and are indeed manifested according to His will. Revivals, sighs and wonders etc..
The enemy is a reactionary .... He knows his future but does not have a spirit within him that can give him a word of knowledge or a prophecy regarding what God is doing wihina given body of believers. Once the 'move of God' begins than he gets a handle on what is going on and tries to attack it by his deceptive nature. There is no such things deception unless a lie is mixed with a truth. So that is one of his strategies....We are not to be ignorant of his devices.

Re: Word of Faith: "Metaphysical" "Gnostic" "Cultic" "Not really Christian"-Justin Pe

I agree with Rachel and Highwayman. There have been extremes in the WoF movement, but the criticism has also been dishonest and excessive. A good example is the guilt-by-association tactic. They try to establish E. W. Kenyon as the true father of the movement when in fact Kenneth Hagin never even met Kenyon or read any of his books until 1950. Kenyon wasn't Pentecostal, and Hagin was definitely Pentecostal and quoted Smith Wigglesworth as much as he quoted Kenyon. But they think they can prove that Kenyon took his theology from the metaphysical cults because he spent a year in a school that they claim taught that theology. Another tactic they use is quoting people out of context. Hagin's book "Having Faith in Your Faith" is a good example of that. Another thing they get wrong is lumping Benny Hinn in with WoF. Hinn renounced the WoF in 1993, but he gives them such good material to work with they can't let him go.

Word of faith, people, is works based. Just like all other religions. If you keep confessing this or that then you will get what you are confessing. Don't mention sin or even talk about it because that is a bad confession.

They take a little truth ( and is true that our tongue gets us in trouble) and go ten extra miles with it. The old timers call it name it and claim it. You had people going to car lots and laying hands on a Mercedes claiming it in Jesus name. It died out.

Then Kenneth Hagin revived it, twisted it a little and called it word of faith. BY His own words " we need to quit preaching the cross. we have too many cross preachers and that's why they mad all the time. because their cross. We need to get past the cross and rise up to seated at the right hand of the Father".

There is nothing but the cross and the only thing we can stand on. And the cross makes me happy.
Then Joseph Prince, who was a protege of Hagin, syncretized Free Grace (essentially grace without law) concepts and Word of Faith concepts and created name-it-claim-it salvation, ie., hyper grace.

I'm not really up on the history of it, but I remember Copeland from when we were both young, I think he had N.I.A.C.I. pre-Prince. I think hubby said there were the same ilk pre-Copeland too.

Ever heard the saying " chew the meat and spit out the bones"? I listen to everyone to a certain degree.. they all miss it and get it wrong.. I only say that bc the HS doesn't teach or reveal the same things at the same time or order.. but according to the person and call they have... I've known plenty things a preacher has said to be in error.. Makes them human.. Some do use the position and manipulate.. But I don't think a rally of "exposure" of this sort should be done.. people get in the flesh and judge servants who aren't theirs to judge.. Just don't listen to them anymore.. sowing discord is hated by God..

Of the Word of Faith Movement, Justin Peters calls it "metaphysical cults", "new age", "Christian Science", "Some Kabbalah", "gnostic","cultic","not really Christian", "The Secret is like Word of Faith doctrine".

This video is a condensed version of a three part series he does titled A Call For Discernment. I posted the full three part series below this post.

Joseph Prince teaches false grace message, but K Hagin never did.
K Hagin was a sound Bible Teacher, whereas Prince twists the scriptures and the Greek, he also takes scriptures out of context to build His false doctrines and every time the Bible proves him wrong, he says, "That's not for the Church ".

Kenneth Hagin was sent to teach on faith and on how to be led by the Spirit of God. His mandate from the Lord had nothing to do with grace. He never taught grace. I know because he taught at the bible school I went to and I have listened to hundreds of his teachings in the past.

Different people are sent by the Lord to teach on different aspects of the Lord.

Prince says his most prized possession is having a picture that hangs in his office of Kenneth Hagin laying hands on him and praying for him when he was in Singapore.

And Prince and K. Hagin Jr. are the best of friends and JP teaches at Rhema schools in Asia. JP is also a honorary graduate from K. Hagin Jr. of Rhema Bible training Center.

People that say some things that goes against your religious beliefs are called false teachers by you. Even if people wear clothes that you don't like are called names by you.

Re: Word of Faith: "Metaphysical" "Gnostic" "Cultic" "Not really Christian"-Justin Pe

it is possible for a person's demeanor to be calm but their rhetoric to still be extreme...

the 'mangled manifestations' session in particular is more or less an exercise in guilt by association...did he actually bother polling all 'word of faith' adherents to see how they viewed those things? and the whole shallow 'this is weird...it must be demons!' attitude is just as unjustified as any end time conspiracy theory that sees the 'new world order' lurking behind every geopolitical corner...
What? One must ask the members if their preachers are teaching falseness and give an OK before an outsider can reveal the error??? That's a completely ludicrous idea!

The evidence of false doctrine is within the video clips and thus able to be compared with Scripture. Only someone who does not know The Scriptures as written would not realize the errors in those video clip examples.

In discussing the topic and seeing two different views and where some people draw their terms and what they mean by them.

Listened to him many times.

Never heard anything wrong.

But I am also not a cessationist.so I don't walk up to snippets out of context with a .357 magnum cocked to Princes head hoping for any minute slip.

Pharisees hate every spirit baptized believer.

Their starting place is basically antichrist.

I am sure they think,as did Saul, they are instruments of God.

Have you ever seen them give specific examples?

K Hagin's Message was mainly faith and healing, But he also taught a balanced Biblical grace, Not like Joseph Prince, who teaches a false grace massage.
K Hagin was J Prince's mentor, But he fell into this end time deception false grace teachings.

J Prince would never teach at Rhema If Kenneth Hagin was still alive.

Prince goes against the Biblical teachings, And I believe the Bible, and like Hagin, I present a balanced Biblical grace.

Re: Word of Faith: "Metaphysical" "Gnostic" "Cultic" "Not really Christian"-Justin Pe

I detest the prosperity centered preaching.

Note; CENTERED.

PROSPERITY is from GOD.

To hate prosperity is to hate GODS motive and testimony.

Now,I am not afraid of blessing. God loves to bless.

The economy of heaven is abundance
The economy of the world is lack.

What are the sufferers going to do in heaven? Reject blessing? Change the economy?

Do they apply "no blessing at all" to their children? Make sure they never have increase? Always reject a raise or a ride home thinking God will only be happy in suffering? Are they the happiest when their own children suffer? Do they hope for captivity and torture for their own children? Are they repulsed at even the thought of their own children prospering in this world?

How can God despise his own bible?
How can any believer, look up the MYRIAD of verses on prosperity and then reject them, and misrepresent the testimony of God's word?

I have looked heavily into it. They have no broad brushed ground to make their accusations.

But lets just say someone is enjoying TOO MUCH prosperity.

REALLY?????

By what standard????

Who will judge?????

News flash. "let those who are without sin ( completely destitute, broke, ruined and in the ditch) cast the first stone)

Only one preacher in the world. Lester Roloff.

Roloff quotes;

" I will trade wallets with anyone in this church"
"I will trade bank accounts with anyone in this church"

If those preachers can say that......

All you and the man in those video's have proved, Is, You don't know the Bible.
Jesus was the first Word of faith man, And Paul was a WOF person, So you can see how ignorant that false cult man in the video is.

Prince. My post said prince.

I agree with 90% of Hagin. He did say some wrong things. But so did every preacher.

I don't reject watermelon or fish. I simply enjoy the meat and spit out the bones/seeds.

So liberating, knowing how to do that.
