...don't you let them. I recall years ago when me and my uncle Jerry were hitting different churches as itinerant evangelists down in Texas. My uncle had been saved for decades and (was still full of joy of the Holy Spirit. Imagine that). This sister in the Lord asked him 'did you just get saved recently?' My uncle replied 'why do you ask?' She answered 'well your so full of joy and the anointing'. He said ' I've been saved for decades.' I can see the deer in the headlights, can you? I have heard many times by saints that a newbie will be pampered for a while but then God will bring them to (boring, dry) soberness in Christ. Puke city!! It's the wayward church that will zap their relationship with Jesus. Count on it.

So what's up? I'll tell you. He hadn't been 'going to church' for years. God set him free from religion and the restraints of false doctrine and MO of the organized 'church'.

When I first fell in love with the Pearl of great price, I was ecstatic, blown away, forgiven and full of joy. For the first 6 months I was hitting the streets and leading souls right and left to Christ. And that without bible college and a degree in theology. Imagine that. My wife and I were doubling down on street ministry. Us and the Holy Spirit plus nobody else.

Then we finally yielded to everyone's 'sound wisdom' about 'going to church'. They said ' that's all very well what you are doing in Christ BUT (someone is always getting their BUT in the way), you need to find a 'church' somewhere and start going faithfully, and you really need to start paying your tithes to the 'pastor' like God commands.'

So we gave in. It didn't take long to realize that our joy was starting to subside along with our pocket book. What the Duce is going on? I thought that things were going to be even more blessed by doing these 2 things that most Christians swear is 'gospel'. By the way, God never told us to do these 2 things. We were already assembled with like faith believers...the 2 of us. Where 2 or 3 gathered .....how's that verse go?

I will not go into all the ugly details for the next 27 years but it was at the end of those dry hard years that God finally pulled us outta Babylon. Through much prayer and study of His word, we have finally been set free from Pharisee laden religion.

2 deliverances...one from worldly sin at salvation and one from religious bondage and falsehood. It took us 24 years to get delivered from the world and 27 years to get free from a false institution called 'church'.

God restored the anointing in our lives, His close fellowship and leading. We now fellowship with others of like faith in the Spirit. See:1Cor.12 and 14 and Romans 12 and Ephesians 4. Study Galatians. Law vs. Spirit. It's called a new covenant written not on tablets of stone but on the tablets of our hearts. Some say 10 percent belongs to God.....WRONG! 100 percent belongs to Him and you better learn His still small voice on distributing or your works of hay and stubble will burn up.

And they of the law (and the traditions of men that make void the word of God), persecuting they of the promise (the Spirit).

So I submit that the only real enemy of the cross of Christ, of the believers themselves is not radical Islam or liberalism or Hellywood, but it's what we gushingly call 'church'. It's out of order, full of dead men's bones, having a name saying it is alive yet it is dead. Forget the pulpit and start studying His word to 'see if these things be so' as the Bereans.

If what I have written has been something you have suspected, then praise His matchless Name, He's drawing you out longing to show you his full truth and freedom.
See: Home
They'll steal your heart if you let them....don't you let them. But forgive them.

Well as long as you are meeting with others, great. But I suppose someone one day will look at your meeting and charge, ''Organized Church! Babylon! :)

I think your major solution was finding like minded folks. Don't automatically categorize the "other churches" as stale, dead, cold, religious, lifeless, just because they aren't dependent on amped emotions 100% of the time.

You obviously believe in amped up emotions and all of that, so you needed to find others like you whom you could walk in agreement with.

There is a good aspect of folks of different theological angles in Christianity getting together. But there is also a negative aspect. The negative aspect is that eventually they're going to start discussing and trying to live out what they believe the Bible says. Obviously not everyone is going to agree. Some stick together for the sake of "unity", as they constantly clash with sharp elbows.

The disagreement ends up bringing everyone down, and then little work for God gets done. There comes a point where brothers/sisters in disagreement on things need to part ways and go get some work done for the kingdom, as each segment walks in unity and accomplishes something with those they agree with.

You clearly found a segment you agree with, and because of it some work for the kingdom is hopefully being done.

MARK 3:25.
And if a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.

JOHN 7:43.
So there was a division among the people because of HIM.

1CORINTHIANS 1:10.
Now I plead with you, brethren, by the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you,
but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

PHILIPPIANS 1:27.
Only let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come
and see or am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one Spirit,
with one mind striving together for the Faith of the Gospel.

PS. 133:1.
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity.

There is a difference between hyped emotions (think rock concert) and the spirit of God in control. If you never experienced His anointing I'm sorry for you.
No paid clergy. Both are not biblical. Neither salary or clergy.

Babylon speaks of bondage due to twisting scripture for fun and profit.

You've made it clear that you're not getting it. You must experience His power through true fellowship as opposed to dead services. He has departed the building. Truthforfree.com Awildernessvoice.com

I guess the Apostle Paul didn't get it either?
He said the workman is worthy of his hire referring to ministers of the Word. He also layed down a number of rules for Church structure and discipline....after all, we are sheep not roaming wolves.

You guessed wrong. The apostle Paul did get it. Apostles were worthy to receive food and shelter. He also got it, concerning the Diotrephes spirit of pride and self exaltation. He got it when he said wolves would rise up from among the ecclesia. And so they did. They have been in charge pretty much ever since. Yes you r wrong. Paul got it alright and warned with tears night and day that heresies would be embraced by the ecclesia even unto this very hour. Study your bible. Your missing something. Something that is as plain as the pimple on the end of your nose!

Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine. For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward.

Honor in this verse is time. It means respect, value, honor. The same Greek word is used in 1Tim. 1 ....count their own masters of all honor....respect. They didn't pay their master a salary or wages either.
The Greek word for wages, salary, money, or compensation is opsonion. Now if the subject was money, why wasn't this word used?

Further. These are talking about elders that teach. What if one elder teaches better than another elder? Does he still get double wages or does he get docked some. Would this not cause some angst and envy, not to mention strife? And would they have the rest of the folks vote on who taught and best? What if there are about 5 good teachers? Would not the folks grow broke and weary dealing out of their wallets all this cash for all these teachers?

It would be a caldron of catastrophe, would it not? Yes it would. That's why it's not about filthy lucre, it's about honor!

the ox is worthy of some grain. The one who teaches well is worthy of his reward.....honor, respect. Not mammon.

But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
(2Co 9:6-7)

A person can give whatever they want, and how much they want, they don't need others telling them not to give.
