I believe the holy spirit is the very power of God.

bible says mary was seeded by God with the holy spirit

and Jesus is called the son of God, only begotten by the father.

if holy spirit a thrid person, jesus would be the son of the holy spirit.

where is the holy spirits crown in the future world?

and every letter paul wrote he addresses God the father, and jesus the son

then this brothern. why does he not say hi to the holy spirit?

John 3:12 I have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things?

1 Corinthians 15:40 There are also heavenly bodies and there are earthly bodies; but the splendor of the heavenly bodies is one kind, and the splendor of the earthly bodies is another.

Lil sis. the Holy Spirit is God. Look the father is the wisdom of God and Jesus is the knowledge of God and the Holy Spirit is the hand of God. You can't have one without the other.

Thank you Kerry :), but The Holy Spirit isn't the power of God? Wouldn't that explain how Jesus was able to perform miracles, using God's own power (The Holy Spirit)?

Lil sis, Jesus in the flesh did not perform one miracle. He spoke it as He is the word of God and the Hand of God moved according to the word. The power of God is the preaching of the gospel, because when preached, the hearts of men are pricked and the Holy Spirit convicts and pulls them to the cross.

It is the Spirit of TRUTH. Remember God (Father) is Spirit. That which proceeds from Him is truth. The direct words of Christ are that Spirit of truth and life you seek, and His words are the divider of it.

Now what does that mean? There is only one truth right, how can you divide that!?

You compare all of what Jesus said and did to the rest of scripture. All that do not line up with His words and actions are to be cast out as dung and unprofitable!

You have read of an eye for an eye, but what did Jesus say to do? He said that all who came before Him were thieves and robbers, because if you are not gathering with Him you are scattering abroad.

Read at Jesus´s. Do not even pay attention to me:

Joh_10:37 If I am not doing the works of my Father, then do not believe me;

Joh_10:38 but if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me and I am in the Father."

Joh_14:1 "Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.

** (Do you see 3 persons above, in those two last verses)

Joh_14:10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own authority, but the Father who dwells in me does his works.

** (How many are they?)

Joh_14:11 Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me, or else believe on account of the works themselves.

Joh_17:20 "I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word,

Joh_17:21 that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.

God and the Lord Jesus bless you!

Understand that three are one. One doesn't do anything without the other. Jesus said if you have seen me then you have seen the Father. The Father is the wisdom, the Son is Knowledge, The Holy Spirit is action.

Look have the knowledge of the word and the wisdom to know what to do with it and not doing isn't very prudent.

Wisdom is God given. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom

Knowledge is attained. my people perish for the lack of knowledge.

Prudence is the act of wisdom and knowledge. It is not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit say's the Lord.

The Holy Spirit is a person of the divine Godhead. He is not part of the Father or the Son.

I think you need to look that over again. I meant how you be part of the Godhead and not part of the Father. It's like buying a double fat cheeseburger and a diet coke it makes no sense.

the holy spirit is one of the three persons of the trinity...he is not just a 'power' or anything like that...

here is a list of some scriptures that show the personhood of the holy spirit...
genesis 6:3...he contends with people
isaiah 63:10 and ephesians 4:30...he can be grieved
john 14:26...he teaches
acts 1:16 and many others...he speaks
acts 5:3...he can be lied to
acts 15:28...he makes decisions
acts 16:6...he can forbid
romans 8:16...he bears witness
romans 8:27...he has a mind and he intercedes
1 corinthians 2:11...he knows things
1 corinthians 12:11...he has a will
2 corinthians 13:14...he shares in fellowship
hebrews 10:29...he can be insulted

also notice all of the passages that refer to the holy spirit as a 'he' and not an 'it'

My last thought, on this solely: "One doesn't do anything without the other" I wish I knew what a psychologist might think about this... If I am a person, if I am an individual (made in the image of God) how come that would happen?...

I like to look at it this way, in which I was told by a preacher and in turn tell others.

Holy Trinity ( Father, Son, Holy Spirit )

Look at it this way: ice, water, steam....all made up of the same elements just different forms.

is The Holy Spirit God's very own Spirit? How is The Holy Spirit God?

Psychologist are just talkers and not real doctors they cannot prescribe medicine and have proliferated the church. They tell you it's yo moma's fault or yo daddy's fault but not your fault. Which is totally against the bible.

They are inseparable. The Father in Wisdom thought of man, the Word spoke it (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit performed it.

The father thinks it, The Son speaks it and the Holy Ghost does it. all by faith.

I agree on these:
"They tell you it's yo moma's fault or yo daddy's fault but not your fault. Which is totally against the bible.") The problem is sin (mine). Though I just left Jesus´teachings, no body´s else add-ons. And that´s what I believed and I respect yours.

I honor God, the Father (Who is Spirit: Joh 4:24 God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.") Joh 5:23 that all may honor the Son, just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.

Joh 6:44 No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day.

And is John´s is completely inspired, I only see 2 persons, not 3.

I´m not trinitarian any longer. Sorry for telling what I believe.

Yes the Holy Spirit is a person, He has all the attributes of a person. He can speak, and has feelings. But His role in the God head is the performer. The father thinks it, the Son speaks it, and the Holy Ghost does it. Amen
