The world is not in a good shape at the moment- we cant miss it, we are bonbarded with it.financial, governments, hunger, chaos.
I am not worried im excited as its gods plan of course me thinks.
The governments think that pumping millions of dollars will work-mmm band aid solutions dont last long and they never have
I belive that obama is the beggining of big stuff to happen(biblical stuff)-just look at the way the world is responding(can i say this)
As the church we need to be alert and ready then ever before as god is moving sooo fast and im sure he wants his children to be ready- so lets get ready
The world needs open eyes at this time- revelation comes to mind
Intersted in hearing what you peeps have to say

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

2. Tim 3:1-5

Hello 4given,

I believe we are in the last days. There are many signs that we are in these days.

Hi Forgiven,

It appears as if I am not the only one who has been thinking along these lines for the last few days huh? I was actually reading from 2 Timothy myself last night.

Anyways, I'll share with you a little something that I believe the Lord has put on my heart. Now there's no doubt in my mind that what I'm about to say is going to be very controversial but by no means am I saying this to start trouble however, my reason for stating this is that so if / when such events come to pass, it will not catch people by surprise.

First of all I will say that I believe things are about to get very tough here in America especially for us christians. I believe that the current Congress , in the guise of "religious equality" will be very hard on the church and eventually we will see laws changed / passed that will make it much harder for churches to stay open. One example would be the repealing of church tax exemptions / non-profit status for starters. It is also quite possible that we could pro-gay marriage laws passed nationally which could cause huge problem for churches who speak against such laws as well as refuse to marry gay couples thus we could see the government begin to heavily fine churches and / or begin to shut churches down. These are just a few examples.

I also believe that as economy continues to go sour that we are going to begin to see a lot of people coming to Christ. Seeing as health care costs will continue to rise as more and more people begin to lose their jobs thus losing health care insurance, alot of people are going to turn to the church looking for answers. Some will even come looking foir miracles.

Seeing as you have a lot churches who longer believe in miracles, we will see the divide between various belief systems grow deeper. As the need for a real move of God becomes wide spread... You will have churches who pridefully stick to various denominational doctrines, and you will have churches who humble themselves and seek God for a geniune manifestation of His presence in order to meet the needs of the people. God will answer those cries. Those churches who pridefully stick to their guns will begin to lose large numbers of members, all the while their leaders will continue to bash those who the Lord is using to manifest themselves. Essentially the "church" will begin to turn on itself, God's way of seperating the wheat from the chaff, and this turmoil will be method used by God to reveal the true "the Bride of Christ" in preparation for Christ's return.

These events could happen or they may not. I personally feel this is the road that we are headed. I also feel that right now, the church has a "personality disorder", and that God, seeing as He is not the author of confusion, will indeed coreect these problems before Christ returns for his bride.

Get ready folks... a huge storm is on the horizon!

re: tax exemptions.

churches should pay tax when they make a profit.
In fact churches shouldn't really make a profit yet many do.
It might force the churches with lots of money to do something useful with it.
Including the cults like Mormon church etc, something needs to be done about them.

re: gay marriage in churches.

I was under the impression that the US has laws that the church can marry or refuse to marry whoever it likes within its walls. The church should be protected?

As the law currently stands, churches are allowed non-profit status and are exempt from paying various taxes just as long as the church does not show support for a particular political candidate or group. If so, the church is then looked upon as a "Special Interest" group and can be taxed and fined accordingly. Basically the church has accepted a government bribe to keep her mouth shut for several decades which I believe is the reason why we have seen such a falling away from God in America over the last 40 years.

However, now that we have a President and Congress that heavily support issues like pro-abortion, pro-gay rights, pro-gay marriage, religious equality, etc the Church can no longer afford to keep quiet. The Church will be forced not only to speak but to become pro-active thus the government will most likely step in and begin busting heads.

I believe we are actually about to see a decline in organized churches and a significant rise in home churches. Things will be begin to look and feel like the days of the first century church...

I do believe that there will be productive churches that do survive this time... folks will swarm to these churches because of the manifest presence of God. We will see a return of a "common wealth" mentality among God's people where believers will gladly sell what little they do have to support this move of God and those in need...

We will also begin to see and hear about false miracles from "conterfiet" churches who continue on due to denominational loyalty...
