Um, if we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves. If you can work yourself into a sinless state then you don't need Jesus - good luck with that! The times I thought I could be proud of myself in my self-sufficency, I was really far from God. If you have faith in your faith or faith in how well you think you are doing, you are on shaky ground. Even anything good we do is tainted by sin. We are all beggars in need of daily repentance.

I didn't do anything I needed to repent of today or yesterday. I don't have to lie, I don't have to cheat, I don't have to lust, I don't have to drink, I don't have to smoke, I don't have to be greedy, I don't have to swear. I don't have to sin. There is power in Jesus Christ He is not only my Savior, He is my Deliverer. How does it go? He defeated the last enemy? what am I in bonds too? surely not to sin. To each their own, surely everyone will make up their own minds. As for me and mine, we follow Christ.

I sincerely am happy for you but just a reminder.

James 4:17
New King James Version (NKJV)

17 Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.

You don't mean to sin, but even in your thoughts you will sin. It's unintentional most the time. Noone can be sinless

You must be born again

when you are born again you do not think of sin

Mat 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
Mat 5:29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
Mat 5:30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

so we need to pluck out those thoughts and cast them away in prayer

no we will not even think of sinning anymore if we are in rapt attention with JEsus

this is what Jesus wants us to become

habit comes by repeated plucking of thoughts and throwing them away and putting in thoughts of Jesus and prayer

when you pray you are not imagining sex

Luke 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these sins that shall come into your mind

2 Th 1:11 Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith (doing all the Bible says) with power:

John 8:11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

While every person has the capacity to sin simply because any human desire or ambition that is motivated by self instead of God is a sin, scripture gives us a clear and concise instruction on how to overcome selfishness and, therefore, overcome our desire to sin:

2 Peter 1: 2-10

May grace (God’s favor) and peace (which is perfect well-being, all necessary good, all spiritual prosperity, and freedom from fears and agitating passions and moral conflicts) be multiplied to you in [the full, personal, precise, and correct] knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. For His divine power has bestowed upon us all things that [are requisite and suited] to life and godliness, through the [full, personal] knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His own glory and excellence (virtue). By means of these He has bestowed on us His precious and exceedingly great promises, so that through them you may escape [by flight] from the moral decay (rottenness and corruption) that is in the world because of covetousness (lust and greed), and become sharers (partakers) of the divine nature.

For this very reason, adding your diligence [to the divine promises], employ every effort in exercising your faith to develop virtue (excellence, resolution, Christian energy), and in [exercising] virtue [develop] knowledge (intelligence), And in [exercising] knowledge [develop] self-control, and in [exercising] self-control [develop] steadfastness (patience, endurance), and in [exercising] steadfastness [develop] godliness (piety), And in [exercising] godliness [develop] brotherly affection, and in [exercising] brotherly affection [develop] Christian love. For as these qualities are yours and increasingly abound in you, they will keep [you] from being idle or unfruitful unto the [full personal] knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One). For whoever lacks these qualities is blind, [[h]spiritually] shortsighted, seeing only what is near to him, and has become oblivious [to the fact] that he was cleansed from his old sins.

Because of this, brethren, be all the more solicitous and eager to make sure (to ratify, to strengthen, to make steadfast) your calling and election;for if you do this, you will never stumble or fall.

1st Corinthians 10:13

For no temptation (no trial regarded as enticing to sin), [no matter how it comes or where it leads] has overtaken you and laid hold on you that is not common to man [that is, no temptation or trial has come to you that is beyond human resistance and that is not [a]adjusted and adapted and belonging to human experience, and such as man can bear]. But God is faithful [to His Word and to His compassionate nature], and He [can be trusted] not to let you be tempted and tried and assayed beyond your ability and strength of resistance and power to endure, but with the temptation He will [always] also provide the way out (the means of escape to a landing place), that you may be capable and strong and powerful to bear up under it patiently.
Galatians 5:16
But I say, walk and live [habitually] in the [Holy] Spirit [responsive to and controlled and guided by the Spirit]; then you will certainly not gratify the cravings and desires of the flesh (of human nature without God).

Romans 8: 4-5

So that the righteous and just requirement of the Law might be fully met in us who live and move not in the ways of the flesh but in the ways of the Spirit [our lives governed not by the standards and according to the dictates of the flesh, but controlled by the Holy Spirit]. For those who are according to the flesh and are controlled by its unholy desires set their minds on and pursue those things which gratify the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit and are controlled by the desires of the Spirit set their minds on and seek those things which gratify the [Holy] Spirit.

1st John 3:6-9

No one who abides in Him [who lives and remains in communion with and in obedience to Him—deliberately, knowingly, and [habitually] commits (practices) sin. No one who [habitually] sins has either seen or known Him [recognized, perceived, or understood Him, or has had an experiential acquaintance with Him].

Boys (lads), let no one deceive and lead you astray. He who practices righteousness [who is upright, conforming to the divine will in purpose, thought, and action, living a consistently conscientious life] is righteous, even as He is righteous. [But] he who commits sin [who practices evildoing] is of the devil [takes his character from the evil one], for the devil has sinned (violated the divine law) from the beginning. The reason the Son of God was made manifest (visible) was to undo (destroy, loosen, and dissolve) the works the devil [has done].

No one born (begotten) of God [deliberately, knowingly, and [habitually] practices sin, for God’s nature abides in him [His principle of life, the divine seed, remains permanently within him]; and he cannot practice sinning because he is born (begotten) of God.

Romans 6:11-14

Even so consider yourselves also dead to sin and your relation to it broken, but alive to God [living in unbroken fellowship with Him] in Christ Jesus. Let not sin therefore rule as king in your mortal (short-lived, perishable) bodies, to make you yield to its cravings and be subject to its lusts and evil passions. Do not continue offering or yielding your bodily members [and faculties] to sin as instruments (tools) of wickedness. But offer and yield yourselves to God as though you have been raised from the dead to [perpetual] life, and your bodily members [and faculties] to God, presenting them as implements of righteousness. For sin shall not [any longer] exert dominion over you, since now you are not under Law [as slaves], but under grace [as subjects of God’s favor and mercy].

Not this again! You may not actively sin but you most definitely will continue to sin in some fashion. After all, we're still sinners in need of a Saviour. Christians are just sinners who've been forgiven and are growing to be more like Christ daily. But if you think you're without sin, you're deluded beyond words.

We do still sin, the difference is it no longer reigns in our bodies. We know how to recognize it and stop it or repent of it before it controls our lives again, and we are led back to the things of this world instead of following Christ.

Amen! We also have to understand how God sees us differently in Christ. Where sin abounds, grace much more abounds. In God's eyes we can't out sin His grace. What God is trying to say is that He is more concerned about our relationship with Him then our day to day short falls. But! Sin has a wage of it's own that can harden our heart towards God and cause us, in our own free will, to turn away from God and reject His offer of life. It's all about the heart relationship, not the sin. God, with His abundant grace, is trying to protect the heart from hardness because it's in the heart that salvation takes place. Remember, sometimes our behavior needs time to catch up to our salvation.

Saddly we will always sin so long as we are in our fleshly bodies and to say we can live without sinning at all isnt Scriptural. Even when I dont think I have sinned at the end of the day I ask for forgiveness anyways because im sure I must have sinned in some way

To say everybody still sins after coming to the knowledge of Christ, is to say Jesus also sinned. So say the dead is not raised, means Jesus never rose. If a evil though is a sin God and Jesus sinned. God had evil thoughts and Jesus was tempted at all points..

Now let's be real, if we claim to be "Christians" let's live up to the standard Jesus set for us and stop making excuses..unless he died in vain and there wasn't any power in the cross...

Gal 5:16*I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.*17*For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. Its that simple

If we could live a sin free life God would not have had to put 1 John 1:9 in the Bible. The danger of sin is not the sin, it's the effects of sin on the heart. Guilt, shame and condemnation hardens the heart towards God if we believe it's coming from Him. But what does God say? Believing what He says is what protects us from the effects of sin in our relationship with God.

Romans 8:31-37 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

jesus died to free us from the power of sin he did not die so we would be perfect. So again I ask are you perfect? if not then why do u preach what you yourself cannot do? We must take the plank from our own eyes my friend

Jesus did not give in to those temptations that satan tried to tempt Him with. Sinning applies to when we are in the flesh, not after death and resurrection, for then you have been transformed into a spiritual body.

The one who says he is with out sin is a lier.

Like I said before, the point of a new mind ( repentance ) is that we do not let it control us no more as it did before.

Wrongful thoughts are sin, look toward the scripture about adultery. Our Lord says, if any one lust in the heart he has already committed adultery. ( no physical action done, thoughts/feelings of the heart )

Are you asking me the question? If so did you answer it for me? Now am I perfect that's a good question.. If Jesus says be perfect because your Farther is perfect.. Well yes :p

You know you have to think about the temptation before you act upon it?

Exo 32:14 and the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people..

According to you God sinned

And in your heart and in your mind are different

I actually figured you would use that scripture but not everything in the bible is meant to be literal. Jesus said this for us to try to be perfect not actually be perfect. If you so much as look at a person with a tiny bit of judgement even just thinking negatively about their outer appearances a tiny bit you have sinned. If you ever get angry at someone and are not loving you have sinned.

We are all sinners and to say you are perfect means you lack humility and truth. I pray God will open your eyes
