I watched a video wear a guy and others prayed to Jesus and/or The Holy Spirit to help a ALMOST completely handicapped man walk. He could stand up with help but we never really see him walk. I saw another video where it was titled "Getting taller miracle healing" or something like that. If miracles have ceased, how are these people doing this? Are they deceived?

NO ONE and I mean NO ONE can heal except God. When a human claims to have healed someone, my reply is "MBFM".

Miracles have not ceased, we have a God who works miracles.
Maybe 'miracle workers' have ceased though their deceptions continue.

If you think miracles have ceased, they ceased just for you.

If i think miracles haven´t ceased, they are not ceased just for me.

All depend on either of the sides of FAITH you are in (it depends on where you want to go and belong).

I can believe: "Love does not exist" and, once I believe no one loves me, no one would love me.

That´s all I wanted to say. Just think and extrapole to where faith (your faith) is. :)

Absolutely, sir!

Perhaps someone needs to know GOD RECEIVES NOT ORDERS FROM any men. It´s clear some denominations are showing how strong "their" powers are and "these" are connected to GOD in a way that they, themselves, are like "gods".

I don´t want to say the names of those showy denominations...

Danielle, sadly, there are too many scams out there. The pastors or churches would pay people to help them to produce a miracle or scam. As several posters implied, only God can perform miracles. If you have an illness or serious problem, pray to God for a miracle and you just may get it. I have prayed for miracles and received them from God. You can also pray to God and ask for miracles for others in need.

Miracles has not ceased, people aren't taking the gift of the Holy Spirit as much so we don't really see many miracles. All people need to do is ask God for this wonderful gift and he will give it to you.

miracles are still happening, we just need to believe it, to see it. Like others have said, the Father is the miracle worker(not man). Maybe people are looking to man and not God, and thats why for some, miracles seem to not exist.

Where does the bible say miracles have ceased? Miracle workers are not the same as God performing miracles. Signs are designated for Jewish people but that does not prevent God from doing miraculous things for Gentiles. Folks claiming to do miracles should be treated with skepticism. God does perform His will on a continuous basis and will do so for all of eternity.

Have any person here thought why this is so important?

Mat 12:31 "So I tell you, people can be forgiven for every sinful thing they do and for every bad thing they say against God. But anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.

I started to believed God and the HS is the very only ONE.

Isa 42:8 "I am YAHWEH. That is my name. I will not give my glory to another. I will not let statues take the praise that should be mine.

Gen 6:3 Then the LORD said, "My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years."

Eze 36:27 And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules.

Eze 37:14 And I will put my Spirit within you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I am the LORD; I have spoken, and I will do it, declares the LORD."

Joel 2:28-29 "And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions...

Mat 12:18 "Behold, my servant whom I have chosen, my beloved with whom my soul is well pleased. I will put my Spirit upon him, and he will proclaim justice to the Gentiles. (That´s the Lord Jesus).

Act 2:17 "'And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams;
Act 2:18 even on my male servants and female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit, and they shall prophesy.

That´s the GOD I belive!

ONE God and His chosen one.

Miracles haven't ceased and unfortunately some people believe that the devil has more ability to manifest power in the natural realm than God does. Sure there maybe scammers out there, but certainly not all.

When people make a big show about it (usually in a church where signs and wonders are given far more emphasis than the Gospel) and especially if there's money involved then it's pretty much always going to be a scam. However miracles and healing can happen, don't let the scam artists hurt your faith and trust.

God is still willing to do miracles, but He won't force anything on anyone. If miracles threaten our way of thinking, then He will do less miracles for us, not because He can't do miracles but because He won't force us to believe or change our way of thinking: "He did not do many miracles there, because of their unbelief" (Mt. 13:58). They didn't believe He [should be] able to do miracles, so He didn't for their sake. Unbelief negates God's miracles but then makes room for fake miracle workers to deceive people.

The gift of miracles (healings) was given to usher in the gospel and establish the new covenant, but it ended with the Apostolic age. Evidence via miracles had served its purpose, and believers thereafter relied on faith alone. As Jesus told Thomas; "Because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed" (John 20:29). Today, there is no walking on water (John 6:19), no restoration of an amputated ear (Luke 22:51), no resurrections from the dead (John 11:43-44) and its why nothing remotely resembling biblical miracles are observed today. True miracles are self-verifying and undeniable events, they aren't phony displays of a person barely standing-up from a wheelchair.

The miracles we read about were examples of divine revelation of the first century, which were only performed by Christ and those he commissioned, so it could be "Confirmed unto us by them that heard him; God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost" (Hebrews 2:3-4)" Just as prophetic visions were given for a specific purpose, so were the temporary signs afforded to the apostles; "And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs " (Mark 16:20). jmo

How can you tell the difference between those led by the Lord and the Miracle workers that come at the end of age empowered by Satan?

Utter rubbish.

I have seen miracles, we hear of many testimonies about miracles. A couple of weeks ago we had someone speak to us about his ministry and work in Sudan.

He told how whole muslim village became converted after seeing miracles. A few people with terrible disabilities asked him if Jesus could heal him, he said yes, they beleived, he prayed, nothing happened instantly.

However they found Jesus and met with him, couple of days later they formed a church, with a few others, that night the people who asked for healing were healed of which numbered a blind woman who had her sight restored, a crippled boy who had to be carried everywhere was running around the next morning.

Everyone in the village saw how amazing God was and then all believed in Jesus and renounced Islam.
