If you are not saved now you will not see heaven. God's grace saves me today and continues to save me throughout all of eternity.

The body of flesh awaits redemption but the soul is forever secure in Christ.

Ok, thanks. I guess I'm saved then :)
There should be no guessing about it.
Is your hope and trust in no other but Jesus Christ and his death for your sins?
That is the question.

if you ae walking around here you are not saved
you could die tonight

being "saved" (the false theology saved) is like "whistling in the dark"
you dont know if you will be in a car accident or not

bible word SAVEd means
kept from death today

anyone saying they will never die now
is speculating

the only time you know you will never die is when you go up on the cloud

then you can say I will never die.

funny how religions twist meanings and invent false doctrines around them

no where in the Bible from generation to revelation do christs disciples walk around saying I MA SAVED I AM SAVED
that is false theology

peter said it then he fell

you dont know
if you will die today.

the accurate biblical way is to say

we have this hope of eternal life

no where do they way We have guaranteed eternal life

it is never taught like that.
Paul said
hang on
fight
hang on to the hope

Joe_3:16 The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.
Zec_9:12 Turn you to the strong hold, ye prisoners of hope: even to day do I declare that I will render double unto thee;
Luk_6:34 And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.
Act_2:26 Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:
Act_16:19 And when her masters saw that the hope of their gains was gone, they caught Paul and Silas, and drew them into the marketplace unto the rulers,
Act_23:6 But when Paul perceived that the one part were Sadducees, and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council, Men and brethren, I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee: of the hope and resurrection of the dead I am called in question.
Act_24:15 And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.
Act_26:6 And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made of God unto our fathers:
Act_26:7 Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving God day and night, hope to come. For which hope's sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews.
Act_27:20 And when neither sun nor stars in many days appeared, and no small tempest lay on us, all hope that we should be saved was then taken away.
Act_28:20 For this cause therefore have I called for you, to see you, and to speak with you: because that for the hope of Israel I am bound with this chain.
Rom_4:18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.
Rom_5:2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
Rom_5:4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
Rom_5:5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
Rom_8:20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
Rom_8:24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
Rom_8:25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
Rom_12:12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;
Rom_15:4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
Rom_15:13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
1Co_9:10 Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope.
1Co_13:13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
1Co_15:19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
2Co_1:7 And our hope of you is stedfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation.
2Co_3:12 Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:
2Co_10:15 Not boasting of things without our measure, that is, of other men's labours; but having hope, when your faith is increased, that we shall be enlarged by you according to our rule abundantly,
Gal_5:5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.
Eph_1:18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
Eph_2:12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
Eph_4:4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
Php_1:20 According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.
Php_2:23 Him therefore I hope to send presently, so soon as I shall see how it will go with me.
Col_1:5 For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;
Col_1:23 If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;
Col_1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
1Th_1:3 Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;
1Th_2:19 For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?
1Th_4:13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
1Th_5:8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
2Th_2:16 Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,
1Ti_1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope;
Tit_1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;
Tit_2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
Tit_3:7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
Heb_3:6 But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.
Heb_6:11 And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:
Heb_6:18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:
Heb_6:19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;
Heb_7:19 For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.
1Pe_1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
1Pe_1:13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
1Pe_1:21 Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.
1Pe_3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
1Jn_3:3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

Pharisees told Jesus

What you talkin about?
We are SAVED we are abrahams seed!

and Jesus said

oh
no
you are not

and then they killed him

But Jesus was right
they were NOT saved
they had bad hearts even though they claimed salvation they were lost.

claiming dont do it

it is living the life

walking the walk

and being faithful

IF you are fiathful you WILL be saved

that is correct.

and we all can be faithful cant we?

by grace through faith (believing the bible enough to do it.

Well you say you cannot know if you are saved so why are you attempting to teach on a subject that by your own admission you do not comprehend? Is that not as the Lord Jesus said the blind leading the blind with both destined to fall into the ditch?

Scripture is written that you may know that you eternal life.

I am reminded of what the Lord Jesus said about the Pharisees in Mat 23:13 you won't enter and you won't tolerate anyone else entering either.

I just joined a few days ago and hear a lot of people on here talking about when and how they were saved. I've been a christian my whole life so of course I've heard about it, but I never really understood it. I'm christian and accept Jesus in my heart, but does that mean I'm saved? I never had like an "ah ha" moment where I realized I was saved.

So, what does it mean to be saved and how were you saved? And am I saved?
(How many times am I going to write the word saved? Saved. Okay. I'm done.)
Take the test :)

Dont guess its to important! In addition to taking the test read First John he says I write these things so that you might know.
If you were in a car accident you would remember it. If God saved you and you died to self you would remember. Many people have asked Jesus into their heart and arent saved, I was one of them.
When you become born again there is a radical change the things you onced love you now hate and the things you wanted nothing to do with you now persue. Please take scriptures advice and make your calling and election sure.

Salvation is a way of life. Being born again into that life is the beginning. When the Bible says "today is the day of salvation, it means it will also be a day of salvation tomorrow if we have "truly been "born again." That can be a BIG if in some cases.

You have clearly shown you have no idea about the scriptures now.
'Saved' is something that Paul and other New Testament writings use in the past, present and future tense about believers still alive.
I really wish you would stop bothering people with you're unbiblical, unchristian rubbish.

I can only speak for myself. My entire life changed. I could do things (make a speech longer than 5 seconds, I no longer stuttered, I could talk to others, etc), and no longer do things (hang with many of my old friends, lie to my parents, I could discern right and wrong, etc.). All this didn't happen over night, and I still grow more every day. I had a wonderful Sunday School teacher who told me to read and study the Book of James. Please read and study it.

There are many posts on this site that will confuse you more than help you. Filter them through the Bible.

I hope that this helps. May God bless you in your new walk.

Well.............someone has to rain on this parade...........(do like the pink hair though :) )

People are not "saved" from birth........indicated by your statement "my whole life." Salvation is no hereditary. One isn't saved because ones Grandmother, or Mother was saved........went to church every Sunday.

Salvation is a personal event that occurs between a person and God. So if you have not had that "aha" moment, there is a good chance you may not be saved. A few questions to consider..........

Have you ever fell under conviction of the Holy Spirit for your earthly/sinful life?
Have you ever knelt down --- with a sincere and contrite heart and confessed your sins to God?
Have you ever (while kneeling there praying) asked Jesus Christ to come into your life as your Lord and Saviour?
Have you ever (while kneeling there praying) surrendered your whole life to His Will?

One MUST be old enough to understand right from wrong..........before one can understand that they are living a sinful life. A life apart from God. And then one can understand the need for God --- through His Grace --- to save their souls.

just FYI........... :)
thanks, that was a good way to put it. So, if you do all that, how do you know when you are truly saved?

Amazing!, people needs to try it and see for themselves. Be saved, get saved, and then witness what it's like to be saved.

I do not think guessing is involved in knowing if you are saved. This simple passage from the Bible tells it all.

"Then he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” [SUP]31 [/SUP]And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.” " Acts 16:30-31

If you believe in Jesus Christ, and follow him, you will be saved. Please examine your heart to make sure you are truly believing and following, and then you will know. That is 24/7. No time off to go and sin and explore the pleasures of sin for a season.

Praying for you to know for certain that God is real, and that he has saved you to eternal life.

thanks, that was a good way to put it. So, if you do all that, how do you know when you are truly saved?
The subtle difference is, its not what you do, you beg God to save you and he will if your sincere. The Holy Spirit will testify of your salvation and you will have assurance of it. True belief effects your thoughts and your actions. Its more than just acknowledging Jesus is God and believing he died for you. Thats an intellectual agreement. When Christ is Lord hes in the drivers seat not the copilot.

If you are unsure tell God. Tell God you are unsure and that you believe in Jesus Christ with all your heart and ask God to give you certainty about your salvation. Many who are saved at a young age need to go back when they are older and confirm their belief before the Lord. The Lord give peace and assurance if you ask it of Him.

God understands doubt and wants to give you certainty.
