May you all rejoice in this set-apart and special day, and may you all find rest. May God give you all greater opportunities to serve Him and serve His people, and may you do it joyfully!

Have a blessed day!

Today is NOT the Sabbath.
It begins this evening.

Happy Sabbath everyone.
What john said.

The Sabbath starts on Friday night. For some of my Sabbath-keeping brothers and sisters around the world, the Sabbath is underway or just about to be.

Still a few hours away for me, but just getting a head start on the blessings!

For sure, every day should be spent worshiping God, spending time with Him and resting in our relationship with Him. I'm just recognizing the fact that God set a 7th-day Sabbath apart from all of the other days, and tonight begins that day.

Which Sabbath?

The weekly one to start ~6 PM?
Or the every-seven-years one?

Are you keeping your 7th year sabbaths?
Remember how Israel got 70 years captivity as retribution for not keeping the sabbatical years.

Let's see now, where should I go for my sabbatical?
I fear the criminals now too much to go to Acapulco.

Where would be the ideal place?

I'm only talking about the every 7 days one, but I do keep the every 7 years one as well.

As far as where to celebrate them? Wherever God has placed His name.
Where is His name today?

Matthew 18:20
"For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst."

Well Aaronic Priest, I am now very curious. You are the first person I ever countered who claimed he kept the Sabbatical year. How do you know which year is the sabbatical year? And do you keep the year of Jubilee? How about cleansing yourself with the Ashes of the Red Heifer? Do you wear fringes?

I thought you couldn't put new wine into old wineskins? Well, you could try but it'll fail.

You will never find one example in scripture of NT believers, including the apostles who were all Jews, after the ascension of Christ putting into practice the keeping of the Sabbath. You won't find it, it is not there, it can't be found. Keeping the Sabbath is not part of the new covenant and it is not a NT practice for believers who are in Christ, both for the Jew and the Gentile. To practice keeping the Sabbath as you do is an OT practice under the law and that is all it is and under the law it was required of the Jew to do so.

6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
7 But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:
8 How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious?
9 For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.
10 For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth.
11 For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious.

In the book of Acts alone Paul gathered every Sabbath for a year and a half that's at least 84 Sabbaths. That's a lot of Sabbaths. In Matthew 24:20 Jesus Himself confirmed the Sabbath would still be the Sabbath 40 year after His resurrection. There is more but I'll stop with just two witnesses.
