In YouTube I saw a video named "Earth 2100" and it said that according to science, the life will end in 2100. Is that true? Is Jesus coming back in 2100?

And on what basis did they make their claim? Global warming? Martians? Bush?

if he did, life would still be around for at least 1000 years.

he said he comes back BEFORE life on earth is destroyed to save it.

When it comes to Christianity, YouTube is often a "freak show." Most Christians, especially CC, won't waste their time on such silliness. Please stick to the Bible and research it on the internet and other sources. Or ask CC posters which can be a blessing when it relates to knowledge on the Scripture.

. Pure nonsense. Christ himself did not know when the second coming would be.

"This program was developed to show the worst-case scenario for human civilization. Again, we are not saying that these events will happen — rather, that if we fail to seriously address the complex problems of climate change, resource depletion and overpopulation, they are much more likely to happen."

The world will never end from anything man may do.

I remember reading the earth was going to come to an end, based on the Club of Rome predictions. They were a very prestigious group of scientists and economists and so forth and in 1972 they published their findings in a report called "Limits to Growth."

So what was the day the world would end, in that original book? 2000.

Yep, we are still here. No doubt about it. Interestingly, I looked up about this book and the Club of Rome, and they are still hard at work predicting the end of the world. It seems like the new date is 2100.

So that is where your youtube video got the date, and likely was produced by this very group!

I have to agree that we are not good stewards of the earth, and we are not taking good care of it. But I also believe God is in control. So as Christians, we need to remember to live ecologically, which is a term I use to mean, "Live as close to the way God would have us live."

That means caring for not only the earth, but the poor, and living a simpler lifestyle. Eating organic is another cause of mine, just because I do think pesticides and poisons are going to catch up with our genetics. God never wanted humans to poison the earth. And as for the doom sayers that believe that we are all going to die soon, I trust that God has created an earth with enough resiliency to stand even GMO's and nuclear bombs.

So I hope you will be reassured and trust God. I will not be around in the year 2100, but maybe my grandchildren or great grandchildren will still be alive. I am sure that God will intervene if things get worse much quicker.

Besides, I am looking forward to the day Jesus returns! That will be a great and glorious day!
