Jesus came to preach and establish His kingdom here on earth.

Luke 4:43 Jesus said to them, “I must preach the kingdom of God to the other cities also, because for this purpose I have been sent.”

He did not come to make people ready for heaven. We don't repent of our sin in order to be accepted into heaven. We repent of our sin in order to demonstrate to the world what the kingdom of God looks like. God loves us whether we live kingdom life now or not. The problem is that when Jesus comes He is coming to gather, out of His kingdom, things that offend and those who practice lawlessness.

Matthew 13:40-42 Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age. The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Those who practice lawlessness are those who have seen and tasted of the kingdom and decided that it's not for them.

Hebrews 6:4-6 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.

When Jesus comes the second time He is coming to usher in the millennial kingdom in which He and we rule the world at Jerusalem.

Revelation 5:10 And have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth.”

Revelation 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

In the Old Covenant God was teaching the world orthodoxy. He was teachings us kingdom rules and regulations so that when Jesus came to set up His kingdom we would have a baseline in how to in the live in the kingdom.

When Jesus came He ushered in His spiritual kingdom and taught us orthopraxy. Orthopraxcy is how we apply orthodoxy. Orthodoxy, without orthopraxy, is hard, cold and broken. Orthopraxy is the spirit of orthodoxy.

When Jesus comes again He is coming to finalize the kingdom of God. The whole world will have a thousand years to except the ways of the kingdom.

Daniel 7:13-14 “I was watching in the night visions, and behold, One like the Son of Man, coming with the clouds of heaven! He came to the Ancient of Days, and they brought Him near before Him. Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, That all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom the one which shall not be destroyed.

The world will have a thousand years to decide whether or not they want to be part of the final kingdom. In the final kingdom there will be no more pain, sorrow or death neither on earth or in a fictitious place under the earth called, hell. The thousand year millennial kingdom is not the final kingdom.

1 Corinthians 15:23-27 Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. The last enemy that will be destroyed is death. For“He has put all things under His feet.” But when He says “all things are put under Him,”it is evident that He who put all things under Him is excepted. Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all.

Jesus did not come the first time to make a people ready for heaven, He came to set up His kingdom. He died for the sins of the entire world whether you believe it or not. If you believe God is not counting your sins against you because He loves you it will change you. It will awaken within you a new creation. A creation they called, the Way or the kingdom of God. When people run into you they will experience and taste the kingdom of God by how you interact with them. They will experience the life changing power of unconditional love and forgiveness in the here and now, not sometime in the distant future when they get to a place called, heaven.

Turn from your sin now and demonstrate to the world around what a person looks like who has been change by God's unconditional love and forgiveness. Remember, those who have experienced the fullness of God's unconditional love and forgiveness love much.

He came to be tempted as we are tempted.....to live as we live...to feel as we feel...to hurt as we hurt...to suffer as we suffer and to do it perfectly and without fault....so he would be the unblemished lamb...to atone for our sin.

-yes Jesus preached to setup or establish His kingdom for us to seek.

33But"Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness"
and all these things shall be added unto you.

4These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created,
in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens,

Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.

-Gods Kingdom of Heaven started when the word made the Heavens and earth.

God the Father , sent Jesus the word in flesh, For this purpose :1 John 3:8
the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy of the works devil.

1The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God;

1And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan,
and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,
13And he was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted of Satan;
and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered unto him
10Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written,
Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve

-Jesus defeats the devil here, and qualifys to rule the Kingdom.

14Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee,
preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,
15And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand:
repent ye, and believe the gospel.matthew 4

16The people which sat in darkness saw great light;
and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.

17From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.matthew 4:17
38And he said unto them, Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also: for therefore came I forth.

-God had a very important promise come and message to Isreal.

And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water.

14And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach,
15And to have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils:

5These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of
the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:

6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel(they are still hidden and lost).
7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

23"And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom,
and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people" Matthew 4:23

35And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching
the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.

-yes Jesus gave us tons of parables about the Kingdom we should know, like mans and church harvest

35 Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
36 Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left
41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

47Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was
cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:Matthew 13:47

-the Gospel is the good news about this Kingdom

12But now the people believed Philip’s message of Good News concerning the Kingdom of God
and the name of Jesus Christ. As a result, many men and women were baptized.(acts 8:12)

Repent, and believe in the gospel" (Mark 1:15).

-He appeared to His Apostles and commissioned them before he left,

15And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils;
they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them;
they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

17Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive
the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.

And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me;
"For the God of heaven has given you a kingdom, power, strength, and glory"
"I have gone preaching the kingdom of God" (Acts 20:25).

-Those who practice lawlessness are not enlightened,

21He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me:
and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him,

and will manifest myself to him.John 14:21

14For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

-those who were once enlightened,and fall away

But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb,
The dog is turned to his own vomit again;
and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted?
it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

1And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh,
justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound,
the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

44And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed:
and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces
and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.

22Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail,
23Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?

3Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.

16And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem
shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.

17And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto
Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.

18And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague,
wherewith the Lord will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.
19This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of
all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

-i believe egypt never learns there leson and becomes desolate and dry, verse.

20There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days:
for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.
and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the Lord of hosts.

1And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal,
proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

7 Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.

The best way for us to understand what Jesus came to do is to go back to the first explanation that scripture gave of this. When the Hebrews were released from slavery it was an explanation of all Jesus does for us, from the blood of the lamb on the doorposts so death passes over us to the entire wanderings in the desert after this salvation of the Hebrews. Salvation was accomplished though the blood on the doorposts, that is the most important of this story. Some say it is the end of the story, but scripture adds much more.

Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would have fought that I might not be delivered up to the Jews. But now My kingdom is not from here. John 18.36
When Jesus said His kingdom is not of this world he wasn't saying it's somewhere else, He was saying it's different from what they saw in the world. In other words, it's a way of life that is based on the ways of God and not the ways of the world. Let me give you another example. When we live by the kingdom principles found in the teachings of Jesus we are viewed as not as not of this world. This does not mean we are from somewhere else, it just means we are not of the same mindset of this world.

John 15:19 If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.

Jesus came to do and accomplish many things but it was all for the kingdom of God. If there is no coming kingdom then His death has no value if it was only for this life. If there is no coming kingdom then living holy is foolish. Understanding and believing the promise of God's kingdom will give hope and empower us to live holy. As a matter of fact, the kingdom of God gave Jesus joy and empower Him to suffer the cross.

Hebrews 12:2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Jesus understood the glory of the kingdom of God and what the cross would do to usher people into the kingdom and it gave Him joy and strength to endure the shame of the cross. Believing the promise of the coming kingdom will also give us joy an empower us to live holy longing and waiting for that great day. This hope of the promise even empower those of the Old Testament to live holy and obedient to God.

Hebrews 11:37-40 They were stoned, they were sawn in two, were tempted,were slain with the sword. They wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins, being destitute, afflicted, tormented— of whom the world was not worthy. They wandered in deserts and mountains, in dens and caves of the earth. And all these, having obtained a good testimony through faith, did not receive the promise, God having provided something better for us, that they should not be made perfect apart from us.
