My absolute favorite phrase is ‘but God’.
I’m so weary, but God will give me strength.
I’m lonely, but God will be my friend.
I’m in pain, but God will comfort me.
I’m broken, but God will put the pieces together.
Even one of my favorite verses:
Man looks on outer appearances, but God looks at the heart.

All of the above apply to me. Good post.

What a great topic!

"As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today." Gen. 50:20

"My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever." Psalm 73:26

My personal favorite:

"but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

"But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us," Eph. 2:4
