Daniel 10-11-14 "11 And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling.12 Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.14 Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days."

Clear your mind, find a quiet place, relax.
You don't have to let anything come between you and your God. God will protect you if you ask him to come into your heart.
I delt with this now I have no problems praying at all. Ignore all negative thoughts. They go away over time.

Our prayers can indeed bbe hindered and enhanced both for many reasons. our prayers can be hindered by sin, asking merely for self gain, not forgiving or staying angry at someone, not being willing to accept gods will even if that means we dont get what we asked for and so on and so forth.
they can be enhanced by fasting, seeking Gods will, a pure hearted request, asking for the sake of others out of love ect. But we have to understand the very real thing about prayer, the second we pray a war begins in the spiritual realm. Sometimes our prayers go unanswered for a long time because the devils minion and Gods angels are both fighting very hard one to follow through the request the other to make sure it doesnt happen.

I know this war al to well.... i have prayed for a very long time about certain things like being filled deeply with love or being freed from my chains that the devil has me wrapped up in very tightly. I notice how when i pray sometimes they seem to flow easily and i know they will be answered but certain ones i feel great resistance and while i choose to believe they can be answered i know deep down they wont or at least not now.

i fight a spiritual battle everyday mostly through prayer, i lose the battle everytime but i wont lose the war. Im just one of those ppl who for reasons unkown have to go through very hard spiritual struggle almost seemingly unbeatable and from experience i could easily believe that.
The devil knows i cant win right now and he knows he has power over me for now but I fully believe in what god can do and how strong he is. i know anything is possible with him even though i have never seen it in my own life.

Lisa, to answer the OP, and this is only my personal opinion, :) I do not believe that our prayers are blocked from getting to God's ears. He hears ALL of our prayers, whether they be silent or spoken. Sometimes, though, we may have too much noise going on in our lives so that we cant hear God when he answers, so it may seem our prayers are blocked or unheard by God. We need to turn down the commotion in our lives so we can hear his still, small voice!! :)

1. When our prayers are "hindered", they are hindered by US, not by spiritual forces. We hinder our own prayers by having a wrong heart, or being in sin.
(There are times when God CANNOT answer our prayers until we get our hearts right... it's not mysterious. If you pray for a job as a pastor, but you're smoking crack every day... God is obviously not going to answer that prayer. This is simple stuff.)

2. Daniel's prayer was never "blocked". God immediately heard everything Daniel said. It was the angel that was blocked from "answering" the prayer... and this could only happen if God allowed it.

Now, is Satan, or any of his minions, bigger than God? No. Are any of them more powerful than God? No. Then if an angel was withstood by some Satanic being, it was ONLY because God ordained that, and allowed it to happen. God is never out of control.

If God is all-knowing, and God is all-powerful, then nobody is going to outsmart him or out-power him. Anything that goes wrong is because God is AWARE, and God ALLOWS it to happen. God is never surprised. God is never beaten.

No spiritual being is going to outsmart God, or prevent God from answering any prayer that God FEELS LIKE ANSWERING.

- If you think God is ever incapable of hearing your prayer, then your God is far too small and impotent
- If you think God is ever incapable of answering your prayer, then your God is far too weak.
- If you think God can ever be outwitted by Satan, then your God is far too unintelligent.

God is ALWAYS in control.

ISAIAH 59:1-2

Warnings against Sin

59 Listen! The Lord’s arm is not too weak to save you,
nor is his ear too deaf to hear you call.
2 It’s your sins that have cut you off from God.
Because of your sins, he has turned away
and will not listen anymore.

Let us imagine the scenario.

1. Both prayed
2. Before Daniel opened his mouth, the answer was already prepared but it was blocked.
Before the sinner opened his mouth, the answer was not there because God had turned
away and will not listen anymore.
4. Daniel sets his heart to understand God's words meaning he listened and obeyed.
Sinner sets his heart not to understand God's ways because of verse 9. And didn't listen.
5. Our prayers were never been blocked because God answers prayer by yes, no and wait. It can
never be blocked, regardless of Daniel or sinner.
6. Gods answers to our prayers were blocked. Why? We are living in a fallen world. This is Satan's playground and we are in the middle of war, God vs Satan, Fallen Angels vs God's servant angels

Now I asked how can it be blocked? What can be blocked, and why can it be blocked?

Thanks for making me aware of this. I will study more on it. o")

Agreed God even created the wicked for the day of evil and He is in control completely but what is this scripture meant to tell us then? That God sends angels to answer prayers?

I know those type of instand confirmation prayers and the doubt that keeps me from claiming the victory in others as well. I know aslo I would not give my child a pocket knife or any tool before he has shown me they wont harm himself or others with it. So if I want something I start acting like I can handle the tool.

God hears our prayers yes and he is in control of all things but spiritual warfare is a complicated matter that isnt easy to understand or explain. I dont know why God allows dmonic forces to attack our prayers nor do I really care because he knows what he is doing. faith isnt an issue for me and when doubt does try to sneak In i refuse to believe it but it seems believing isnt enough or at least for me- heck i tried to heal my severe bone pain once. it felt like my hand was at the same time Jesus hand as I reached to heal it I fully believed it would be healed.
Nothing happened other than a soft soothing feeling I was not healed though.

I dont question why i wasnt healed, i know full well God was testing me he wanted to see if i would have faith in him to to heal me even if i wasnt. in a way I understand why I havent recieved answers to my prayers for so long, obviously it isnt an issue of faith rather my heart is being tested. What is a simple answered prayer for others is a miracle for me but as I always say some ppl need a miracle to believe but the real miracle is those who believe without ever seeing.

That is exactly what I think God is doing with me, I believe I struggle with spiritual warefare, unanswered prayer or healing because he wants me to believe and have faith without ever recieving anything. in all honesty it seems really unfair but i know the deeper meaning behind it all

No!

Ephesians 3:12 In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.

Hebrews 10:19-22 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
And having an high priest over the house of God;
Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

Maxwel pretty well nailed it, no point in repeating, God hears everything, but the answer will wait for us to reach a point where we can receive it. God answers prayers in 3 ways, Yes, No, and wait. while waiting, wait on God (as a waiter does at a restaurant) but remember Jesus' parable of the unjust Judge which basically teaches that the squeaky wheel gets greased!
