I believe the Bible is a misunderstood book for a big reason. Many read it without viewing it as a writing of a Legal Binding Contract of a King to his people in his Kingdom. The Bible is split into two parts 1. the Old Testament and 2. The New Testament also known as the Old Covenant and the New Covenant. The word Covenant is another word for Contract or Agreement and is a legal document, also known as a Constitution. A Constitution is a governments legal promise to its people that is uphelp by the laws of that country. We say the Bible is the absolute truth and God cannot lie, yet when we read the bible we look at it as a devotional book or a religious document. The Bible is about a KING, a KINDOME and the PEOPLE of the KING.
Jesus preached the Kingdom, the disciples preached the Kingdom and Jesus. Yet many christians don't know anything about kingdom principles, kindome living, or kingdom rights. I encourage you to start a study kingdoms. I will give you a headstart.
What is a Kingdom
What is a King
What is a President
What is a Democracy
Start with this and then dig deeper, God bless you on your journey through this study.

The kindome and Jesus is the message we need to hear. I have been trying to get that message out for about a year now off and on. I know it can change lives.

This is a unique and marvelous approach to understanding the bible. I still think the basic most important way is instructions toward living with the Lord forever!

But this approach throws some holes in some dearly loved ways of looking at scripture. If scripture is about legally binding covenants, and one covenant does not wipe out all others when it is newer, then all new covenant churches would be in danger. If God is our king, and is King of the kingdom of God, then what God told the Hebrews about living within His kingdom while we were still in the flesh would be binding, and all the ones who insist that when we go under grace for salvation, we are not under any obligation to live here in the kingdom would be in error and they insist they are right in that.

Which Covenant shall we go by?
The Abrahamic Covenant?
The Palestinian (land) Covenant?
The Mosaic Covenant?
The Davidic Covenant?
The New Covenant?

or as some others like to parse...

The Covenant of Works?
The Covenant of Grace?

and then which are Conditional and which are Unconditional?

and so on and so forth.

Which covenant did the Lord break? Even lowly me is made to honor a legal document, but the Lord doesn't honor His? I have tracked the scripture giving most of these covenants but I am not familiar with a scripture saying there is a covenant of "works"? I have heard men against God's word say God will save them based on their works, but I have never found this in scripture. I have read God will bless them based on works, but scripture says salvation is not from works. Always, the ones who say this use it to speak against the Lord, especially when the Lord gives them any instructions in walking with Him in the Kingdom. It usually includes terrible threats to anyone who would like to walk in this way.

The bible is a collection of books made into one Book. The word Bible comes from the Greek word Biblos meaning books. These books known asn the Old Testament and the New Testament or old covenant and new covenant. Accordign to the Bible we are in the New Covenantthat many call Grace. Salvation cannot be gained by works as the bible says it is by faith through grace. It seems people want top make this more complicated that it is by trying to make it be by one or the other. Well Jesus is the fulfilment of the old covenant and gave us a new one that saves which the old could not do.

The purpose of this post is to give a prospective on the Bible that most people never looked at because we are not under a king or in a kindom but a democracy. So when kindome teminology is used it is not well received. Yet that is what Jesus preached and the apostles. Again do a study on Kindom, King, kingdom living. By the way evry law found in the NT is in the OT Jusus said once a new law I give you To love one another as I have loved you, by this people will know you are mine.

Actually the Bible and its inception and the Kingdom of God is not a democracy it never could be, we have a King that means we believers are under a Theocracy which is why so many people have problems. They want to have a say about what the King has already said and that causes the problem. Our King was Jesus who left us his rules of order while on earth before ascending back to heaven. He left the Holy Spirit in the earth as his replacement to complete the work in us and remind us of out orders for Kingdom living. The comforter that was promised is more than our aid he is the New King in our heart and lives. Just some thoughts

Actually that is what I meant that we are under a King and not a democracy because a democracy is the voice of the people and laws are placed in order buy voting. In a Kingdom there is not voting and every law is placed into exsistance by the King period. Also every position in the kingdom is by being appointed not voted in. So I fully agree with the way you explained the King in his Kingdom. Jesus is our King and the Holy Spirit is the King's Governor on the earth to give the kingdom inside us.

Pastac, I think you misunderstood -- iwant2serve was saying that we living in a country that is considered a democracy (even though it is technically a representative republic). Because most of us live in a democratic society, it is difficult for us to understand kingdoms.

I think this is a valid and worthy study. Thanks, iwant2serve, for challenging us all.
