Psalm 13
1 How long, O LORD? Will You forget me forever?
How long will You hide Your face from me?

2 How long shall I take counsel in my soul,
Having sorrow in my heart daily?
How long will my enemy be exalted over me?

3 Consider and hear me, O LORD my God;
Enlighten my eyes,
Lest I sleep the sleep of death;
4 Lest my enemy say,
“I have prevailed against him”;
Lest those who trouble me rejoice when I am moved.

5 But I have trusted in Your mercy;
My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation.
6 I will sing to the LORD,
Because He has dealt bountifully with me.

Interesting.. "My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation".. The Hebrew word for salvation is "Yeshua" .. My heart shall rejoice in YESHUA.. AMEN.. No matter how we feel or what we are going through even if we feel like God has left us.. He is always there and we can always rejoice in Yeshua/Jesus!

A favorate of mine.
Yes, in the world, seeing evil and its theft and destruction. I feel this way.
Then Our Lord Jesus reminds me. His spirit comforts me.
Our Father wipes away every tear.
And praise is my song.
It is easy to identify with King David. He was good with words.
God bless, pickles

Are you a poet? You have a good sense for euphony.

two things I admire about King David:

1) As a teen, before he fought Goliath, he said, "WHO does this guy think he IS?? Coming against God's chosen!!" (my own interpretation. lol)

Such confidence! Gotta love that.

2) As king, David took off all his "kingly" clothes and danced before the LORD with ALL his might.

Just WHEN was the last time you did that? I, personally, am on a Pentecostal "high" and I don't want to come down!

Gotta love that, too.

The Psalms are awesome. I have went there alot and God can use them as a example and encouragement for us when we are feeling unworthy and far from Him. If you look at just about every man in the bible you can see men called by God stumbling and falling short and God's Hand being there to catch them.

I heard a bible class teacher said when he read the bible he would spend time in the O.T. but when he was looking for something uplifting he would always go to the N.T., and I thought huh? What about the Psalms? Even in Exodus there are treasures of God's love and plan for us today. God even said at one point that He had given David as an example of all the mercies of God. If you look at David and see God not leaving Him, how can we doubt that He remains with us? Sometimes we need to be reminded though for sure.

Yes I feel like David a lot of times. When I pray and trust God, I know that Gods power is cutting satan and his evil foes heads off and I am putting my feet on satan. Praise and glory to God!!
