Jeremiah 7:9
“‘Will you steal and murder, commit adultery and perjury,[a] burn incense to Baal and follow other gods you have not known, 10 and then come and stand before me in this house, which bears my Name, and say, “We are safe”—safe to do all these detestable things? 11 Has this house, which bears my Name, become a den of robbers to you? But I have been WATCHING declares the Lord!!!!!!!!
12 “‘Go now to the place in Shiloh where I first made a dwelling for my Name, and see what I did to it because of the wickedness of my people Israel. 13 While you were doing all these things, declares the Lord, I spoke to you AGAIN and AGAIN, but you did not listen; I called you, but you did not answer. 14 Therefore, what I did to Shiloh I will now do to the house that bears my Name, the temple you trust in, the place I gave to you and your ancestors. 15 I will thrust you from my presence, just as I did all your fellow Israelites, the people of Ephraim.’

God 'hated' Cain? I believe that He 'had no respect for Cain's offering" so maybe I missed something in scripture but I can't see where God hated Cain - can you please show me? Thanks.

God is never neutral, He loves or He hates. "You hate all workers of iniquity" Psa5:5 and in Rom.9:13 "Jacob I have loved, but Esau I have hated" Each person is loved and elected to eternal life OR appointed in wrath to eternal damnation. So. it is a no brainier, Cain was Hated by God, appointed to wrath. John 3:16 is only a temporal, conditional love for all sinners, but only for the moment of Jesus' death and resurrection for all. God's everyday love is only temporal , one day at a time, for man must die, and then the judgment. Love to all. Hoffco

1 John 4:8b God is love.

Jacob = nation of Israel
Esau = nation of Edom

Genesis 25:21 - 23 And Isaac intreated the LORD for his wife, because she was barren: and the LORD was intreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived, And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If it be so, why am I thus? and she went to inquire of the LORD. and the LORD said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger. . . . The only thing God did was keep the blood line of Christ by letting Jacob take the inheritance - the elder shall serve the younger.

Cain - Gen. 4:5a But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. . . . Gen. 4:14b,15 . . . and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me. And the LORD said unto him,Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him. . . . . Does that sound like God hated Cain?

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. . . . temporal love? God's love is only a temporal love?

Is there a point you're trying to make?

What?????

John 11:35) Jesus wept.

[I've wondered why Jesus wept, apparently He read the OP, and He probably gave a deep SIGH!]
