[FONT=&quot]The simplicity in Christ is the daily companionship of the Lord Jesus. Do you sense that Christ is yours all day long? Do you think about that, and live out of that relationship? The simplicity that is found in Christ is lost the micro-second that something is added to His complete perfect faith in order to GAIN salvation!

To the OP, great verse. Thanks for sharing...

dcontroversal... what do you mean by His complete perfect faith ? We must do certain things right ?
We must believe right ?
We must repent right ?
Didn't Jesus say only those that DO the will of my Father will enter the Kingdom of Heaven ?
We must work out our salvation with fear and trembling right ?

It seems to me that while Paul says we must finish the race, certain people here teach that their is no race to be ran at all... as if the starting line was actually the finish line, and their is nothing for you to do whatsoever.

The so called 'living relationship' is often carried on by those trying to earn their salvation.

We have been risen in Christ, given the Holy Spirit, have had our sins forgiven, have passed from judgment into life, have been given a new nature,we are lead, strengthened, enlightened, convicted by the Holy Spirit thus we bear fruit to His glory as we abide in His Word...His Word is Truth.
It's from the position of already having eternal life we serve Him...we don't serve Him in order to gain life.
He who has the Son has Life right now.

See here is a perfect example of missed truth and I say that with no heat or not in a mouthy way....

If you read Galatians and Ephesians you will find the follow principles in the truth...

We exercise faith into the perfect FAITH of Jesus and that perfect FAITH of Christ is what SAVES us and KEEPS us saved.....

Galatians 2:16, 20 and 3:22, Ephesians 2:8-10<---THAT not of YOURSELVES is directed at FAITH

People who believe you can loose your salvation MISS that is our salvation is based upon...

1. The completed work of Christ
2. The perfect faith of Christ

All we have to do is acknowledge it......and Immersion is the public profession of your faith and states to the world that You have died with Christ, have been buried with Christ and are resurrected a NEW CREATION in Christ.....

The human mind is a fragile, strange mind! Even after we give our life to Christ and live by the Holy Spirit. It is very like a computer mind, "garbage in, garbage out". Even minds filled with lots of one part of scripture and not another part gets a bit lopsided. Add ones who have been baby sat with TV, lots of modern movies, and allowed any book without careful parent guidance and even those minds have too much added to be simple and content in Christ.

It felt to me like my mind filled out when I added understanding of Old Testament to the New Testament understanding I had, and I notice that lots of Christians really put any of this understanding down. Usually it is when they know only one part of scripture. Before, I had read the OT often and learned to sneer at the 613 laws and the stoning, I knew how Christ forgave and freed us. Rituals, feasts, sacrificial ceremonies, God's kings with harems----it was all opposed to Christ who straightened out the world, and until I learned how God operated in our world, the world was only all wrong before Christ. I thought my Creator was like a bad, angry unloving parent.

I had no idea there was a direct connection between what I actually did and having Christ within me that is a necessary component to the simplicity of Christ until I was directed to the love and care of God for me told of in the OT. Before, I thought Christ severed that connection through the faith and grace that is such a part of Christ. I wasn't worshipping Christ at all, I was worshipping the God I thought Christ was, not the simplicity of Christ.

This is a perfect example of not seeing Christ because it severs anything we do from Christ, a severing of ourselves from Christ. It is insidious because within the conclusion and a major part of reaching this conclusion are actual facts that we are told of Christ. We know what we do is not what leads directly to salvation, that Christ rounded out and completed and if it was possible to have faith in all scripture says without our ever acting on it, then it would truly be that it is only faith in Christ's blood that saves us. It is giving a wonderful picture of Christ and saying look how wonderful our picture is, it gives a picture of Christ with clarity. Yet, a piece of Christ is blocked out.

Colossians 2:8-10 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

When the rich man asked Christ what must he DO to be saved, did Jesus say something that lines up with your theology ? Or did He tell the man to GO and DO ?
Why didnt Jesus just tell the man " you don't have to do anything"... ???

I mean, it is just amazing to me...
If a man walked up to me and asked me what he must do to be saved, and I quoted what Jesus said... you would be beside yourself because it doesnt line up and fit into your theological box. Stop viewing scripture through your chosen theological lens.

We lose the simplicity of CHRIST of the New Covenant because we are in the flesh. We take out of context from the Scripture what is pleasing to the flesh and live them and encourage others who are also weak unite. Failing to acknowledge the New Covenant as a whole to understand by the Help of the HOLY SPIRIT our Teacher.

We are all doing something for the LORD JESUS CHRIST to please HIM, but fail to listen and pay attention to the HOLY SPIRIT of the New Covenant, including me about 'lawlessness' towards one another first and towards the world.

What we have done is establish HIS Kingdom here with our material achievements, when HE have said to pilate;

'My Kingdom is not of this world."

Instead we acting in faith according to the written New Covenant sound doctrine as foreigners here for the Gospel, we are acting like citizens of the world and we have build beautiful buildings and houses for ourselves and weapons to protect ourselves and use the gifts of the HOLY SPIRIT and providence of GOD to enrich ourselves and yet for GOD strain out a small fly even in this forum to show off to one another.

Can anyone see this by the Help of the faithful HOLY SPIRIT whom we grief everyday until today according to the sound doctrine knowledge of the words of spirit and life of the New Covenant as guiding Light that came to this world and the world knew HIM not.

Do we as believers 'abide' in HIS words of the New Covenant, in order to be gloomy and sad our hypocrisy?

Then how can HE Help in all our weaknesses that we neglect and fail to lay down our lives of fleshly dignity that HE highlights according to the New Covenant, the double edged sword cutting us, yet we ignore to repent?

We are just fooling one another about Grace and Truth, using the distributed talents of the HOLY SPIRIT and using the established sound doctrine written in whole to show off and fool one another.

Some of us have even become 'vicars' of CHRIST in our 'green' ranking, to justify who is wrong or who is right and ignore yhe HOLY SPIRIT of the New Covenant, serving CHRIST for GOD and HIS 'New Covenant people'.

Please do be angry with me nor content with me, for i am already tired of 'me' in the flesh/carnality, 'lukewarm' and continuing.

As it is written to those who believe in the MASTER's Words of spirit and life, according to the Gospel that;

'Whoever here have not sinned, may cast the first stone at her."

There were no one there dared cast any stones at her, because they by the Help of the words of the MESSIAH, learned to look upon themselves first according to the Law of Moses written in the Old Covenant.

Are we Christian without a written Covenant to considered them as spirit and life Law, for Kingdom family unity and orderliness guidance and all will be evaluated according to them in justification of 'righteousness of the New Covenant'(right standing with GOD)?

Why wait for rejection when the Light of the New Covenant shinning in our darkness of fleshly living and continuing?

Are we Gracefully and Truthfully sowing the seeds of the New Covenant of the Kingdom of GOD, given to CHRIST and the HOLY SPIRIT, established by the shedding of many bloods, even the reformer's who died unjustfully for the sake of us, for our spiritual knowledge and guidance or are we in our ignorance scattering them and continuing until today in blindness, blaming others for ruining, even the Catholics?

Can anyone feel the grieving of the HOLY SPIRIT of our hypocrisy of 'a Pharisee' of the New Covenant, who are ignoring and violating them, dependent on the forgiveness of sins and continuing in them.

Then why the forgiveness of sins is written according to the letter of Apostle John?

It is GOD's kindness says the LORD JESUS CHRIST, for weak Christian, so that in gloomy and sadness, they would learn and grow to 'sin no more'.

These are not given to Christian to have a vacation here on earth but to;

"Workout your salvation in fear and trembling,"

Ahead of time CHRIST have written all of this for GOD to awake from our slumber sleep, because HE knew those who want to enter while still remaining in the flash/carnality, into the Kingdom by their own.

This is given to me to consider day by day my walk with CHRIST according to the New Covenant, which GOD made with me and entrusted to me and to share freely, freely to my given family and i am only sharing with all of you in 'Agape'.

Thank you, GOD in CHRIST bless all and Good-by for now.

Don't you think Christians should never have a theological box? Isn't being a Christian giving up our fleshly minds and taking on the mind of Christ? That means we must be humbly open to scripture. I try to point out that some people close off a part of scripture, and I think all must be included and work together. I am told by some that means that scripture will put me in hell. They never speak of scripture, only of what of scripture they decide to cancel, saying scripture tells them to cancel another scripture. From these posts, I am sure the topic of the simplicity of Christ is to be told of only from a limited viewpoint, and anything that doesn't agree with a personal viewpoint is not acceptable. That is not a discussion, it is opening a window for what Christ said was murder. And it is scripture that gets murdered along with the person pointing out scripture.

No doubt...Jesus said it best...MANY will come before him claiming the following in his name..

1. Works
2. Ability to cast our demons
3. Prophesying in his name

Jesus said...I never knew you....he doesn't say that they didn't do those things listed, but rather I never knew you which goes to the ROOT of their stance...

They never were saved to begin with as they trusted in themselves instead of JESUS!

The work of the FATHER is to BELIEVE on him whom the FATHER has sent period!

Now lets get this...

1. FAITH is a SPIRITUAL GIFT<---cant be worked for
2. FAITH is OF GOD<----NOT of YOURSELF
3. JESUS has completed the WORK ALREADY and we enter into HIS REST in CHRIST

Like...don't you get it....the work is simply to believe and acknowledge! SIMPLICITY THAT IS IN CHRIST

Got a problem with Paul?
He was Jesus' chosen vessel to the gentiles...

Acts 16:31 And they (Paul and Silas) said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

That's as simple as it gets. :)

Wait... so your saying the "work" of the Father that Jesus said we must DO to enter the Kingdom is to believe ? So Believing IS a work after all ?
But then you say faith is a gift... ( which I agree with ), but you contradict yourself.

Jesus says WE MUST DO the will of the father, and your saying, " no Jesus, we cant "DO" the will of Him, because it just means faith and that is a gift"... Stop disagreeing with Christ.
