Mat 11:29
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
Mat 11:30
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Jesus Christ is teaching us to learn "of Him." If we learn only from others we fall into the danger of being burdened down, especially if we fall into the hands of Pharisees. The rest Jesus Christ gives to our souls is His light burden in teaching, it is not the Sabbath rest, for that is to come.

Below we are taught there remains (future) a rest to the people of God, and that we must labor to enter into that rest.

Heb 4:9
There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
Heb 4:10
For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
Heb 4:11
Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

We have not yet begun to reign with our King. Many speak and teach as though they have already begun to reign with Jesus Christ, yet they are not yet perfected. How can this be?
Yes we will all reign with Jesus Christ as is promised, but while we remain out of the Kingdom and in this age, we must work to enter into that rest. If you honestly believe you are resting, knowing all of this, then keep on resting, but remember the Children of God must work to enter into His rest.

So the labor must be to take My yoke upon you and learn of me, or to say pick up your cross of Christ and follow His footsteps.

Matthew 4:17) From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Mark 1:14) Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,
15 .) And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

Luke 17:20) And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
21 .) Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

Romans 14:17) For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

John 18:36 - Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

John 3:5 - Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and [of] the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Matthew 10:7 - And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
