A Christian is a person who has, by faith,
received and fully trusted in Jesus Christ as the only Savior
(
John 3:16; Acts 16:31; Ephesians 2:8-9).

Acts 11:26

And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

The fact is we are disciples of Christ....followers who adhere to, his word, his teachings ,his way of life
you have evidence in
Acts 16.....

[SUP]30 [/SUP]And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?

[SUP]31 [/SUP]And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

[SUP]32 [/SUP]And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.
[SUP]33 [/SUP]And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.

So, with this definition in mind, can a Christian lose salvation?
Perhaps the best way to answer this crucially important question
is to examine what the Bible says occurs at salvation,
and to study what losing salvation would therefore entail.
Here are a few examples:

first you have to define a disciple/follower of Christ...Christ was baptised and received the HS....If one does not do that they are not following Christ but doctrine of man

A Christian is a new creation.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation;
the old has gone, the new has come!” (
2 Corinthians 5:17).

This verse speaks of a person becoming an entirely new creature
as a result of being “in Christ.”
For a Christian to lose salvation,
the new creation would have to be canceled and reversed.

A new creature following Christ.....
[SUP]14 [/SUP]For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:

[SUP]15 [/SUP]And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.

A Christian is redeemed.
“For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold
that you were redeemed from the empty way of life
handed down to you from your forefathers,
but with the precious blood of Christ,
a lamb without blemish or defect” (
1 Peter 1:18-19).

The word “redeemed” refers to a purchase being made,
a price being paid.
For a Christian to lose salvation,
God Himself would have to revoke His purchase
that He paid for with the precious blood of Christ.

you want to believe that but the scripture teaches.....salvation can be neglected and there is a price to pay

Hebrews 2:2-4King James Version (KJV)
[SUP]2 [/SUP]For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;
[SUP]3 [/SUP]How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;
[SUP]4 [/SUP]God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?

A Christian is justified.
“Therefore, since we have been justified through faith,
we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” (
Romans 5:1).

To “justify” means to “declare righteous.
” All those who receive Jesus as Savior are “declared righteous” by God.
For a Christian to lose salvation,
God would have to go back on His Word
and “un-declare” what He had previously declared.
to declare righteous does not make you righteous until you die...else your evil becomes good...you are declared righteous that you should continue in righteousness...Christ died so that our sins could be remitted...we must now live our lives as he lived his...in obedience to God...

God is both willing and able to guarantee and maintain the salvation He has given us.

Jude 24-25,
“To Him who is able to keep you from falling
and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy
—to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority,
through Jesus Christ our Lord,
before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.”

God keeps us if we continue in his grace if we disobey and do our own thing we don't have that guarantee

You still miss the entire point:

It has nothing to do with "if we continue"; IT HAS EVERYTHING TO DO WITH "IF WE LOVE HIM".

THAT KIND OF AGAPE LOVE ONLY COMES WITH BEING BORN AGAIN, AND PURELY IS OF GOD, AND DOES NOT HINGE ON WHAT WE DO, BUT RATHER WHAT WE WILL DO, IF WE TRULY HAVE THAT AGAPE LOVE.

John 14:15 (HCSB)
[SUP]15 [/SUP] “If you love Me, you will keep My commands.

John 3:3 (HCSB)
[SUP]3 [/SUP] Jesus replied, “I assure you: Unless someone is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

John 3:6-7 (HCSB)
[SUP]6 [/SUP] Whatever is born of the flesh is flesh, and whatever is born of the Spirit is spirit.
[SUP]7 [/SUP] Do not be amazed that I told you that you must be born again.
Romans 5:5 (HCSB)
[SUP]5 [/SUP] This hope will not disappoint ⌊us⌋, because God’s love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

THEREFORE, it is NOT a question of how much you do obey, BUT RATHER, ARE YOU TRULY BORN AGAIN?

Or, are you still lord of your own life.

You only fall away, if you are NOT BORN AGAIN, which means you have not had the Holy Spirit come into your heart pouring GOD'S Agape LOVE into your heart and having your human spirit brought to ETERNAL LIFE.

Why do you make assumptions on people when you do not know.
I trust the Lord with all my heart, soul, and mind which is why I follow and obey His commands as He says one who loves and has faith in Him will do.
The thing is I am not going to lie to others and not warn them of the same warnings He and the Apostles gave us in the epistles about how believers can fall away. It would be a lie, and not biblical to say believe and then go on and live your life however you want and not to tell them to watch out for and lead away by false doctrine, and willful sin.

Lord Jesus said more than once in the gospel that those who are His will obey and keep His commandments, and that He is not your Lord if you do not do the things He said.

And you missed my point too. IT HAS NEVER been I HAVE TO KEEP, AND NEVER HAVE I SAID YOU CAN LIVE YOUR LIFE THE WAY YOU WANT. I WILL ALWAYS TELL OTHERS EXACTLY WHAT JESUS SAID:

John 14:15 (HCSB)
[SUP]15[/SUP] “If you love Me, you will keep My commands.

That kind of LOVE only comes from being BORN AGAIN, when the Holy Spirit pours the LOVE OF GOD into your heart, (Rom. 5:5); and it is that AGAPE LOVE that is OF GOD, that gives us the assurance that we WILL KEEP HIS COMMANDS. NO LOVE OF GOD in THEIR hearts, and YES, THEY are not Saved, and YES, THEY will fall away from being near to GOD. WHY? Because SALVATION is ONLY when we are Born Again, not just being near to GOD. One has to open the DOOR to his heart, before HE WILL COME IN. THAT IS WHEN THE SPIRIT OF JESUS HAS LITERALLY ENTERED US, AND WE HAVE LITERALLY BEEN IMMERSED INTO HIS SPIRITUAL BODY. Standing near to Him but refusing to let Him in as LORD (which means MASTER), is not SALVATION, but a watered down false gospel that you will fall away from. Falling Away is NOT a one time stumble into sin, it is rejecting Jesus Christ as LORD, which means MASTER. YES, we all have the potential to stumble, but the born again believer is instantly convicted of that sin, and WILL BE are filled with the desire to confess and repent of it. FALLING AWAY isn't even a Prodigal who WILL RETURN, it is a REJECTION of Jesus Christ as LORD, because you want to remain lord of your own life. THAT CANNOT HAPPEN TO A TRUE BELIEVER, BECAUSE CHRIST IS ALREADY IN US, AND WE ARE ALREADY IN HIM.

Revelation 3:19-20 (HCSB)

[SUP]19 [/SUP] As many as I love, I rebuke and discipline. So be committed and repent.
[SUP]20 [/SUP] Listen! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and have dinner with him, and he with Me.

THERE IS NO LOSING THAT, AND NO FALLING AWAY FROM THAT. The majority of the World wants a SAVIOR, BUT VERY FEW WANT A LORD TO RULE OVER THEIR LIVES.

Matthew 7:13-14 (HCSB)
[SUP]13 [/SUP] “Enter through the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the road is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who go through it.
[SUP]14 [/SUP] How narrow is the gate and difficult the road that leads to life, and few find it.

Those who fall away NEVER ENTERED THAT NARROW GATE.

While one is still living in their fleshly bodies, they have not entered that narrow gate either. If you have then you would be in the kingdom of heaven already.
In the flesh we still war within our selves just like Paul said. His fleshly body still had its desires that would pull him to do things of the world, but his new spiritual mind would pull him away from that. In other words he still had his fleshly desires, but he knew he could not give into them. The Holy Spirit helps in this area.

One can still decide not to listen to the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and this can happen at any point in one's walk in their faith. The Lord shows this with the parable of the sower and the seed, and then Paul and the other Apostles show this in their epistles.

Matthew 24:10-13
And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another. And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

James 1:12
Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.

2 Peter 2:20-22
For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first. For it would have been better for them never to have known the way of righteousness than after knowing it to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them. What the true proverb says has happened to them: “The dog returns to its own vomit, and the sow, after washing herself, returns to wallow in the mire.”

Hebrews 6:4-6
For it is impossible, in the case of those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and have shared in the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come, and then have fallen away, to restore them again to repentance, since they are crucifying once again the Son of God to their own harm and holding him up to contempt.

Hebrews 3:12-14
Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God. But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. For we have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original confidence firm to the end.

2 Timothy 4:2-8
Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths. As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry. For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure has come.

Romans 11:19-22
Then you will say, “Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in.” That is true. They were broken off because of their unbelief, but you stand fast through faith. So do not become proud, but fear. For if God did not spare the natural branches, neither will he spare you. Note then the kindness and the severity of God: severity toward those who have fallen, but God's kindness to you, provided you continue in his kindness. Otherwise you too will be cut off.

Wow, your opening statement is so Apostate-like, that I cannot believe it. Who taught you that false theology?

Matthew 7:13-14 (HCSB)
[SUP]13 [/SUP]“Enter through the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the road is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who go through it.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]How narrow is the gate and difficult the road that leads to life, and
few find it. {Implying that some certainly do find the Narrow Gate in these mortal bodies.}

Luke 13:24 (NKJV)
[SUP]24 [/SUP] "Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able. {Implying that some certainly do enter the Narrow Gate in these mortal bodies.}

That Narrow Gate is surrendering and willingly submitting to HIS Lordship over your life.

Matthew 7:21 (NKJV)
[SUP]21 [/SUP] "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. {Implying that entering the Narrow Gate certainly involves submitting to HIS Lordship over our lives.}

Matthew 7:22-27 (NKJV)
[SUP]22 [/SUP]Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?'
[SUP]23 [/SUP] And then I will declare to them, '
I never knew you {That inner personal LOVE relationship established when we submit to HIS Lordship; which is the Narrow Gate.}; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'
[SUP]24 [/SUP] "Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine,
and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house onthe rock: {The ROCK is JESUS CHRIST, and submitting to Him as LORD AND MASTER is entering the Narrow Gate.}
[SUP]25 [/SUP] and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.
[SUP]26 [/SUP] But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand:
[SUP]27 [/SUP] and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall."

1 John 2:4 (NKJV)
[SUP]4 [/SUP] He who says, "I know Him,"{That inner personal LOVE relationship established when we submit to HIS Lordship; which is the Narrow Gate.} and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

The perfect tense of that word keep implies a lifestyle of striving to keep, and what do we do when we fail? We return to the perfect tense of the word CONFESS in 1 John 1:9.

While one is still living in their fleshly bodies, they have not entered that narrow gate either. If you have then you would be in the kingdom of heaven already.

Mark 1:15 (NASB)
[SUP]15 [/SUP] and saying, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel."

Luke 17:20 (ESV)
[SUP]20 [/SUP] Being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, he answered them, The kingdom of God is not coming in ways that can be observed,

Luke 18:22-24 (HCSB)
[SUP]22 [/SUP] When Jesus heard this, He told him, “You still lack one thing: Sell all that you have and distribute it to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow Me.”
[SUP]23 [/SUP] After he heard this, he became extremely sad, because he was very rich.
[SUP]24 [/SUP] Seeing that he became sad, Jesus said,“How hard it is for those who have wealth to enter the kingdom of God!

The KINGDOM OF GOD BEGINS with willingly stepping down as king of our own lives, and GIVING THAT THRONE TO JESUS CHRIST as LORD AND MASTER of our lives. That young rich man walked away from the Kingdom of GOD beginning in his life that very day.

Luke 18:16-17 (ISV)
[SUP]16 [/SUP] Jesus, however, called for them and said, "Let the little children come to me, and stop keeping them away. For the kingdom of God belongs to people like these.
[SUP]17 [/SUP] Truly I tell you, whoever doesn't receive the kingdom of God as a little child will never get into it at all."

A little child, BELIEVES without any DOUBT, yet you have doubt if your Salvation is secure. AND THAT LAST VERSE MAKES IT PERFECTLY CLEAR THAT THE KINGDOM OF GOD CAN BE RECEIVED HERE ON EARTH IN OUR MORTAL BODIES. IN FACT THE KINGDOM OF GOD ENTERING IN US, IS WHEN THE HOLY SPIRIT BRINGS OUR ONCE DEAD HUMAN SPIRITS TO ETERNAL LIFE.

Colossians 2:13 (HCSB)
[SUP]13 [/SUP] And when you were dead in trespasses and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive with Him and forgave us all our trespasses.

1 John 3:14-15 (ESV)
[SUP]14 [/SUP] We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brothers. Whoever does not love abides in death.
[SUP]15 [/SUP] Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.

1 John 5:11 (HCSB)
[SUP]11 [/SUP] And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.

John 11:26 (HCSB)
[SUP]26 [/SUP] Everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die—ever. Do you believe this?”

John 6:47 (NASB)
[SUP]47 [/SUP] "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes has eternal life. {"HAS" NOT will have. Now which part of you will never die? Is that not the beginning of the Kingdom of GOD in your life?}

Conditions of Forgiveness:
Jesus recognized that there are conditions to be fulfilled
before forgiveness can be granted.

Forgiveness is part of a mutual relationship;
the other part is the repentance of the offender.

God does not forgive without repentance,

nor is it required of man.

The effect of forgiveness is to restore to its former state

the relationship which was broken by sin.
Such a restoration requires the cooperation of both parties.
There must be both a granting

and an acceptance of the forgiveness.

Sincere, deep-felt sorrow for the wrong
which works repentance
(2Corth. 7:9,10,11)
9 Now I rejoice, not because you were grieved,
but because your grief led to repentance.
For you were grieved as God willed,
so that you didn’t experience any loss from us.
10 For godly grief produces a repentance
not to be regretted
and leading to salvation,

but worldly grief produces death.
11 For consider how much diligence this very thing—
this grieving as God wills—
has produced in you: what a desire to clear yourselves,
what indignation, what fear, what deep longing,

what zeal, what justice!
In every way you showed yourselves
to be pure in this matter.

It Is the condition of mind which insures

the acceptance of the forgiveness.
Hence, Jesus commands forgiveness
when the offender turns again, saying,
"I repent" (Lu 17:3,4). 3 So watch yourselves.
If your brother or sister sins against you,
rebuke them;

and if they repent, forgive them.
4 Even if they sin against you seven times in a day
and seven times come back to you
saying ‘I repent,’ you must forgive them.”

Again Where is the Words "water baptism" ?????
For the forgiveness of Sins .....
Not in the verses of Scripture...

When was Peter Baptized?

I have a better question for you:

When was every conversation and event recorded in our Bible?

NEVER, we only have the Highlights of all of human history, including the lives of the Jesus, the Prophets, and the Apostles:

John 21:25 (NKJV)
[SUP]25 [/SUP] And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. Amen.

1 John 2:19 (GW)
[SUP]19 [/SUP] They left us. However, they were never really part of us. If they had been, they would have stayed with us. But by leaving they made it clear that none of them were part of us.

TRUE Christians have done a LOT MORE than TASTED. That is what those on the Broad Road did, they ONLY Tasted.

WE have Totally TAKEN HIM IN. As far as the term SHARED, you forget, when the Holy Spirit chooses to BLESS the Congregation, an unbeliever in a pew that day, gets the splash effect, just by being there, thus SHARED in the Holy Spirit is NOT THE SAME AS RECEIVED THE HOLY SPIRIT IN THEM.

1 John 2:19 (GW)
[SUP]19 [/SUP] They left us. However, they were never really part of us. If they had been, they would have stayed with us. But by leaving they made it clear that none of them were part of us.

The POTENTIAL to Fall Away, is exactly the same as:
THE POSSIBILITY THEY FAILED TO COME THROUGH THE NARROW GATE TO BE BORN AGAIN.
