....it is better to just pursue God for what He wants you to be 'bothered' about; that way, you will never find yourself wasting your time, and you'll have peace.
Good point! Also explains why I didn't watch the video and why I've lost interest in this thread.

Still not accurate, but closer to Isaiah 11:6...

The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them.

After reading this I realized there is no point in trying to discuss anything with you. If you actually believe that, you need to have your head examined. Because:
1) It never said that
2) It never did that
3) That would be impossible to do

Where people get this stuff and these made up numbers, I have no idea. How someone like yourself who is capable to writing could believe it is even more surprising.
We all believe what we believe. I think maybe you should examine the things the video claims. Your "you need to have your head examined" reveals a little too much about your own head and your own heart. And yes, I do believe what the video says overall. If you wait around for facts to be perfect before you believe them, you will never get anything done.

Right on. This is a tactic used by people who have weak arguments. It's something I even see on quite a few other threads and topics on this website, and I'm dismayed by it.
Yes, I'm aware of it. Hate for others is a sign of superiority in our day, therefore, Christians continue to apply it. No one of the people who've attacked me personally (instead of at the very least attacking the people whose information I post) can actually sit down and meet me in a discussion. They can debate and argue, which I won't do (it shows such a depth of inferiority that if people who do it knew their inferiority was really what was on display, they would stop immediately); but if anyone wants to actually sit down and talk about any issue (and that includes issues the Bible never directly addresses), then I will talk with them. If their pride doesn't surface to defend them, they will often come away amazed instead of trying to convince themselves (and me) that I'm lacking somewhere. Lol. Christians, coming from a prideful society, are prideful themselves. Rather than bowing out of a discussion, some of them will go on the attack in order to hide their own feelings of inferiority. When people can't humbly say, "I don't understand" and their questions tend instead to disdain, mockery, and sarcasm, then no one is really learning and everyone is really pushing their own viewpoint and pet doctrines.

It's like my thread on the evil effects of coffee on Christians (i.e. the way coffee tends to draw out the flesh and all its lusts when Christians gather together and drink it) and how I said to research it for oneself; if you will take a little time to go through the threads on this Bible forum, you will see in a hurry that people will attack people they don't agree with rather than discuss or just state that they disagree. In their immense pride and inferiority, they actually believe that they are superior because they hate, resent, are bitter, and are aggressive. Knowing well this very sub-human type of thinking, it is needless for me to answer such people in kind. When Christians go on the attack, they are often really defending their pride, their hurt ego, and their insecurities. Why waste time responding to such people if I have no pride, hurt ego, or insecurity to defend. Maybe one day I will write a book called 'When Christians Go On the Attack' that explains how Christians think and why Christians fight. (That might start nationwide church wars.)

James says Christians fight because they want something and don't have it. That's the summary of the thing: "I want to be smarter/smartest; I want to know more; I want, I want, I want." When they see someone who has what they want or don't have, they are ready to go on the attack. This is how the Christians of Jesus' day (the religious leaders) were with Him, and history always repeats itself. It's not quantum physics; it's carnal Christianity-- the religious spirit. Such people can never ask real questions, especially when they meet someone who seems to be much 'better than them'. Asking questions to these people is the same as saying, "I don't know; I'm lacking; I need help from someone who is superior to me." But God calls asking questions "humble". He knows the hearts of such people: they are self-centered, and anything they get or have or want (even Bible knowledge) is meant to use for themselves. But even when God is on to the religious and hateful and exposes their hearts, their pride and sense of entitlement do not lead them to repent even under the light of His exposure. Here is the Bible's 'disclosure' for the sum reason why Christians fight and argue and its factual statement that it is Christians whose anti-God desires within surface in outward fighting-- who live for themselves (want to glorify their skills, knowledge, desires, etc.) instead of God-- who have these problems:

"Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members? You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask, that you may spend it on your pleasures... Do you not know that friendship with the world (self-centeredness) is enmity with God? Whoever, therefore, wants to be a friend of the world (whoever wants to be like the world-- i.e. self-centered)makes himself an enemy of God... But He gives more Grace. Therefore, He says, 'God resists the proud but gives Grace to the humble'" (Jas. 4:1-6).

Why would you place your faith in a man rather than the Christ. It makes no sense

Actually, you "make no sense".
Catholics place their faith only in Jesus Christ who is their Lord and Savior and God.

If you asked your mom to pray for you to Jesus our Lord then would you consider that as "placing your faith only in her"?

Of course not.
Mary is not my mother and, as for my mother, I don't build statues of her and pray to her.

I dont think statues are an issue... God had the ark of the covenant made with statues of golden angels, and the temple walls built with engraved angels etc as well. Not to mention every protestant church I know of has statues of Mary as well... they just keep them in the attic until december rolls around...

As far as praying to anyone but God, thats another matter

Your posts were deleted? Why? I tried to post about Alberto Rivera who defected from the Catholic church and exposed its heresies, corruption, and conspiracies, and it took three attempts to finally post. I'd never had that problem posting before.

For people who say that Catholics are Christians and Catholics who deny extra-biblical practices, I read a news report ("I saw Joseph Ratzinger [Emeritus Pope Benedict XVI] murder a little girl", Eyewitness saysVatican CrimesVATICAN CRIMES) and came across a CBS report on the Catholic church there.

The video below is about the Catholic church and its beliefs overall, not about individual Catholics. The teachings of the Catholic church are not biblical, and some of them, for which most priests even cannot give a good answer, are addressed in the video. CBS reported:

My Mom is with the Lord. I think of her but I have never in almost 30 years prayed to her. I really think that those who pray to departed souls have no vision of what it is like in the presence of God. This world is filled with sin. This world is far too vile a place for those who have shed all this sin to behold ever again. Departed souls in Christ are filled with His presence and delight in the perfection of His person. I can not imagine anything in this earth that could distract one from the blessing of worshipping in the perfect presence of my risen Lord and Savior.

Eye hath not seen nor ear heard nor entered in to the heart of man the things God has prepared for them who love Him. 1 Cor 2:9

Mary not your mother???

Mary is not my mother
You fail to realize then the fullness of the Christian revelation given to us by our Lord Jesus Christ.
From the cross Jesus gave his beloved mother to us, to be our mother too! It is such a beautiful scene.

"When Jesus saw his mother, and the disciple whom he loved standing near, he said to his mother, 'Woman, behold, your son!'. Then he said to the disciple, 'Behold, your mother!’" (Jn 19:26-27).

These moving words are a "revelation scene": they reveal the deep sentiments of the dying Christ and contain a great wealth of meaning for Christian faith and spirituality. At the end of his earthly life, as he addressed his Mother and the disciple he loved, the crucified Messiah establishes a new relationship of love between Mary and Christians.

She is ours and we are hers!

Praise God, who loves us and cares so deeply for us! Yet you deprive yourself of that love by refusing what he gave on that cross to you.

As usual your interpretation misses the mark by a million miles. Jesus was fulfilling the OT law by taking care of Mary's needs here on the earth. A woman needed to be under the authority of a man. Jesus did not neglect His mother's welfare. Even in this little detail Jesus fulfilled the law and Jewish tradition.

The apostles and disciples were exhorted to tend to the widows and to not neglect their care and well being. Very different social structure back then but perhaps it was in a way better than what we have now. Ever notice how many elderly are in nursing homes and never receive a visit from their families?
