So last night I had a little discussion with God, I didnt know if I was doing what he wanted me to be doing or not I was clueless. So I told him that I need him to tell me his will, I told him how this life this faith is all for him but I cannot read his mind and if he needs to to do something i need him to tell me if i needed to change something or give up something I needed him to tell me. Basically i wanted to know and do his will. I then had a dream last night I dont remember most of it but I do remember this, I was outside and there were these very dark very ominous clouds covering the sky very quicky. it was broad daylight sun shining but these clouds were covering the sky at a very unusual pace. I was running and I saw some ppl sitting in a small group they told me the news said the rapture was going to happen.

I have heard that so much that I honestly cant really believe it even in the dream I said ya right and went on my way. it started pouring but the water didnt bother me which is weird because I hate being in the rain. I was talking to myself saying if and when the rapture happens I will be ready, I then said or at least I sure hope I am as I dont think I am worthy to go home. I dont know why i had this dream I havent thought about the rapture for a while and all I did was ask for God to tell me his will. I dont know if this dream is from God but I thought there had to be at least one person here with the Gift of dream interpretation so I need help. Is this dream from God? and is it somehow him telling me his will?

I don't know meanings of dreams but I can give a little friendly advise in that it is good to always be ready since we don't know when Jesus will return it is best to be right with God now today this very minute but you already know that. We don't know if we will walk across a street and be hit by a car so being ready is a constant thing then it won't matter when the Lord returns as you are ready at any time. Blessings to you and in your walk with Jesus.

Only way to test to see if its from God is to put on your armor and use your sword... If it still stands after attacking it with your sword then its from God...
That is the only way I know how to discern if a message is from God...

I also want to caution you of telling people your dream and then asking for an interpretation... There are a lot of people here who practice Witch Craft and 'seeing'...

I can not discern dreams...

But I do agree with the post above, Jesus will come like a thief in the night... And only those who are constantly ready and on the look out will be prepared to receive Him..

rain is God's mercy, and it falls on the righteous and the wicked alike.

are you worried that your works are not enough to earn salvation?
no one's are; salvation too is God's mercy, and He will soak anyone in it that puts their trust in Him.
are you afraid of judgement?
God is merciful to us that believe in the Son - He has removed our transgressions and condemnation.
the rain cannot sting you and make you cold anymore - it is to be rejoiced over, thankful for His refreshment.

whatever you do for God, do for the love of God & his righteousness, not for an umbrella to keep you from being judged. if we judge ourselves, and walk in the spirit, we are not subject to judgement, because all judgement belongs to Christ, and if He is in us, His own counsel through the spirit leads us to righteousness, even His righteousness, not of ourselves but as the scriptures put it, putting on Christ like a cloak

Well I do wish I could do more for him but no its not my works that concerns me its how much I am lacking him. I dont see myself as good enough to go home because no matter how i wish I wasnt i am lacking in love, kindness and everything he is. I see him and who he is and I want to be just like him but seeing how unlike him I am I have a sort of self loathing. So i just do my best to be like him everyday

Who was more justified before God? The Pharisee who was righteous and thought he was better than everyone else, or the Tax Collector who cried out to God to have mercy on him? (See Luke 18:9-14). John says, if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). See, it is admitting our sin to God that gets us right with Him and can clean us like the rain in your dream (Whereby God can then move and act within our lives more so as to do His will). Pray what David did in Psalm 51. Let the Lord's merciful rain clean you before the dark storm of His judgment comes upon this world. Stay humble before Him and walk after the Spirit always. For there is no "Condemnation" who are in Christ Jesus who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit (Romans 8:1). Can you say you walk after the Spirit (God) every day? Do you feel you have fallen short of God's glory? Not to worry, my friend. The Savior can save us. He can clean you so that you can walk after Him as a way of life, my friend. For repentance is what prevented Judgment from falling upon the people of Nineveh. You can be among them and not feel that Judgment is coming any longer. Just call upon the Lord and cry out to Him to have mercy on you and He will make all things new for your life.

I also want to add this concerning repentance, too.

Luke 15:7

"I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance."

I can kinda see where your coming from... But isn't the act of God sending rain to the righteous and unrighteous mercy, and not the rain being merciful. Matthew 7:25 Uses rain as a testing of faith... Not mercy...
Perhaps this then.

Titus 3:5
"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;"

Also, in John chapter 4: Jesus told the woman at the well that he had life giving water to give to her. This life giving water is obviously eternal life when she would repent of her sins and accept Jesus as her Savior. In addition, Ephesians 5:25-26, Christ sanctifies the church with the washing of the water of the Word. In other words, whenever someone in the church sins, the Word of God rebukes them and they repent and get their heart right with God. Christ (God) will use His Word to cleanse us. For that is how we have our faith. For faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17).

Water baptism (Which is not for salvation) is a symbol or picture of what Christ did for us. Being submerged in water symbolizes his crucifixion of our old man by the fact that our sins have been washed clean by his blood and being raised out of the water symbolizes our new resurrected life in Him.

I think it is good to be hard on ourselves and to take our problems to God. For he that judges himself shall be accepted of Him. However, the person who just throws up their arms and says that nobody is perfect and God has saved me is not really checking their spiritual pulse with God. We have to admit our faults before God so as to receive the rain of his cleansing mercy. It is the only way. For when we are broken before Him is when God can then reshape us and remold us into His image.

For Judas was sorry for what he did. But he was not sorry towards God, though. It was a selfish worldly sorow; And not a Godly sorrow. For Godly sorrow works repentance to salvation not to be repented of (2 Corinthians 7:10).
