OK, so I know there are quite a few who say that the commandments are done away with etc, I would like to know how do you explain the following?

Revelation 22:

12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Everything in the bible is not God's words. Jesus' words are what is used to determine them. Again there's a law that says those who rapes a female must marry her and pay her father off. Did this stand forever?

HIS commandments (v. 14) are not done away with...

'Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets;
I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.'

(Matthew 5: 17 / NIV)

Jesus fulfilled the requirements of the OT commandments - and that is why in Isaiah it is said that He clothes us with His robe of righteousness. He is our righteousness! Yet, from Jesus speaking in the gospels on through the letters to the church, we are told to love one another as He has loved us. And if you think about it, if you do that, you are fulfilling the intent of the old laws. And even if we don't love perfectly (which because of our nature, we won't), he gives us His mercy.

Also, knowing that we will always struggle with our sinful nature, He gives us His Holy Spirit to indwell us to help us, giving us His strength and heart to love.

Flame please to not make false accusations about the bible, every single bit of it is Gods holy word. The bible is far more sacred and powerful than you know, I have seen what a single scripture can do I have seen the power that flows in its pages. Believe me when I say that book more precious than any gold and more powerful than a nuke

The Word went into there hearts some produced a hundred fold, some sixty, some thirty. And many that are first will be last, and many that are last will be first.

So rapists still marry their victims. Look I won't argue, I know most here worship a book. Just saying we were commanded to ONLY hear Jesus. He is the divider of what is from God and will stand forever and that which is of man and passes away.

What amazes me is that most take the Bible literally and assume every word to be true but ignore these rules we when something comes along which challenges their established doctrines. Christ said that ALL who came before Him were thieves and robbers. Who's excluded from all?

If the bible challenges or contridicts my doctrine or believe the answer is simple, I dont have a true understanding of the scripture or my doctrine is wrong, you either take the whole word of God as true or not at all

You're just confused I understand. On the other thread all men were born evil and you cant change it, now those same men who wrote, revised, included and excluded information out of the bible is infallible?
Just be honest with your self.

Matthew 22:

36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

OK, how do you explain verse 40

I understand that, its just that I've read many post of people who claim that, and such. So I was wondering how they come up with that conclusion.

I do. Just saying that I know every word did not come from the Father. That is why we are to DIVIDE the word
of truth. Why do you have to divide one truth? Because all of it is not truth.

I never said men were born evil I said they are sinful in nature. Flame I have spoken with you lots of times and from what I can see you are misinformed and lacking understanding about things. Plus you refuse to listen to reason, in your mind your always right and say things about people that is uncalled for.

I know the truth about the bible because I asked God to show me and show me he did, I spend every waking hour seeking him out craving and thirsting for his heart and this is why he rewards me by showing me the deep and hidden secrets of his heart. I am not better than anyone or more wise or even more spiritually mature but I am willing to listen to reason, i know when admit I was wrong and leave a fantasy that I created.

Honestly I have been so patient with you hoping you would listen or at least consider what all of us have been saying but still you harden your heart

The command is to love. We love God. How do we know? We can't see Him. We tell by how one loves his neighbor. Jesus loved without prejudice. We are to follow Him and do the same.

I'm saying I've been where you are at. Just remember that those men who wrote it has a sinful nature too.

And where is it Im at? I dont get what your saying about that. and yes they had a sinful nature but God chooses who he pleases and they had accepted him and loved him deeply so of course he uses them
