Today I ran across some scripture and granted I have been asking God to show me the things to come and I believe he does sometimes answer with scripture But I wanted to get everyone elses opinion of it as I am not comfortable believing God was speaking to me because of my own interpretation.

Zephaniah 1:14-2:3 The Great day of the Lord-
[SUP]14 [/SUP]The great day of the Lord is near—
near and coming quickly.
The cry on the day of the Lord is bitter;
the Mighty Warrior shouts his battle cry.
[SUP]15 [/SUP]That day will be a day of wrath—
a day of distress and anguish,
a day of trouble and ruin,
a day of darkness and gloom,
a day of clouds and blackness—
[SUP]16 [/SUP] a day of trumpet and battle cry
against the fortified cities
and against the corner towers.

[SUP]17 [/SUP]“I will bring such distress on all people
that they will grope about like those who are blind,
because they have sinned against the Lord.
Their blood will be poured out like dust
and their entrails like dung.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]Neither their silver nor their gold
will be able to save them
on the day of the Lord’s wrath.”

In the fire of his jealousy
the whole earth will be consumed,
for he will make a sudden end
of all who live on the earth.

2 Gather together, gather yourselves together,
you shameful nation,
[SUP]2 [/SUP]before the decree takes effect
and that day passes like windblown chaff,
before the Lord’s fierce anger
comes upon you,
before the day of the Lord’s wrath
comes upon you.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]Seek the Lord, all you humble of the land,
you who do what he commands.
Seek righteousness, seek humility;
perhaps you will be sheltered
on the day of the Lord’s anger

So with that what do you think? Exactly how close do you think this is and are we spiritually ready?

The Day of the Lord, The Day of Christ and the Day of God are one day with all three aspects...and commences at the 7th trump in Revelation where you will find the following...

1. As Lord Jesus seizes control of all earthly Kingdoms
2. As Christ He resurrects and changes the saints to be rewarded in the air
3. As God he pours out his wrath on the unbelieving world under the beast and his kingdom

Chapter 11...At the sounding of the 7th trump TIME shall be no more...

1. Time runs out for the world as the end has come
2. Time runs out for the saved as they are translated into their eternal state
3. Time runs out for the beast and his kingdom of the lost as God pours out his wrath without mixture........

One day that lasts a thousand years as Jesus is Lord, Christ and God!

This is true, God has been showing me that time is short and He is coming soon as well.

We talking the Great Trib. The Church will be up up and away on that Day. Not destined for Gods wrath...see vs 15 & 17.

"The day of the LORD" generally means forthcoming judgment of God upon nations; in Zephaniah 1, it was judgment upon Judah and Jerusalem. The phrase does not necessarily suggest an event that will occur at the end of the world.

Lol. This is the day I have warned about! The worldwide economy will collapse! The ALL CAPS name and all versions of it will be burned with fire simply meaning they will no longer exist. 2 men in the field, one is taken and the other is left.

If I may, expanding on that, yes, the day of the Lord comes after the rapture of the church. What is the day of the Lord? Not a single day, but a solemn time of judgment that comes as a surprise to the world.

1 Thessalonians 5:2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. The day of the Lord will come to an unsuspecting world, a world warned, as in the time of Noah, but an unbelieving world (2 Peter 3:3-6). Sound familiar?

The day of the Lord is a surety and our world is on a collision course with judgment,

Joel 2:1-2 Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand; a day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.

Matthew 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

The world will be pregnant with judgment,

1 Thessalonians 5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

The day of the Lord is the tribulation period of the apocalypse (tribulation which will become most severe in the middle of the seven year period of the apocalypse), the "time of Jacob's trouble," Daniel's final week, which can only begin at the exact time ordained by God, not by any conspiracy or efforts of men and devils, begins when our Lord Jesus opens the first seal, in the presence of His redeemed saints, taken out of the world (Revelation 5).

With all the conspiracy "theology" afloat out there, it's important to see the tribulation begins only when God ordains, not when man develops some chip, not by some elitist conspiracy, etc. Only God is in real control, the Creator, not the creature: the Antichrist cannot rise by his own power. This is the substance of many sensational book sales to the gullible, but not Biblical. Everything will continue as always with the sloven, fallen world and system of Satan, restrained (2 Thessalonians 2:7-8), until our Lord pulls the plug, not Satan or scheming men.
