I met this person a while back on another forum, he was convinced that we humans can be perfect sinless and pure with no spots or wrinkles. He said he had no sin and was perfect. Perfection is something mankind has sought after for ages yet never achieved it, The bible says to be perfect but im pretty sure its meaning to strive to be perfect not actually being perfect.

I mean if you want to be perfect in a fleshly body that will harbor the disease called sin until you die thats gonna be a hard order to fill. Here is my take on it, Perfection as a human being-impossible it cant be done its nothing more than an illusion many have chased yet never caught.

If you want perfection in a fleshly body, you better be nouveau riche and be prepared to spend thousands of dollars on botox and collagen injections, boob jobs, butt jobs, nose jobs, lip injections, et cetera, et cetera!! Perfection is impossible for any human being, and anyone who says otherwise is a liar because Romans 3:23 states, "For all have sinned and fallen short of God's glory"!! ALL HAVE SINNED. ​We can try to live as godly a life as imperfect humans can, but not one of us will ever attain true real perfection such as Jesus had.

1 John 1:8-10 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

I agree with blue_ladybug on this one. If we could achieve perfection alone there would have been no need for the perfect man to have walked among us.

Agreed, Christ alone was perfect. Paul said; "All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3;23).

"If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us" (1 John 1; 8-10).

I agree and will also add....

If I remember right the word perfection carries the idea of being complete and or mature.....just a thought or two to ponder......
