Bibles Codes are only to glorify God's Word and to show that is God's divinely inspired Word and that is perfect and without error. Bible Codes should not be used to figure out what you are going to have for lunch tomorrow or for what is going to happen that will be a part of major History. Scripture forbids us to divine the future by some spiritualistic means. Bible Codes should not be used to glorify ourselves or our president, either. Maybe the Bible does speak on these things. We don't know. However, God will reveal all these to us in time (If it is for us to know on matters that do not pertain to doctrine and the faith). But we have to understand that the Bible testifies of itself. In us studying God's Word, it testifies of itself with cross references. The Bible Codes testify that the Scriptures are divine and true and that it is indeed the Word of God.

Numerology is a form of witchcraft. You don't need codes. The mystery of the Bible has already been revealed and it is Jesus Christ.

"the mystery hidden for ages and generations but now revealed to his saints. 27 To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory." Col. 1:26-27

there was a word for this form of divination before it was sinfully applied to the bible and renamed 'bible codes'...

the older name is 'literomancy'...divination by letters and words...

Well it certainly isnt life changing and I have to have the ability to read hebrew and have to buy a 50 dollar coding software to fully be able to do the bible code but for free I can do a smaller search by simply searching specific words.
For instance remember how I said Blain is found 64 times in the bible? well in one of the places my name is in the words Blain love God is in it

The reason I couldnt figure out how it works is because I had the wrong idea about it, I see now how its impossible to do this bible code without a computer so my op is basically a bunch of me misunderstanding how to do the bible code.
But using the software I have i found lots of little messages like that but to find an actually prophetic message I would need to know hebrew and have a fifty dollar software

Blain, don't let us old folks discourage you too much.

I don't think there's really any secret code in God's Word,
but if, when we get Home, He says there is one,
boy will my face be red. lol

Prolly more important to see the Words He's actually saying than to search for hidden words.
But as young believers, we all made some mistakes.
And as an old believer, I'm still making them.

(and yes, i'm the only one allowed to call myself an old believer!)

No, counting numbers is what the Bible tells you to do. How so?

Well, the Bible says the number 6 is the number of a man in Revelation 13 and that threescore of that is the mark of the Beast (666). It also tells us within this chapter to count this number as a part of wisdom. Why? So that we may understand what this number means. In fact, did you know that the 666th chapter in the Bible (Ecclesiastes 7) talks about the same thing in Revelation 13?

Ecclesiastes 7:23-29
"All this have I proved by wisdom: I said, I will be wise; but it was far from me. That which is far off, and exceeding deep, who can find it out? I applied mine heart to know, and to search, and to seek out wisdom, and the reason of things, and to know the wickedness of folly, even of foolishness and madness: And I find more bitter than death the woman, whose heart is snares and nets, and her hands as bands: whoso pleaseth God shall escape from her; but the sinner shall be taken by her. Behold, this have I found, saith the preacher, counting one by one, to find out the account: Which yet my soul seeketh, but I find not: one man among a thousand have I found; but a woman among all those have I not found. Lo, this only have I found, that God hath made man upright; but they have sought out many inventions."

Revelation 13:16-18
"And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six."

In other words, what are the odds of the above parallel happening by random chance? Ecclesiastes 7 is the 666th chapter of the Bible and Revelation 13 one speaks of the number of the Beast (666) (Of which we are told to count the number so as to have understanding).

Do you think Stephen Langton, and Robert Stephanus worked together?

Also, if you know anything about Bible Numbers, they all have one major primary meaning to them. What are the odds that certain numbers in the Bible keep saying the same thing? Here is just one example of understanding the meaning behidn the many appears of the Number 40:

I believe the Matrix is pretty self explanatory. Their brains were hooked up to a digital simulation when they were doing the karate stuff. When you see the characters on the ship and or being attacked by tentacles metal robots, they were in the real world. The robots were sucking off the bodily fluids of the humans and kept them in suspended animation and kept their brains active with a digital simulation (i.e. the Matrix).

My encouragment is not to glorify yourself, or try to divine the future, or glorify world events, but you should only use the software to glorify God and His Word alone.

This is what it comes down to. Does it glorify the Risen Christ? Can it trace it's authority back to Jesus and Jesus alone? Test the spirits Blain, I know you from your beginning here, I know the spiritual connection you have, and frankly the thought of you pursuing it sets my spidey senses atingle. Test the spirits Blain. Do they glorify Christ.

For example: It would glorify God if you used the softward to look up "God is love" because it is a a part of actual Scripture. In other words, glorify God's Word alone with the software my friend. Any personal endeavors with it would be a fruitless exercise.

... and yes, i'm the only one allowed to call myself an old believer!
Yesterday a kindergarten student asked me my age. I told her sixty-two. Then she asked, "Does that mean you're old?"

I have one more. A couple of years ago, first thing in the morning, I was walking down the primary hallway and passed a little girl in grade two putting on her indoor shoes. As I walked by she looked up and in the sincerest of voices said, "My mother's a hairdresser. She could make you look younger."

I could go on, but I'll stop there. Just wanted to share. :)

I think there might actually be hidden meaning in scripture, though the only numerology, in the New Testament, might be that found in Revelation. It might well be that the author intended to hide his meaning from unfriendly eyes?

It's well accepted, I think, that some of the words of Jesus were intended to be understood differently by insiders in the faith. Paul too, might have been using language in such a way that the initiated would take his full meaning while others would only grasp what was lying directly on the surface.

Great film! However, in a truly great movie there is always a layer that lies beneath the surface for those who have the eyes to see, and the ears to hear. Neo is presented as a Christ figure.

My friend this was merely me investigating this stuff, as I said before im not going to become obsessed with it and I cant allow myself to focus on this more than God. I investigated and i found its no big deal, its interesting sure but not really worth my time.

I thought the machines were sucking off the energy created by the human bodies, not the bodily fluids. What would machines want with our fluids? Human batteries is how they described it, a source of electrical power to run the machines. The Matrix was a mind game of sorts to keep the humans 'active' and producing. The rebels were able to tap into this mind game.

Any Matrix experts out there care to elaborate?

Bibles Codes are only to glorify God's Word and to show that is God's divinely inspired Word and that is perfect and without error. Bible Codes should not be used to figure out what you are going to have for lunch tomorrow or for what is going to happen that will be a part of major History. Scripture forbids us to divine the future by some spiritualistic means. Bible Codes should not be used to glorify ourselves or our president, either. Maybe the Bible does speak on these things. But we have to understand that the Bible testifies of itself. In us studying God's Word, it testifies of itself with cross references. The Bible Codes testify that the Scriptures are divine and true and that it is indeed the Word of God.
Say, Jason, I can't find anywhere in the bible where it says the word of God is perfect... 'pure' is the word I find a lot... do you know of any places? thanks...

Three score x 6= 60x6 = 360 not 666.
As far Ecclesiastes 7 being the 666th chapter remember the Hebrew bible had a different book arrangement.
