This is a post I saw on and atheist forum website:

"High tides have hit the lives of my wife and I. 9 months ago we left religion. 3 months ago I fell ill, was hospitalized and lost my job, and consequently had to move in with my believing in-laws.
But, after 3 months of living with our in-laws, my wife and I have been given an ultimatum. "Convert or move out." I don't know where to turn. We only know believers, our only family are believers. I'm tired of being a secular family (my wide and I) among believers.
Their help always comes with strings attached, but if in four weeks, things don't get better, my wife and I will have to leave school and work to live with my parents who live in a small town an hour and a half from here. I am thankful that they have offered to take us in, but I am afraid to be in the same situation again.

The judgments are heavy, by patience has gone thin, and we have no secular friends to turn to. We have no money and find it hard to travel 20 miles to meet with secularists.I never thought that being atheist was good enough to make someone homeless. I'm almost confused, as if I live in a dream.
I never fathomed such hate and apathy could be applied for a simple lack of belief. Where do I go? Where do I turn? We are out of the house by the 30th of this month. Help."

I understand that this Is an extreme case but this is a wrong attitude to have towards anyone. The church needs to become more loving in genral if anyone is going to take us seriously. I am not saying that everyone is like this, most people aren't, but we all must remember to love with the love of Christ.

God Bless,
Dave

you are complaining about people who are far advanced in life,,(my in-laws,,move in with my family),,,,,,"it's the tiddy bottle affect"(no offense),,,stand up as an adult for your own self and come back and ask us the questions when you are standing on your own feet(ready to be able to be married, stand on your own ect.),,,until then I agree with your in-laws and your parents,,,,,,,(I meant what I said not to offend you),,

Why did they post that on an atheist forum...to drum up support from their fellow 'no help' atheists?
I find it manipulative.

Yeah most churches now days are mainly forthe greed.
there alot of false pastor who is trying to raise alot of church offering
just so they could use it for themselves.
thete is alot of hate in the churches. too many gossip, the church people talking
Bad echother judge them. and people leaving the church's because
of it.
So people change their beliefs on Christianity because of the whole religion.
and start living an unsaved life. without really know god.
there is a difference of going to church for god.
you don't have to go to chuch to be saved.
but be saved in christ.

And you based that all off an O.P. that stated that they are living with their In-laws and are faced with moving in with their parents,,,,,
"Thats the duuuuuhhhh affect,,,the athiest "holds his collection plate out,and takes up a collection from the others and then complains"??????????

I'm curious,,,is there an atheist outreach program where they provide help for the newly converted atheist or is it all left up to the christian parents to provide the help? ,,Is there a phone # for us all to call to direct these to for help,,,,or are we all narrowed down to their Christian parents?,,,,

The Church doesn't need to change. The people who make up the church need to change the church into a Church.

Do we ask the condition of a person's heart before we help them? I believe that we help people in need to change their hearts.

Almost,,,,"change the (people) into the church",,,,
"church" -> people gathered together pretending to worship God

"Church" -> people gathered together in Christ worshiping God

There are too many people gathering in pretend worship!

Actually what I was saying is why people like the church's.
and what the big problem that how it effects most people who do that
and go back to a unsaved lifestyle,
I dont know why you keep using the term atheists.
The church is corrupt in many ways. most of it is religious and very judgemental.
wich is causing people to leave and live a unsaved lifestyle.
Only know god for you.
