[h=1]Revelation 11:19New King James Version (NKJV)[/h]19 Then the temple of God was opened in heaven, and the ark of His covenant[a] was seen in His temple. And there were lightnings, noises, thunderings, an earthquake, and great hail.

I've heard of many who have claimed to have found the ark of the covenant. Yet have never seen 1 single picture. But then we look here in Rev.11:19 and I can't help but think, "oh, ok this is why we don't have it" But there are many thoughts even on this verse as pertaining to why, when and how the ark is in heaven during this verse. Anyone else's thoughts? Shalom

I am sure you already know this but this is not the Ark that was in the Tabernacle...

Heb 9:2 For a tabernacle was prepared: the first part, in which was the lampstand, the table, and the showbread, which is called the sanctuary;
Heb 9:3 and behind the second veil, the part of the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of All,
Heb 9:4 which had the golden censer and the ark of the covenant overlaid on all sides with gold, in which were the golden pot that had the manna, Aaron's rod that budded, and the tablets of the covenant;

And what was in the Ark?

1Ki 8:9 Nothing was in the ark except the two tablets of stone which Moses put there at Horeb, when the LORD made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.

Now we read...

Heb 8:5 Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.

The furniture in the Holy of Holies, including the Ark were an exact copy of what is in heaven. Interesting isn't it that the Ark in the Temple contained the Ten Commandments. Now what do you suppose is in the Ark in heaven?

Was not that which was on earth only representative of that which is in heaven?

Yep, it was an EXACT copy, including ALL Ten Commandments that are inside.
..and, very interesting that our Creator keeps them (10 Words) in His throne room. They must be very important to Him indeed!

While all of that may very well be true (I have studied the book of Revelation very little), I do know that the Presence of God dwelt in the Ark.

And I know what Ark the presence of God dwells in today.

I do think Wyatt found it, at least I hope so. It would be evidence that could be seen in the natural and perhaps open many eyes concerning Messiah. I've wondered, if it is so, wouldn't this be published and shouted from the rooftops! Not until the time suits our Creator who is in control of everything.

[I have to say, out of all who have claimed to find it, Ron Wyatt's evidence is the most compelling. And I agree, if its to be found for the world to see, it will be in YAH'S timing. But man would turn it in to an idol of worship. That's probably why He hasn't allowed the world to have it if its still here. I honestly believe that YAH took it, but I'm not 100% convinced its not here either. But one thing is for sure, that since YAH put the 10 Commandments in the Ark, than they are of most vital importance to Him. Something for us as His children to take into serious consideration. For that means for us to keep His commandments is just as vital.

I do believe that when Christ returns the Ark will be found and put into the Temple during the Millennium.

That, I would have to agree with for the most likely scenario.

Everyone please realize, this is just my opinion. It is not scriptural, just seems the most likely scenario.

Ah just about every major empire in recent history has looked in vain for the Ark. Many unashamed liars claim they have found it. They have not found it. Yea, they could not even touch the Ark lest they die immediately.

It may be possible the Ark is still on earth, but I am more inclined to believe God carried it up to the heavens long ago in preparation for the Revelation when it will be seen next. Considerring the many stories of the Ark throughout the Bible I see no reason to not think that it is safely in God's hands.

As usual, all these posts represent the different approaches to God's word. There are the scoffers who make fun of anything of the Lord, who never read scripture as anything but how they want it to be. There are those who see scripture legalistically and report on how the way scripture is in the material world. And those who read it as spiritual only, so there is no connection between the physical and spiritual.

I don't think the symbolism in Revelation can be read as giving us exactly how it will be carried out in our physical world. It will be, but when we think we know how God will do this I think we usually get something wrong. For now, we are to understand the spiritual meaning of the symbolism.

Why would the 10 commandments be in the ark in Heaven?

Jesus fulfilled the Law and also entered once into the Holy place by his own blood, having obtained redemption for us all.

why would God need tablets of stone, now written on the hearts of men?

Why would God need tablets of Stone if his own Son , who fulfilled the law, is sitting on his right hand?

How could the ark still kill someone if the presence of God on earth now, is the Holy Ghost?

???

Why not? I don't see the reasoning behind thinking that the Ark (an object of great importance to God) would not still be empowered by God.

First reason?

God says so. He says the Ark in the Tabernacle is and exact copy of the Ark in heaven.

Second reason?

Because God rules the universe by His Law. It was in effect at the time of Satan's rebellion which was long before Adam trod the earth.

Seems to me since I used actual scriptures in my questions to you, you are stating God can change his word at any time, which we know is not the case.

You might want to study Hebrews 9, 2 cor 3, and Jer 31.

Atonement through blood was truth from the beginning of our world, Christ made it more complete. Christ said that the law stayed, although Christ made it stricter. We are not only not to murder physically, but not to say murderous things to others. The 10 commandments written on stone so even in our material world they never change is part of the presence of the Lord in our world.

Your misinterpretation cannot affect the truth. God's law is holy, it is part of God, it is truth. Christ said so in the gospels.
