    To live a peaceful life, we must be forgiving. Not only forgiving others of their shortcomings but forgiving ourselves also of our own failures, for it is easy absolving others and not ourselves. In a lot of ways, forgiveness is a gift. Though we don’t deserve it, it is freely given. That is why forgiveness effortlessly bonds with compassion and mercy. When we forgive, as men and women with feet of clay, we truly bear the image of God.
