    Each time we discover one of His names, it opens up a new relationship that we get to have with Him, as His branches.

    Let me explain further.

    Here's a few NT examples:

    When He says He is Father, we get to know Him as His Children.
    When He says He is our Vine, we get to know Him as His branches.
    When He says He is our Teacher, we get to know Him as His students.
    When He says He is our Husband, we get to know Him as His Bride.

  2. Is Jesus Our Rest?

    Is Jesus our rest according to Scripture?

    First we have to understand what it means to rest.

    God worked for 6 days and on the 7th He rested. This was the institution of the Sabbath, so its where we must start.

    God rested on the 7th day not because He was tired, He's omnipotent, His rest was to CEASE from His labors.

    Jesus is the rest of God. He allows us to cease from our labors.

    Jesus says this about Himself,

    Now let's address the Law a bit.

    First off the Law was given to Moses. And through Moses it was given to the children of Israel.
